The Sympathy Vote’s in Your Pocket: Online Polls
I'll think of a clever name later (and am open to any suggestions as to what that might be). A lot of different websites have polls. Some of us love voting for House and the cast. Others are bored to tears at the thought (and past tears at seeing one more post about them.) So... this is the place to tell your fellow forum members about the la-*test*-('") poll that they simply must vote in. If you know how long voting is open, please include that. If you want to keep your fellow HHoWers informed of the standings, this is the place. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ And I'll start it off with the Hello Magazine's year-end "most attractive" polls. In the category of "Most Attractive Man," Hugh Laurie is currently in 2nd place (about 7,000 votes behind David Tennant) In the category of "Most Attractive Woman," Jennifer Morrison is currently in 6th place. Apparently, if you have Firefox, you can get around the "every 15 minutes" rule and vote often if you close your browser between votes. "Voting ends on January 17 at 13:00 BST"

Er, I'm not actually one of the poll funsters, but I just checked out the Hello Magazine poll for fun, and noticed Hugh had-- 3 -- votes. Amazingly, this does not place him last, but he's fighting for the basement seat. Is this the same poll he used to be second place in, next to Sean Bean? What happened? Was there a voting box scandal? ETA I went back to give poor Hugh at least one more vote, and when I cast it, he suddenly went up to his old number and is in second place. Obviously I am a jinx and will take up my old policy of avoiding polls forthwith. Friends like me Hugh don't need.

No, it's just just very glitchy. I voted about 10 times since it started but decided to do my bit last night and voted about 50 times. About half of them he had 1 - 5 votes. I started backing out, refreshing then re-entering to cast my votes.

No Way!!!!! Hugh Laurie conquers all!!!!!!!!! I can see why nobody like Jennifer Morrison as much. I like her though-I don't see her wearing flashy make-up (either that or i need to watch more tv)

Um...but I don't think Hugh Laurie is an eligible candidate for the Most Attractive Woman Poll.

He beat David Tennant. And there have been plenty of times the Scottish lad has *acted* in drag (and I'm still looking for the Friday Night Project caps - found it). But Sean Bean winning? Don't know about that one. He is good looking, but no Hugh Laurie, David Tennant, or John Barrowman (why wasn't he on the poll ever?). Of course, Hugh Laurie has done drag as well.

Dork that I am, I completely missed the list of men. So Geege, you don't think Tennant is handsome, huh?

Actually, it's a British poll. And, Johnny Depp is in the current one - against David Tennant, Orlando Bloom, and Keifer Sutherland. ETA - monthly poll. But Richard Hammond (Top Gear - the unofficial land-speed record for the UK) is in the weekly one. Think of the Hamster! Especially since Harry Potter is ahead of him!
