Bones.
I can't believe I'm about to type this, but ZOMGWTF?!
We're going to get the DVDs and go right through all of then and then we're going to see if they made any notion of an idea that Zach was Gormogon's apprentice.
What the hell?

I could never really get into Bones but aside from Booth (I love me some David Boreanaz) Zach was the only other character I could stand. But, I tell you if I was into that show that finale would have p*ssed me off like no other. Reminds me of what happened with Colby last year on Numb3rs but at least he turned out to be innocent.
NCIS did not need to be 2 hours long, they were just dragging it out. That said, I'm glad Jenny's dead. Lauren Holly cannot pull off that character. She just can't. She seems to think that speaking very, very, very slowly equals authoritative. I cringed everytime she spoke onscreen. On top of that, her character was boring. Was I supposed to care about The Frog? Her father? Freaking Paris that we had to have flashbacks of every other episode? 'Cause, I didn't and I never bought the romance with Gibbs. So, good riddance as far as I'm concerned.
I hope they're not really pulling a House, because unlike CCF, I actually adore Tony, McGee, and Ziva. I love them as a team, I feel actual affection and like for each other, although I'm a little peeved at McGee for immediately sucking up to Vance that way he did.

I'm with you LMC. I love the team, I needed some time to get used to Ziva, but I love her now. I probably like her better than I liked Kate. Tony probably is ready to lead his own team, as he already showed when Gibbs 'retired'.
I didn't think it needed to be a two hour show either, it could easily have fit in one hour. I didn't really care about the director one way or the other, so her death didn't really do much for me. I was relieved it wasn't one of my favorites, they had me worried about Tony and Ducky when the first rumors of the death came out. I probably would have been able to deal with any of the others dying and Mark Harmon has way too much power to have Gibbs die so I wasn't worried about him at all.

I think A Pain in the Heart was a perfect title for this Bones episode because everytime I think about it I get heartburn :(

It was called A Pain in the Heart? Seriously?
Wow. Well named.

Was NCIS poking fun at House with that finale?
Late to the party, but someone over at the other place compared it to the CSI splitting of the team, half to Ecklie's shift, the others stayed with Grissom.

The New York Times does a long spread on Mad Men which comes back for a second season in July. I know I'm repeating myself, but damn, I love this show. I think it's a shoe-in for the Emmy this year.
One of my favorite aspects of this article is how much of a Nazi Matthew Weiner is about spoilers getting out. I've not been a Soprano's follower but I guess the feeling that a loose spoiler is akin to a "mortal wound" is something that carries over from his years on that show before bringing his own Mad Men universe to life.
OK "Mad Men" fans. This week's Advertising Age (which happens to be a sister magazine of the magazine I work for) has a multi-page mockup of a 1960 "AdAge" featuring the Mad Men cast on back cover of the actual AdAge. (Featured story: "Sterling Cooper Wins Kodak Projector Account" and a Q&A with Don Draper.)
I nabbed a couple of extra copies. If you want one, PM me.

The next House or the next New Amsterdam?
All I can say is this - it looks interesting. Same premise as House, lead character with an amazing gift for detecting something about lying. It's not by DS, but it will be on Fox. Not sure how snarky it will be, but we'll find out.
Also, did anyone see the leaked trailer for Life on Mars US?

I choose to believe that Zach killed no one, but took the rap because he had been brainwashed. That is the only way I can accept the finale. Where's Gordon Gordon when I need him?

I was a fan of the old "Morse" mysteries that aired on PBS, and now that Morse's sidekick, Lewis, has come back in his own "Inspector Lewis" series, I'm seriously digging that. The fact that Lewis' sergeant is handsome, brilliant, musical and has a dry, dry, dry wit doesn't help. Neither does lines like Lewis' comment: "My school motto was 'A Sound Mind. A Sound Body.' They gave us a choice."
