LOL, I think my first tv boyfriend was Frankie Santana (I'm pretty sur, nobody remembers him) from tha a-team... oh well, there was Albert Ingalls too
Okay, I had no idea who that was, so I had to look him up. I don't think I ever watched later episodes of ""The A-Team", but I totally remember that dude from "Bay City Blues". Which is probably kind of sad since there's really little reason to remember that show at all in spite of having some good actors on it.
My five year old self was a bit of a tramp because I remember having a crush on Albert (who was definitely my biggest crush at the time and grew even bigger when "Whiz Kids" came on), James, Adam *and* Willie. I think Willie definitely got a lot of play in the times he would stand up to Nellie on behalf of Laura and, you know, he was cute when he got older.
But right now, my favourite show (yes, it's not House ) is Friday night lights! Even if this second season is a little weak in comparaison of the first one, this show is almost perfect.
Thank goodness for DVD because in a couple of months when I've officially exhausted the contents of my tivo and will have begun the early stages of television detox, this one is at the top of my list to finally watch.

I didn't know "Bay City Blues" and of course didn't know Eddie Velez (Frankie Santana) played in it. You know, the fifth season of th a-team is aired now here, so maybe it's why I remember him very much.
I loved Andrew too... it's why I watched JAG sometimes  .
It's funny how we can be attached to a particular character and then to a particular actor. I can add a lot of characters/actors to them  Now, I've grew up... but I still need my tv-boyfriends
I really hope you will enjoy FNL!

Andrew *was* cute back then. I forgot all about him.
Little House sure did roll out the eye candy for the pre-teen girls. It was like every Disney Channel show these days rolle into one! {g}
I will always need my tv boyfriends. They're fun!

A long time ago, there was a discussion about "Bones" and the actor playing Brennan's brother. The general consensus was that the same actor was also the lead in "Burn Notice". It seemed right and then seemed worng.
I was over at a neighbor's and we were watching an old "Without a Trace" tonight and the actor who played Russ on "Bones" was the guest. The more I looked at him, the more I didn't think he was the same actor as the lead in "Burn Notice".
Because I have so much time with the strike going on, I finally did some research online and they are not the same actor.
Loren Dean plays Russ on "Bones" http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000363/
Jeff Donovan plays Michael Westin on "Burn Notice"
http://www.imdb.com/find?s=all&q=Jeff+Donovan&x=14&y=7
The thing about the 2 actors is they don't look the same, but they look the same if you see them in different situations. I could see either one of them being mistaken for the other in a police sketch, if that makes sense.
Just something i felt like sharing.

Oh, I forgot! Dexter is coming to CBS on February 17!

Loren Dean plays Russ on "Bones"
Loren Dean, while I'm sure he has played many different roles in his career, will always be Joe to me. As in "Joe lies, Joe lies...". As in Joe from "Say Anything".
I can't see him anywhere or even think about him without immediately seeing Lily Taylor.
And completely unrelated, but "Boston Legal" Tuesday? Kind of weak overall, but I'm pretty sure that Shatner just won himself, at the very least, another boatload of nominations.

"That'll never be me, that'll never be me. That'll never be, never be me. NO... NO, NEVER, NEVER, EVER. And don't you EVER THINK IT. "
He was pretty good in Mumford, but I remember watching it and breaking out into "Joe lies" several times during the movie.
I think that, for my generation, he'll always be Joe.
amysusanne- 01-18-2008
Funny that he's so strongly associated with a role that got so little screen time. But, hey. That's Joe. Nobody sings "The Greatest Love of All" like he does.
"Mumford" was decent. I was all crushy on Jason Lee then, though, so I don't remember if I liked the movie or just liked seeing him on screen.

That clearly was his Emmy episode. He was amazing. I love Denny so much and I loved seeing him in court again.
amysusanne- 01-18-2008
Yeah, it was total Emmy bait. He was excellent. I really wasn't crazy about the episode itself, but the characterization of Denny and Shatner's performance were both so amazing. I like the vulnerable Denny. And as much as I liked Alan worrying about and looking out for Denny, I liked that Denny was flying on his own. It was perfect. If Shatner wins another statue, it's very well deserved.
Now that I've finally caught up on the entire season, I think I'm liking it. The changes weren't as distracting as I thought they'd be and, really, my biggest gripe is that I think they're wasting John Larroquette. Totally wasting him.
galaxygirl- 01-18-2008
As much as I love John Larroquette, and Carl Sack, he is indeed wasted on the show. They could be doing so much more with him. Then again, he came to replace Paul, who was also wasted pretty much the entire time he was on the show. Of the new girls, I don't like Lorraine, I do like Whitney and I absolutely love Katie.
Did Spader wear his own glasses when he was in disguise at the court room? I think he was, but I'm not sure.
amysusanne- 01-18-2008
I didn't really pay attention to it. I was too distracted by the mustache. But, you're probably right. They were black, right?
I don't like Lorraine either, but I don't dislike her. I think my ambivalence might have to do with the fact that I watched this season in a very short amount of time. All packed together back to back you kind of get to the point quicker than having to deal with her "mystery" week after week without resolution. Still, if given the choice between her and Tara, Denise, Claire, etc., I'd far prefer having one of the old women back. And with Whitney, I didn't think I'd like her from the ads themselves, but her first scene with Carl kind of sold me on her. She's clearly the replacement for Claire. And Katie? I'm with you. She's adorable. She's a good match for Jerry.
Re: Larroquette...they tease with the funny (the scene with him, Jerry and Mary Gross) and the human (him watching Clarence perform at the club) and they've actually done a good job making Carl/Shirley seem very real, I just wish he was actually around more. Walking down the hallway furrowing his brow just isn't enough for me. But, you're right. He's Paul 2.0. Hopefully, whether it's this season or next, they'll have more Carl-heavy storylines.
galaxygirl- 01-18-2008
I liked Denise and I grew to like Claire(same with Jeffrey Coho), I'd much rather have either one of them back over having Lorraine on the show. I hated last season's FWB storyline, I did love how that ended up though, because I really liked seeing Brad and Denise end up together(I still have my doubts if that baby was indeed Brad's ;)) They could have handled Julie Bowen's RL pregnancy much better than they did.
I'm impressed with how well Katie is working with Jerry(and boy, does Jerry have issues), she's so freaking adorable it should be against the law.
My favorite of the women by far is Shirley. When I grow up I want to be Shirley.
houserocket7- 01-18-2008
TNT is going to start showing "Bones" starting January 29.

OMG, OMG, OMG Those who read spoilers probably already know this, but since I'm trying really hard to stay spoiler free...Lost spoiler---> Michael is coming back this season, just saw his name in the cast list over at TV guide. I wonder how they are going to tie him in. Maybe in the flash forwards that we'll be seeing...<---
