You know what's awesome? They put Damien Rice on House. Twice. TWICE! Delicate AND Grey Room! Delicate is a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful song...and TPTB decided to put the lyric "We might kiss" on a frame of House and Wilson (it was in Humpty Dumpty, BTW). Also, the song also managed to ship H/W and H/Cuddy at the same time, both with the implication that it would happen if someone just had the balls to make the first move. Extra win! Grey Room was, like, the only good part of ODOR. I mean, Jesus, even the initials of the ep fail at life. I demand more Damien Rice in House. Also, I demand Apocalyptica on House. The entire concept of Apocalyptica is sort of like House - something vaguely normal (thrash metal) mixed with something completely bizarre (thrash metal on cellos!) Plus, Apocalyptica is distressingly amazing. If the musical members of TPTB were brilliant enough to put Damien on House, they should consider Apo. (I apologize for being incoherent...it's 1:30 and I'm just about to crash from an adrenaline high!)

I'm super happy with Elvis Costello's (love him!) Beautiful version but I'm the only one a little disappointed that Gravity and Love and Happiness weren't include?

Also, I demand Apocalyptica on House. The entire concept of Apocalyptica is sort of like House - something vaguely normal (thrash metal) mixed with something completely bizarre (thrash metal on cellos!) Plus, Apocalyptica is distressingly amazing. *gives romanshoes cake made of WIN!* You rock for bringing Apocalyptica to my attention; cellos give me total girl!wood (sorry, TMI?) and the music is to die for. And very much agree on it being perfect for House. *happy dance* My favorite song from House not on the CD (not that I was expecting it) was Sister Rosetta Tharpe's "My Journey to the Sky". So unexpected and such a great song; and I thought it fit nicely with the ending of the episode. Solomon Burke too, but SB has been winning at life for a long time. I didn't know from SRT though, and they recently released a book on her. She went back and forth between gospel and rock 'n roll and played a mean guitar. And can I just say, how totally jacked up is iTunes that Apocalyptica's song "Until it Sleeps" is labeled and, um, yeah . . . it's instrumental. Maybe the cellos just rock that hard? To the point where it's obscenely good? ETA: All the songs from Cult are labeled explicit. Dammit iTunes, why you gotta suck like that?

*happily accepts win-cake* Apocalyptica is made of awesome. It is too awesome for the general population, so they have to explicit-tag it. Damn it, they don't have Bittersweet on iTunes! Adding another band to the Must-Be-On-House list: Rammstein. Yes, they're German and sing almost exclusively in German, but House totally speaks German. "Ich Will" is a good House-as-a-person song ("Can you see me?/Can you feel me?/I don't understand you"), as is Engel ("God knows I don't want to be an angel". Stein Um Stein could be Cameron's song, because underneath all of that fluff she is actually a ruthless, obsessive person ("Stone by stone I will wall you in...I'll always be with you...no one will hear you scream"). Run, Chase, RUN! Mann Gegen Mann is Wilson's theme song. Except every single Rammstein song in the world is much too heavy-metal to be used on an American TV show. Grr.

Don't look at me - for some reason I can't quite remember - I have half the album in my computer. Bless the Interweb. But I will be getting the CD when it makes its way down to us on the bottom of the globe. What's that expression? You can't always get what you want, but sometimes you get what you need? And the fat guy from Heroes isn't a bad singer.

And the fat guy from Heroes isn't a bad singer. The former Bachelor guy gives me the creeps, though he seems totally pleasant. Still. *skin crawl* Latest iTunes binge brought me across Ron Sexsmith's Jazz at the Bookstore, which seemed like the kind of sentiment House would have about where jazz and blues are played nowadays. Also, I misheard the lyrics at first and thought they were "booze in the coffee-shop." ;)
