Lots of Lost fans around here. I watched the first half of season one before I started working Wednesday nights and never got caught up again. I see that you can stream the entire series at the ABC website, though, so it looks like it might be time to catch up.
The last season of The Wire started last night and it was, predictably, excellent. I'm really interested in this season's central theme - the waining influence of the print media. The problem is, I watched the first four seasons on DVD and it's going to be hard to wait a week in between episodes instead of fitting in an hour (or several) when I had time.
Any other fans?

So Lostaholics, who do you all want to see a flashback from the most? I would love a flashback from Danielle, I want to know how she ended up there, what really happened to her crew and such fun stuff. I would also love a flashback from Richard Alpert, who freaks me out because of the whole not aging thing. I wonder where he came from and how long he's been there.

That would be so awesome!!!
I want to know more about Jacob

The whole Jacob thing was freaky, I definately want to know more about him. Lots of theories about him on the web.
I'm reading now about all the anagrams used in Lost, they spend a lot of time on those names.

I have to say that Dexter is awesome. I heard they were planning on showing it primetime because of the strike although editing it must be a nightmare. Michael C. Hall is terrific in it. :D :D :D :D :D

Yeah, isn't CBS picking it up? That will be cool, but from what I've heard, the editing WILL be a nightmare.
And I'm sad - I've seen nothing about the US version of "Life on Mars" coming to our screens as promised by ABC and David E Kelley.

I think LoM is in danger of not getting picked up because of the writer's strike, which is sad. I've heard that the first ep is in the can, but nothing else. One episode completed? Not good. :(
Very cool Geeg, very cool.
I was watching TV the other day, and I know that "Oceanic Flight 815" is a generic term for a flight on a TV show, but I heard it and immediately thought of Lost (I wasn't watching ABC). Looking forward to the new season to distract me.
And, are they doing the full season or is a shorter one due to the writer's strike?
ETA - Nevermind:
"Lost" will premiere Jan. 31, with at least eight new episodes.
The series has an order for 16 episodes, but the other eight weren't completed before the strike. The eighth episode can act as a season finale if need be.
Well, at least we can get a mini-fix.

From what I've read on the 'Lage, there have been multiple sightings of the Oceanic Air commercial on only cable networks so far, Cartoon Network, Sci-Fi, Food Network and Travel Channel. None on ABC yet.
I know some of you watch Boston Legal, did you all see the episode where Alan and Denny sue the National Guard? It was priceless. Alan and Denny playing tennis on the wii at the beginning of that episode, equally priceless. That show is so made of win at the moment.

WOW, they are really hyping the Sarah Connor Chronicles. They even maanged to do a deal with AFRTS to get it for oversdeas viewers. The downer, AFN is saying it will be six months before they can get the entire show( a standard turnaround time BTW) but that is still kind of like inviting somone to the buffet and only giving them a taste of the offerings.
On the plus side, say what you will about HEroes Season 2 I am happy to get it on teh big screen here, so small yay for a strike shortened writers season. We will have something new that isn't American Idol

WOW, they are really hyping the Sarah Connor Chronicles.
They've been hyping it heavily all month. They were hyping it the month before, but now it seems like every commercial break has a SCC promo, especially during football games. If Fox can't get 15M viewers for each episode this week, I don't know how they are ever going to launch another hit drama. Playoff games both Sat. & Sun. for an advertising blitz, existing movie franchise for name recognition, no Golden Globes, basically no competition to speak of...
amysusanne- 01-12-2008
Yeah, Fox should be bowing down to the WGA, HFPA and NBC for making their lives very, very good this weekend. If people don't watch SCC Sunday they're simply not going to. Hopefully it'll actually be *worth* watching...

but now it seems like every commercial break has a SCC promo
There are no commercials on AFN programming, part of the agreement that gets programming overseas but since AFRTS got the premier they are putting a special "commercial" on Sports and Pacific
I don't think it is necessary, I think you are either goingt owatch it or download it one way or another.
Speaking of drama, how about dem Packers???

I think Agent Cooper was my first tv boyfriend
LOL, I think my first tv boyfriend was Frankie Santana (I'm pretty sur, nobody remembers him) from tha a-team... oh well, there was Albert Ingalls too
Lots of Lost fans around here.
I used to be during the first season... then I totally lose interest. Charlie and Eko were my favourite charaters and they just wasted them. I really hope Charlie will be back in a way but till then, I won't really watch.
Talking about Dexter... I love Brotherhood!
But right now, my favourite show (yes, it's not House  ) is Friday night lights! Even if this second season is a little weak in comparaison of the first one, this show is almost perfect.
