We Need the Curry: Irrational & Crazy Spec (SPOILERS) A place to discuss those rather off-the-wall theories you may be having...
For those wondering where the name comes from:STACY: But he couldn't, could he? You know what Woody Allen said about relationships? "Irrational and crazy, but we go through it all because –
HOUSE: – we need the curry. And apparently, y'all do.
Let’s explain the ground rules and also define “crack”:
If the thought process is "Because we know such and such, what if... is also true" is a real possibility. But if it is just "what if..." without any "because" in front of it, it is wild speculation. Not just "because I decided to think so” – that doesn’t work.
If there is nothing in the show, the history of the show or the spoilers available to indicate that something may occur in the future, it is crack. Normal speculation is that something may be unlikely but it is based on what we know.
Even in this thread the serious hot button issues -- Nazis, incest, puppy-killing -- are not open for speculation. If there is something to back them up, they belong on the serious discussion thread. If there's nothing, they don't belong on HHoW.
Post away.

It's so obvious that House and Amber have been going to soup kitchens in their spare time, feeding the homeless. That is why they were together on the bus, sharing their feelings about helping greater mankind.
Chipmunk_love- 05-19-2008
Amber is obviously House and Cuddy's love child that they gave up for adoption back in medical school. She acts like House (and one could argue like Cuddy) and dresses like Cuddy. That's why House and Amber were at the bar together - she was telling House that he was going to be a grandfather because she's having Wilson's baby.
Nevael- 05-20-2008
Obviously Amber was having someone's love child; hence the amazing spontaneously appearing champagne!

Obviously! It was Chase's baby. They saved the fetus and will implant it in 13. Both characters are going to have a spin-off called Wombat MD and every episode will start by showing us how Chase washes and blow dries his hair.
Oh! And the very first guest star is going to be Wilson's hair.

I'm going to post this here, not sure it belongs on the other threads. It's a fairly crack idea I think, but one I can't get out of my head.
Cuddy & House have been seeing each other all season (in whatever timeline that equates to in House, don't know). As in lovers all season (or most of it). Hence his comment that no one but me seems to have seen in NMMNG when Wilson and House are discussing the fake syphillis and Wilson doubles back and asks House if he's going to keep on.... and House says yes (paraphrasing here), plus earlier House says he's doing his taxes and Cuddy.
Then that whole bit about how Cuddy allows House to run around like a monkey in a banana factory...and his admission that she should have stopped him (soap stud epi)...makes me wonder if this crack pot idea of a relationship is clouding her judgement.
It's a shame this thread is so dead...lots of fun crack ideas out there. Here's a new one...
So, the bus accident was a an assasination attept against House. Whoever that guy was who shot him in his office has come back for revenge, and he paid some garbage truck driver to plow into the bus, hoping to kill House. He could be some recurring psycho who keeps trying to kill House season after season. Next season, he can drop a helicopter on him.
Hey, gotta have some fun with these crack ideas, right?
Then Wilson's Heart...holding his hand, sleeping at his bedside. And telling him she's there, being far more reassuring than I've seen her with him in past seasons. She's crying.
I think Huddy has been happening behind scenes (possibly anyway). And if Wilson knows...just tack on the anger even more...Wilson lost his girl, but House gets to keep his.
I told you it was a crack idea but hey....that's why it's posted in this thread. Hmmm...may have to write this into a fic I think.

I can't figure out where to put this -- but I guess it's full of curry.
Over at Fox on Demand, they are now offering the last 3 S4 episodes of House -- #16 (Living the Dream); #17 (House's Head) and #18 (Wilson's Heart.)
So I'm going to speculate that there are 2 episodes they forgot to air which will be on the DVDs. :D

Oooh, I like this.
I'm going to speculate that at least one of those episodes includes a B story of 13 going on a car-jacking joyride with Wayne Brady.

And they choke a bitch or two! I nominate Cameron & Stacy. ;-)

Another crack idea...H & W aren't talking. Cuddy becomes ill and the two have to come together to heal her. Lame huh?

House thinks the stars are God's daisy chain.
Whilst "helping" Wilson shop for beds is he struck by the chrysanthemum pattern on the pillow because he intuitively knows that Evan is suffering from an allergic reaction, or because the chrysanthemum has other associations for him, for example - in some countries of Europe and in Japan, chrysanthemums are symbolic of death and are only used for funerals or on graves. Chrysanthemums have associations with autumn, and the dying of the year, as they have in Howards End “He stopped as he passed the new grave; a sheaf of tawny chrysanthemums had caught his eye.” I know House says he doesn’t read any fiction, but he’s lying. (By the way is it true that in the United States, the chrysanthemum is usually regarded as positive and cheerful ?). In Japan the chrysanthemum is also considered a symbol of homosexuality, as the tightly gathered petals are supposed to represent the male anus. Also, chrysanthemums are common visual hallucinations induced by the psychoactive Dimethyltryptamine. Its on the internet it must be true!
Perhaps any or all of these might be true for House, the intuitive reasoning tied to the emotional story.
It wouldn’t be the first time this season that House said it with flowers. He gave the players of the survivor game peonies, named after Paeon (the healer of pain) a student of Asclepius, the Greek god of medicine and healing. Asclepius became jealous of his pupil; Zeus saved Paeon from the wrath of Asclepius by turning him into the peony flower.
House interested in literature and the language of flowers, got to be crack!
Boffle- 06-21-2008
Great first post, Sparks (if you don't mind my shortening your moniker), both Wodehouseian and Houseian in metaphor as well as literary and classical allusions. Madeline Bassett meets Zeus via hallucinogenic, gay flowers. I think you'll fit in just fine. ;-)
Crack, though, perhaps not, though, if this be crack, I say, post on, oh mellifluous one!
Lully- 06-21-2008
ITA with Boffle... What a great first post Sparks! Welcome!
I had no idea that chrysanthemums are gay flowers... The things we learn here!
And in Brazil they are symbols of death and grief too. I would never expect to see a bedspread/pillow with drawings of chrysanthemums, though to tell the truth, I didn't even notice what kind of flowers was on the pillow...
SparksFlyUp- 06-21-2008
Boffle, Lully,
Thanks for the welcome! I hope House does not share any other traits with Madeline Bassett, as she is a weird Gawd-help-us.
Sparks (I like it)
Boffle- 06-21-2008
It's just possible that House would be unduly fascinated by the compulsive doings of a newt-fancier, so there may be wheels within wheels there.
Were I a parody writing sort, it would be fun to do a WodeHouse story. Gregory meets Bertie: the mind boggles. Guess this is the right thread for that!
