There are so few women -- even Hollywood thin -- who can wear a strapless gown with nothing bulging over the top. Carol Burnett was one (Bob Mackie did the costumes for her show and once said that of all the women he dressed, she had the most perfect body. And that man did Cher's costumes.) Anyway, LE is definitely another. She looks spectacular.

um guys is the title meant to say toothpaste?

Lisa is the whole package: vibrant, smart, confident, and sexy as hell. The fact that she can tone this down somewhat for her role in the opening weeks of "House" this season makes her all the more remarkable.

um guys is the title meant to say toothpaste? All the quotes on the actors' threads are from real-life interviews. LE said something about getting such quality work when she thought her career would be ... No, I meant because when I posted that, the title said "toothpase". I see it's been fixed.

This is a young Lisa from the late '80s, singing the song "I Hate Condoms" from the musical she wrote about AIDS Positive Me. According to Wikipedia, this is when she was "Lisa E.," a New York City club kid during the days immortalized in the book and movie Party Monster.

This vid demonstrates that Lisa has been smart, sensitive, beautiful, funny, edgy, and concerned about the larger social issues for many years. She is a gem!

There was an interview with Lisa in one of today's Boston free papers. https://www.bostonnow.com/entertainment/television/2007/11/26/prescription-for-success Too bad the picture they used is from S1.

This is a nice interview someone posted over on that other place. I think it's from an Aussie publication. Sounds like she may have broken up with 'bunman' because he didn't want to have kids. http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i142/Gothic_Phantom/ni_tve_hc.jpg

Sorry for LE's heartbreak (if she is experiencing any, that is) but it's probably for the best. She wants children and that guy looked like he was completely capable of fucking up an otherwise impeccable gene pool.

As long as they keep it interesting, I’d be happy playing Dr. Cuddy for another three years. That's an interesting quote, and not the first time we've heard someone with the show indicate it might last for seven seasons. Is that some kind of standard length for a successful show? Do they have a seven year plan? Makes you think.

When Hugh reupped his contract (last year?) was it for another four years (making seven total)? I'm thinking both DS and HL might have contracts for that long and thus the comments. Neither have exactly made noise like they'd like to take House into ER terms. Seven is a pretty good stopping point. Because the show depends so much on Hugh I've never thought it would go for very long. The West Wing (the last show I was obsessed with) went for seven seasons, which was about two too many. But you never know, if the show is still a hit by then Fox could dangle some pretty good $$$ at HL that could overcome his misgivings. It's happened with other hesitant actors in the past (James Gandolfini, if memory serves).

There are exceptions of course, but there are few shows that run five series. The norm seems to be that once a show is successfull enough to run five series, it gets the full seven - and sometimes with great success. DS9 is a good example. Personally I prefer S5 but S6-7 are absolutely amazing as well.
