Obit - Wilson's Long Lost Brother
Wilson was having a bad day. No, not a bad day, a really bad day. So bad, that even House sensed that something was wrong.
"Wilson, you're making me feel sorry for myself. By which I mean, I absolutely need to know why you're sulking so I can do something with that info," House said in perfect rhythm to his improvised game of hit the nurse's station with the ping-pong ball.
"Not now House," Wilson said as he walked past his friend, cup of coffee in his hand and a stack of charts in the other. "You wouldn't understand."
This irritated him. Since when did he, Greg House not understand something? Aside from girls, which were icky and full of cooties, and even then Cuddy and Stacy never really counted in that category. "What wouldn't I understand?" he asked, deciding the direct approach might actually work this time. He opened Wilson's office door for him.
"Thanks, well, I guess I could tell you," Wilson said, placing his things on his desk as House took a leap towards the couch. "It's the fifteenth anniversary of my brother's disappearance."
"Oh," House said, disappointed. This meant that no matter what they did, Wilson would be like this the rest of the night, which put a serious crimp into House's personal affairs for that evening. "Did you ever consider calling your mom to ask about it?" House asked nonchalantly.
Wilson looked over at him. "Why?"
"Because you always tell me to call my mom? Just give it a try." House said, fishing his iPod (by which we define as Wilson's iPod) out of his pocket. Wilson rolled his eyes and picked up the phone, dialing a familiar number.
A few minutes later, House felt someone poking him and pulling at the earbuds of *his* iPod. "Thank you House," Wilson said and sat on the free edge of the couch.
"Doth thine ears decieveth me?" House asked. He wasn't familiar with getting thanked.
"I called Mom. Turns out I don't have a long-lost brother. Just a British comedian named Stephen Fry who was looking for this guy who looked like Hugh Laurie."
House was puzzled. "Oh, that's odd," he said as he put the earbuds back in his ear. The subject was never brought up again, and Wilson was in a decidedly much better mood.
Steve McQueen squeaked in praise.
ETA - edited to move the Chase as Surgeon standing to the correct spot.
I still want answers for both, but all good games must come to an end...

Chase stood in the alleyway, waiting. Waiting.
Waiting. (whooooo. Spooky.)
Suddenly, a dark shadow stepped in front of the opening. It checked its left, and then its right, making sure the coast was clear. Seeing that it was, the shadow hurried towards Chase.
"Do you have it?"
Chase nodded and brought out a manilla folder.
The shadow nodded and grabbed the folder.
"You sure this is going to work?"
"Of course. You'll be back at work by Monday..." The shadow hurried off again.
*~*~*
It was about a quarter to 3 when Chase's phone rang. He picked it up and mumbled, "Hello...?"
"Dr. Chase? I'm sorry to call so late. I was wondering if you could cover the Diagnostics Department for about a year or so. Dr. House is... on loan to the CIA."
"Uh, sure. I'll be there."
"Thank you, Chase."
Chase hung up the phone and grinned to himself. Maybe that Cut-Throat Bitch wasn't so bad after all.
So now what do we do? A new survivor game? How about one with only House moments. Then Wilson only, then etc. you get the point.
We're working on a new one right now. Don't worry.
