Poeia- 02-08-2009

As Doctors, both Chase and Cameron would know about using Ativan. Chase got some for her. My impression was that she wanted to loosen up and have some fun before February (when Chase said she had scheduled some time for fun) and, once she took the meth she decided to call Chase for sex. But it's possible that she was wilder when she was younger and, between marriage and being near the top of her class in medical school and a residency at the Mayo Clinic she kept putting off the fun until she became the moralizing stick-in-the-mud we knew and taking the meth was reverting to the way she was when she was younger.

Ariadne- 02-08-2009

If all she wanted to do was loosen up and have some fun before February, they wouldn't have telegraphed how scared she was that she was going to get HIV and die before she had really lived, and have Chase as the only person who showed her any sympathy. (I still haven't forgiven House for that.) Like Thirteen in Lucky Thirteen, she did what she did because she was scared and in denial. I think if Cameron had been familiar with post-meth crashes and how to handle them, she would have taken the ativan before starting work and her jitteryness wouldn't have been that obvious, nor would Chase have had to explain why he's giving it to her (the explanation could have been given to her instead "thanks, that will help settle me down"). But opinions vary since I think Foreman is a better candidate for the moralizing stick-in-the-mud role. (I doubt we'll get an apology from him for dismissing Cameron's marriage as not true commitment now that he himself in a relationship with a dying woman.) Should we take this to the Cameron thread? On to the crack: since I doubt Cuddy will be keeping Rachel beyond this season, maybe Taub's conversation with his wife about having children is setting up the Taubs adopting her. They're even both Rachels. (On the other hand, Shore may think of Rachel as a consolation prize for Cuddy if he ends Huddy.)

I'm combining spoilers for 'The Softer Side' and 'The Social Contract' to brew this crack: Wilson is getting a sex change!

deelaundry- 02-21-2009

 That'd get him out of his rut for sure. I hear KayLee is a woman's name that would suit Wilson. House called it, too, way back in "Alone"!

Taiga- 02-21-2009

He did? I don't remember that, but cool. KayLee? So he and House would get married and have a daughter named KayGreg? Yay!

Poeia- 02-21-2009

He did? I don't remember that, but cool. KayLee? So he and House would get married and have a daughter named KayGreg? Yay! When he hid the cancer patient in the wrong room he said "If you feel sick, you call me directly, not Dr. Wilson. He's getting his last set of hormone shots." I like this. Are the doctors going to make him a blonde with green eyes while they are doing the operation? He would look very pretty.

Taiga- 02-21-2009

Absolutely. He'll still be tall but House will love him anyway. If someone is wondering what the hell we're talking about, we're referring to this famous fic.

deelaundry- 02-23-2009

If Wilson's getting a sex change, maybe he's doing it to be lesbians with House. In the press release for today's episode (the one with the kid who has both male and female DNA) it says: "When discover the shocking answer, they must face the prospect that House may be changed forever." :P

I have been reading many interesting suggestions of what might cause Chase to get more screen time in the final episodes of this season on the spoilers thread. After listening to DS and KJ make promises for the past two years, I have been a little nervous about getting my hopes up that Chase will become a more prominent character. Therefore, I've come up with a couple of my own ideas of what they may have planned for him: 1) There has been some speculation that Chase will no longer be able to do surgery which is why he must return to House's team. Just what that may is still open to debate. As I see it, it's been rather obvious since last season that Chase has slowly been developing a fear of sharp objects. This is why he refuses to cut his hair and rarely shaves. Eventually, the fear becomes so severe that he can no longer go near a scalpel. 2) Thirteen's Huntington's worsens to the extent that she needs a doctor to follow her around to help her with certain tasks she can no longer perform. This has the added bonus of enabling her to have even more screetime because, as we all know, telling her story is like a marathon. Chase is chosen for this task because he has the most free time. He still won't have many lines and will mostly be seen in the background chewing on straws and looking in his coffee. I think this idea makes the most sense because Jesse said the storyline would be “challenging” and what could be more challenging for a great actor than have to sit back and watch OW act her many dramatic scenes while he has to manage to keep a straight face.

