I'm a House/Cameron shipper (yes, we do still exist!), and our little branch of the fandom has been seeing a lot of first-time fics lately. Yes, I'm writing one, too. Because they never did get around to having sex, and now that Huddy is over... Not that any of us expect in a million years that it will ever happen on the show. Just that the breakup has provided a jumping-off point for our active imaginations.

There's been a real resurgence in the H/W fic community. I think because of the lack of H/W on the show, so we're making it up for ourselves. I write post-ep fics after each episode, which I find extremely cathartic.

I'm doing more reading than I've done in a long time, although that's still not half as much as I might like. There's only so much I can read while I'm writing, it seems. One or the other has to give. But it's been really encouraging to see the resurgence lately, and the newer authors arriving with fresh ideas. I like it a lot.

I'm fairly new to your work, which I love. There's an amazing amount of talent in the House fan fic community. I do tend to get depressed that I'm spending all of that creative energy on it, but it's better than spending it on nothing. And I make myself laugh.
