"Role Model" song
The song played at the end of "Role Model" is indeed "High Hopes". It was the Oscar-winning song featured in "A Hole in the Head" (1959) with Frank Sinatra and Eddie Hodges (as his son). Sinatra sang a parody of this as the campaign song for future President John F. Kennedy during his campaign in 1960.
This is my very first posting as I am new to this site and look forward to contributing where I can. I have read the postings on this site over the past couple of years and I look forward to more of the same when season 6 starts on Sept. 21st.
Welcome! We're always happy to have new voices here. Don't be shy and ask questions if you have any.
Thank you
Thank you very much for the welcome. Although I was a latecomer to watching "House" (my love of classic movies, e.g. "Casablanca" led me to a youtube clip of the show's season 3/episode 4 episode - "Lines in the Sand" and the "Casablanca" liberties in dialogue), I wasted no time in catching up with seasons 1,2 and 3 and have watched every first run episode since "One Day, One Room".
I did start watching in time to see Hugh acknowledged with his second consecutive Golden Globe Award and first ever (at the time) Screen Actors Guild.
I totally agree with the music being an integral part of show and how great it is to see the appropriate placement at key moments. Through the years, my favorite of all these moments is "You Can't Always Get Want You Want" at the conclusion of season one's finale, with last seaon's "As Tears Go By" running a close second.
In the Cafeteria we have a thread for Links to House. One of the links is
Play.House, which has all the music (or almost all) listed by episode as well as which album it's available on, etc.
what was the very last song played on "Broken", when House is going back to his regular life?
Someone said Radiohead, but which album?
The last song was
Seven Day Mileby The Frames.
(If anyone besides me was trying to figure out why the voice was so familiar, the lead singer of the Frames was Glen Hansard, who played the singer/songwriter lead in the movie "Once."
The Radiohead song was at the opening of the episode, when House is detoxing.
thanks, Namaste.
I went to the play.house site but the music isn't up yet, hence my question.
So...what was the Radiohead song played in the beginning?
The official site has a full list of
songs used in "Broken"
Is there a list of all the songs played on the show, listed by episode, anywhere?
