amysusanne - I agree. As much as I complain about The Sopranos, I saw all of the tape submissions in the Best Actor category - as much as it pains me to say it, if I were being subjective I would vote for JG as well. That's not to say that HL doesn't deserve it, or that I don't want him to win. He was an incredibly close second. It's just that Gandolfini seriously tore my heart out. I hate The Sopranos, but he was just incredible.Seriously...it's tough trying to be unbiased because then you wind up voting for the other guy. {g} Back to top
Thank you That was the season 'finale'. He was pretty damn good in that one as well.Yeah...I mean, he kind of had it all there. The absurd, the genuinely funny, the serious, the *rage*. That episode wasn't one of my favorites, but his performance was kind of text book "bringing a little bit of everything". He nailed it.
Top Secret? Really?I think they like including their "alternative" episodes for submission and that was the closest they had this season. There was no "Three Stories" or "No Reason" or "The Mistake" this year. I *liked* "Top Secret", but it's clearly not as good as any of those three episodes...what it is is slightly outside the usual formula.
"I’m here tonight as Hugh Laurie in drag and he’d go crazy if I went to a psychic to see if he or House are going to win an Emmy," said House co-star Edelstein. "What if it’s bad news and she’s wrong? Or what if it’s good news and she’s wrong? I’ll let things unfold naturally."I know she was just being funny...and it's a great quote but knowing how Hugh feels about psychics and how nervous he sometimes looks at awards shows...I can actually see a conversation like that between those two!! Got that quote from here...