House is going to bond with a cat! Finally my dreams come true.

m_supercomputer- 03-04-2009

So! A hint of romance for Wilson. This will clearly be like that story of Dee's Family Way, where House has dreams of himself and Wilson that are kind of about himself and Cuddy and kind of not. That's the twisty and kind of cool way for House and Cuddy to have sex that DS was talking about. Or else House has dreams of possible futures with Cuddy, Cameron and Wilson, to give all the ships a nod, with dream sequence kisses/sex. He decides not to move forward with any of them, but maybe he and Wilson have a Look towards the end of the show.

deelaundry- 03-05-2009

Oooh. For years I've wanted to write a House hallucination/dream where he goes through a day at home with his honey -- with said honey cycling between Cameron, Cuddy, and Wilson as the day goes on. For example, he wakes up with Cameron and starts a conversation; she goes into the bathroom and they keep talking; and then Cuddy comes out of the bathroom and continues the same conversation (while Cameron is nowhere to be found). Very Twilight Zone-esque but very interesting for House, to discover how he got to the point of living with each of the others, and to examine how he relates to them. Or, the show could go the "Spin City" route*, and flip it around so Cameron, Cuddy, and Wilson (and others too, maybe) have "daydream" sequences of what it would be like to be in a relationship with House. And I've always wanted to have a DVD extra where they took one love scene with HL and ran through it three times, letting RSL, LE, and JM say the exact same lines to see how the mood of the scene would change. Not that I've thought about this a lot or anything. *HoYay fans will want to skip to 7:40 on this. :)

Ariadne- 03-05-2009

I'd love to read the one where House goes through a day with all three cycling. Maybe even see it as the second last episode of the series. I'd be leery of the Spin City route though. Of the three of them, I think only Wilson really sees House for who he is. And I've always wanted to have a DVD extra where they took one love scene with HL and ran through it three times, letting RSL, LE, and JM say the exact same lines to see how the mood of the scene would change. I think I'd buy the DVD for that.

Taiga- 03-05-2009

Wilson's new romance will be with Chase, that's how Chase gets more screentime. Yep. No wait, I've got it: House has amnesia. Again. He can't remember the last two years so he doesn't know who the new team is, so he fires them and makes Chase and Cameron come back.

hwshipper- 03-21-2009

The major character death that we've just been spoiled for turns out to be Wilson. RSL stays with the cast as a new character: the recently found LLB, Daniel Wilson. RSL moans in interviews about all the extra work he has to do, but effortlessly and superbly portrays a schizophrenic version of Wilson, and is awarded an Emmy the following year. House, crazed with grief after Wilson's death, scoops Danny out of the NY hospital and takes him into his life as a Wilson surrogate. He quickly finds it a challenge living with someone who looks so much like Wilson but isn't, and moreover turns psychotic without drugs. Danny, meanwhile, finds out that House is almost as psychotic without drugs as he is. Two seasons later, House and Danny find themselves even more co-dependent than House and Wilson used to be. Huddy having crashed and burned in a spectacular mess aons ago, Doris Egan steps up to the mark and writes an acclaimed episode where House and Danny end up in bed together. Danny accuses House of always being in love with his dead brother and using him as a lookalike substitute, and leaves. House spends the last season completely away from PPTH, searching for Danny in gutters and alleyways just like Wilson used to. In his absence, Foreman finally gets to run the Diagnostics department and screws up it up majorly most weeks, yet somehow keeps his job *shrugs*. Taub and Kutner actually do all the work. Thirteen died tragically a season back when an anvil fell on her, and David Shore was pissed that nobody cared. Chase and Cameron left two seasons ago when JS & JM finally got fed up of sitting by the pool for 24 weeks on end. Ten new characters have been introduced in compensation, and are busy competing for limited screentime. In the final final ep, House discovers that Danny has killed himself, just like Wilson did. House attaches electrodes to Danny's head to wake him up for a final unnecessary sappy goodbye by the entire extended cast. This takes up most of the episode. House then travels to the ends of the earth to track down the third Wilson brother, who after all these years, TPTB have still not bothered to name. In a flash forward, the last scene shows House & Wilson Brother #3 (played, of course, by RSL) in a civil ceremony on a remote beach somewhere, with the ghosts of Wilson and Danny as their witnesses. RSL says in interviews that he's very relieved House is over, as playing three characters at once in the last ep meant he had to work an entire day during the last week of filming. THE END
