Oh, Hugh standing up for Spielberg with a little smile on his face. Adorable!
So wait...David Duchovny won for "Californication?" Sweet! He is so perfect in that role!
He presented an award.
I think they flip flopped the best comedy series & best drama series categories. Best comedy series was done when best drama series was supposed to be. If so, best drama series won't be until much later - 3rd to last award.
The schedule I'm reading said the TV Drama award was given out...but it hasn't been, right?
I think the Drama and Comedy awards are backwards on the list.
Awhhh. Danny Boyle! I love when they get emotional.

He did.
I was supposed to go see Slumdog last night - it was sold out. Now after all these awards I'll probably never get in.
In Bruges! Colin Farrell is this year's Hugh Laurie. Funny and incredibly well-spoken.
Aw, Colin Farrell seemed really surprised and touched.

He did. I was just wondering why he was speaking to the point where he'd be thanking his wife profusely. I guess he presented? And worked in some thanks?

Nice speech, seemed very sincere and sincerely surprised. I was torn because I thought he and Brendan Gleeson were both terrific. Too bad they both couldn't win. It always amazes me to hear this being called a comedy, though.
Kate
Totally. I am so cracking up, but at the same time cringing.
Kate won two. Wow, she seems so overwhelmed. She's great.
