What Exactly is Your Problem with Me?: Wilson/Cameron
You heard me, Wilson/Cameron. Actually I don't see them as a romantic couple, I think it'd be disasterous, but I really like them as friends. In S2 there were hints that Wilson would mentor Cameron but it didn't develop that way, which disappointed me because if done right it would've been awesome. Their relationship in S3 was baffling. On one hand Cameron was clearly running to Wilson to fill him in on House's cases and behaviour, but on the other hand she doesn't seem to respect him much and he often comes across as impatient with her.

It's impossible for me see them in any kind of relationship. Because I think that Cameron envys Wilson position in House's life (and I'm not talking about Hoyay here!) That's why she goes to him to talk about House, it's her chance to puts herself in House's life in a role very similar to Wilson. That's why she seems so disrespectful of him in season 3, because if the best friend role is vacant, maybe she can try and play that role. If she can't jump House's bed, she can try to jump his couch. I guess Wilson is impatient with her because he can sense that. It's just a crazy idea, I know!

Ah, and here I can help with some diversity of thought-- I REALLY dig this pairing. To be fair, I'm one of maybe three people that does. And I write this pairing in fanfic a lot. Here's why I like it: House/Wilson is unendingly my OTP, but I think the tension between Wilson and Cameron FOR HOUSE'S ATTENTION is just delicious. Even all the crap their relationship went through between seasons two and three, and the completely schizoid way that Cameron acts around Wilson...all of that has major potential, I think, for action between them that does, unhealthily, revolve around their respective unrequited love for House. Did that make sense? Meh, probably not. Well, if you're not into this pairing but aren't repulsed by it, I'd read this: http://community.livejournal.com/cameron_wilson/120181.html#cutid1

Since Wilson is my favorite character on the show and Cameron my most hated, I really don't see the appeal of this pairing at all. I just don't get it lol. I don't want Cam cooties anywhere near my Wilson.

Meh. I've said it before and I'll say it again - I'd ship Wilson with a sandwich. At least Wilson/Cam would be interesting. If you find disaster interesting, that is.

LightMyCandle- 08-18-2007

407, you must get out of my head :D

Lully- 08-18-2007

I guess I don't like to see disasters  I'm with GG, I want Cameron far, far away from Wilson.

At least Wilson/Cam would be interesting. No it wouldn't! It would be VILE and ATROCIOUS. It would make the baby Jesus scream like the dickens and, even worse, it would make me claw my eyes out of their sockets. You wouldn't want that, would you, Cakey?

This pairing is so evil that I rec that no one post another word about it, so that it doesn't make a yellow flag suggesting that there is a real pairing to read about. Of course anyone who feels differently, feel free to post--I am all about diversity and free speech.

Hey, I started this thread because I wanted to talke about them as friends. ETA Oh, I wasn't complaining sz. Just clarifying my own position.

Taiga, its the shipper forum, you'll inevitably get a little bit of a pro/anti-ship comments here! I can't for the life of me see them romantically involved (I've discussed why on the Cameron thread), but even the mentoring/friendship thing flumoxes me at times, particularly in light of s3 & things like the prescription scene, though I could have seen it in s1. I just don't think Cameron particularly respects Wilson now or is willing to listen to him, so I can't see how it would work. Part of it is Cameron doesn't strike me as the kind of woman who has male friends, she has work colleagues & she has people she sleeps with & I'm not sure about the in-between.

I think Wilson could be a better professional mentor for Cameron than House is if Cameron were capable of stopping thinking about herself and her feelings (for House) all the time and be willing to respect him and learn from him as a doctor instead of just using him a tool in her doings wrt House. I don't see any romantic potential there at all. And also with the keeping the Cam cooties off Wilsie. :)

I tend to really like Wilson/Cameron scenes (except MLC, and then I just wanted to slap her silly). I like to think that there's tension between them because they are both so focused on House and there's some jealousy there on Cameron's side. I loved their scene in 'The Jerk' where Cameron just seemed to take it for granted that Wilson caring about House was the same as her being in love with House. "your logic was, I care about House as much as you do...etc" I liked how slashy that was.

You wouldn't want that, would you, Cakey? :shifty: I stand by my pro-Cam/Wilson position. It would be all doomed and stuff. I like doomed relationships. Much fun. Plus, it would be hot. I'm so twisted. It's ok. I know that there are only, like, 3 other people out there who feel the same as me.

I maintain: no Cam cooties near my Wilson, not even in a friendshippy way.
