Thought I'd Be Doing Toothpaste Commercials: Lisa Edelstein
Here you can talk about the actress who plays Cuddy.
(Quote in title from a 2007 issue of TV Guide)
I would like to say I am glad you didn' feel the need to point out that LE was the actor in the thread nam :)
There are a few images of LE at a fashion event in New York
here. She's supposed to attend Save the Children's 75th Anniversary Benefit tonight as a member of the honorary committee.
ETA:
house_daily now has the pics of LE at the benefit.
She looks gorgeous in that black dress!
Thanks for posting.

NY Cynthia Rowley showMore LE at Bryant Park
here and one pic
here. She's with Fern Mallis of Project Runway in a few of the pics.
Lisa loves fashion week! More photos are
here and
here.
Wow, I got a little excited for LE there for a second--in one of the photos she's sitting next to a very handsome guy. Thought maybe the boyfriend cut all his hair off and became magically attractive. But no...that's clearly someone else. Yoga guy is still fugly and is now wearing Cuddy's clothes that don't/can't button all the way.
misere, is there a filming break or something that she's been in NY most of this past week it seems?
I obviously don't have any more information than the rest of you do, but I can speculate. LE probably planned to attend the Save the Children benefit Thursday in part so that she would have the opportunity to attend fashion week as well. There are numerous charities that she supports in and around LA, so it seems obvious to me that this was a fortuitous occurrence. She has only been in NY (it seems) for four days. She's probably already returned to LA. Because she usually only works a few days per week (like RSL), I don't think it would be too difficult for her to request that her scenes be worked around her schedule.
That guy's Nigel Barker, a judge on America's Next Top Model.
It's kinda fun looking at the photographs of her from Bryant Park on Getty Images. I love the purple dress from Pamela Roland, but I don't like the pouchy blue gunny-sack thing from Reem Acra. (Especially when she's sitting with Becki Newton from Ugly Betty, whose dress is much cuter.) And the dress at Catherine Malandrino is just blah.
Tastes really do differ quite a bit. LE's dress at the Reem Acra runway show is one of the best she's ever worn, IMO. I prefer it so much more to Becky Newton's because the cut is so unusual, yet flattering. Newton's looks like any strapless dress to me.
The Reem Acra blue IMO looks really good except in the couple of shots where you can see its too big in the waist & kinda baggy. The problem with that blue one with Nigel Baker is the sleeves, get rid of the frilly & it would show off her shoulders so much more. ITA re the Malandrino, frumpy & its those sleeves again. The pale purple is okay, but I don't care for that color on her.
Three of those dresses are the same satiny kind of material that JMo's pink thing was, (but not so much!). I went shopping this weekend & was astounded how much of this is in the stores for fall, loads of blouses & dresses. It may be the fashion but it sure is a bit hit or miss whether it photographs well.
See, I like the color and the fabric (guess shiny isn't always bad...), and actually, the neckline, but I don't think it's that flattering. I think it's just too long overall, and at the wrong angle it looks like there's a giant pouch hanging from her front.
(But then, I really don't understand the volume trend - was it inspired by all those muffin tops caused by low-rise jeans?)
at the wrong angle it looks like there's a giant pouch hanging from her front.
This ITA with. But it seems to be the thing?
