OMG, yes about the death reel. What the heck was that about? We know what the Queen looks like, we don't need to see her sing!

What's with all the black and blue dresses tonight? Kate Winslet, Marianne Cotillard, Reese Witherspoon, etc. I've been wondering about the white sparkly dresses - Sarah Jessica Parker (falling out of hers), Penelope Cruz, Ann Hathaway...

fffaw- 02-22-2009

Yeah, and Evan Rachel Wood, Marisa Tomei, etc. etc. Not alot of color on the red carpet this year.

LightMyCandle- 02-22-2009

YES!!!!!!!!!!! :D :P Aww, her parents are there.

Poeia- 02-22-2009

I don't think theirs sparkled. WTG Kate.

Finally!!

fffaw- 02-22-2009

Hooray Kate! I think I just fell in love with Kate's dad - between the hat and the whistle, I was goner. ;-)

Nightdog Barks- 02-22-2009

Okay, her dad whistling was just the greatest touch ever.

Yay Kate! Love the whistle from her dad. And the thanking of Emma Thompson. But what I don't get is why she was kissing all those unattractive men around her because when the camera pulled back it revealed she was sitting virtually right next to Brad Pitt! I think I might have wandered over that way first. :-)

Did the best actresses get a standing 'O' when they walked out? Because the best actors just did. Hmm. Also, yay for Kate. And yay for thanking Emma.

fffaw- 02-22-2009

Angelina would have clawed her eyes out. ;)

sautomne- 02-22-2009

I'm so glad she won! And did Danny Boyle win for directing? Good. I love that man.

LightMyCandle- 02-22-2009

And yay for thanking Emma. That was so cute. I squeed again. I'm so happy for Kate.

fffaw- 02-22-2009

Adrien, I love you but would it kill you to wash your hair? ETA: THOSE FUCKERS! I cannot believe they didn't give it to Mickey Rourke.

LightMyCandle- 02-22-2009

Wow, I can't believe they didn't give it to Mickey Rourke. I really want to see "Milk." It's about the only nominated film I'm interested in seeing.
