The Math is Pretty Simple: Chase/Foreman Okay... it's funny watching them argue. It's like watching an old, married couple fight. "I'm right!" "No... I'm right!" And, besides, a relationship like that, would free House and Wilson up for each other... :D
But anyway.
This is the place to discuss all aspects of the relationship between Chase and Foreman. Maybe you see it as romantic, maybe you believe they secretly want to be friends or maybe you just enjoy their antagonism - whatever you believe, talk about it here.

I've come to the realization that I'll ship Chase with anyone on the show, and decided to show Chase/Foreman some love.
Honestly, I love the dynamic between these two as much as I love the one between House and Wilson. (I know...blasphemy!)

You and I have that in common. Except the whole Resignation thing. Ouch! The lab, geez, talk about harsh!

I like the potential they have. I don't ship them romantically, but I do want to see an actual friendship evolve. I think if Foreman would get his head out of his own ass, he'd find that Chase has made attempts to be a real friend to him. I wish there was some way he would find out that Chase was going to bat and standing up for House for him even after the stupid "I don't like you, never have, never will" comment.

I love the banter between them, its similar to House & Wilson but more competitive. I'm just not thrilled with Foreman being mean to Chase at the end of the season. Maybe he's upset because Mr Foreman Snr likes Robert better than Eric :D
(& also, I suggested a re-naming of this thread - are folks wedded to this one? I suggested "Here, pussy, pussy, pussy." from Babies & Bathwater).

I think Mr. Foreman should adopt Chase. Chase is a "good son" who doesn't have a father. Chase was happier to see Pop Foreman than Son Foreman was! So, really, Pop should have taken Chase home with him. Mom Foreman wouldn't have known the difference* and Chase would even have said a prayer over the dinner table.
*I'm not saying that to be cruel. Both of my grandmother's had Alzheimer's. I've been there. My brother's best friend John went to visit with the family one day and my Grandmother thought he was Jon Bon Jovi. Sometimes you just have to find the humor in the heartache.*
PS: I don't know about that title, Renee. Some people still find the word pussy extremely offensive. (Maybe it's a regional thing? I was shocked it got past the censors.)

Do you guys remember Fools For Love and the whole patient's house thingy? Gawd, the major suggestiveness and what might have happened!!!

awww....hugs, extra cat!
The thing I think I would like best about Chase and Foreman getting together (imho not going to happen sorry :( ) would be how Cameron would take it....Let's just say I wouldn't want to be Chase or Foreman then, especially if you added in House's predictable comments.... Be fun to watch though.

Foreman has never liked Chase. Chase was aware of that as early as S1 (in Histories Victoria says "he doesn't like me" and Chase replies "that's okay. He doesn't like me either.)
I don't think Chase has ever called Foreman on it. He's been supportive when necessary (after House Training, for example) and pleasant but aloof the rest of the time. For the most part, Foreman has also kept up that facade.
I think that ended with Foreman's "I don't like you. Never have, never will. You want me to share some more?" in Resignation and Chase's subsequent refusal to write a peer review (which seemed to surprise Foreman.) After that, I can't imagine anything between the 2 of them.
Put in a situation where they have to work together, I'm sure they would be fine. But I can't imagine anything more than that.

Ok... Cameron finding out about this pairing would be incredibly entertaining. Is it wrong to ship them just for that?
What can I say? I'm obviously some of of ship!whore. Don't judge me

I do realise that they've never been close, which makes me sad. But I have hope  that maybe, TPTB will make them friends.
But I really want something more between them. Because they do have chemistry and personally, I HATE Chaserson.
I dunno, I just have a gut feeling that the reason they argue is mainly because of jealousy (and a feeling that neither of them can place.)
But then, maybe that's just me, lost in my own little world of HoYayness...

I like Chaserman as a FRIENDship ship. I love reading and writing fics that might put Chase and Foreman in situations where they have to work through Foreman's preconceptions and Chase's passiveness to realize they actually could be friends.

Its interesting, for all the characters antagonism, they do have chemistry together on the screen (mind you, JS would have chemistry with a wooden box  ). Foreman & Chase interacting is way more interesting than Cam & Foreman or Cam & Chase, for me. Just look at the yard scene in Family (C/F) vs the yard scene in LitS (Ch/Cam) or the B&E scene where Chase "arranges" for Foreman to see his Dad. Canon friendship/antagonism or whatever, I like watching them together (& the slash is fun to read too!).

I agree. In my opinion they are every bit as entertaining as House/Wilson- just not as over the top. Acting wise, JS and OE really bring out the best in one another. I don't know if it's the amusing contrast between their two characters, or if they just get on really well. (Omar just seems more animated and even a bit more playful in the Chase/Foreman scenes) Whatever it is, it works.

Ooh, me too.
The slash is great too, but if it happened in canon it wouldn't really make sense. In fanfiction? I really don't understand why they're ever clothed.

I think there's a great parallel between the two characters that Foreman's oblivious to and Chase is (at least) mildly aware. They both grew up in opposite, awful situations - Foreman trying to survive the rough outside world with a strong family core to keep him going, while Chase was given every opportunity and no center, no support and a whole lot of responsibility. Foreman wants recognition for his feats, the victories he's had in the face of adversity while Chase is happy with whatever slice of life he can get and hold on to. Foreman would never kiss ass - he worked hard for his dignity and he's not about to compromise it. Chase? He knows what it's like to have to scrape by in ways that aren't always glamorous.
They're so polar that they instantly attract.
As far as actors go, I love Jesse Spencer wholly. He's great in whatever he does and Omar is pretty great too. Together they give RSL and HL a run for their money. (Only slight blasphemy!)
