I totally missed the Caruso reference. I must have left the room. What did they do? Plus Craig keeps call the show Borneo He was calling it Boneos (or Bonios, I guess). Hence all the boner jokes. I think David was a little high. It was weird from the start. But, funny. I wasn't sure who "Uncle Art" was either, but figured that it was probably something obvious. It wasn't *quite* as obvious as I thought, but I did realize that I actually know who that is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Live_with_Regis_and_Kelly

I totally missed the Caruso reference. I must have left the room. What did they do? I could try to describe it, but it would make no sense. It happens around 3:40 of the clip and involves the sunglasses. David on Craig's Show I wasn't sure who "Uncle Art" was either, but figured that it was probably something obvious. It wasn't *quite* as obvious as I thought, but I did realize that I actually know who that is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Live_with_Regis_and_Kelly Thanks! Of course, I don't watch Regis often enough to know, but enough to know Art Moore when reminded. Edited by Fiddy to remove extra tagThanks Bones' shocking finale clip

About Bones: You bastards, whyyyyyyy??? Not amused. He is not...He can't be dead

About Gossip Girl - thanks for leaving us up in the air for the whole summer (yeah, it's what finales are all about but...). A total shakeup of all the couples. Just when I started to like Nate & Vanessa! Chuck Bass the romantic and Blair was awesome but Chuck, how could you revert to your old tricks?! Well, I guess that spares me from reading about "Chair" all summer. Argh.

About Bones: You bastards, whyyyyyyy??? Not amused. He is not...He can't be dead  It's much more aggravating. I'm seriously pissed at TPTB.

I still don't get it. I know that there was a throwaway line about how they staged his death for the good of a federal investigation, but that's like making the hero of the story wake up out of a dream and realize that none of it happened. Lame. Was there something else?

galaxygirl- 05-19-2008

That's how I understood it. I wish they had done the groundwork for the whole thing after Zach's return from Iraq. That would have made so much more sense but since they didn't come up with this until after the strike, it all feels rushed and out of nowhere. I will never be able to watch the first seasons the same way knowing what I know now :( Interview with Eric Millegan.

Would this storyline make more sense if I had watched this whole season more carefully? Or is it safe to say this is one of the more absurd turns on any television show this season?

galaxygirl- 05-19-2008

It's pretty absurd. It feels like they put everyone's names up on a dartboard and threw some darts to pick who the apprentice was. I'm very disappointed about the whole thing.

If the interview with the actor is to be believed, that sounds about what they did. It seems like the writer's strike brewed some pretty horrid story ideas during the downtime. GG, who is the guy in the Royals jersey? I'm a KC kid, but my ignorance is showing.

GG, who is the guy in the Royals jersey? I'm a KC kid, but my ignorance is showing. David Cook, if I have my way, by this time on Wednesday he'll be the winner of AI 7. The interview with Eric pissed me off even more.

Okay, they might be able to redeem themselves if we find out that Zach was brainwashed into confessing to the murder. It could be a part of the PTSD story that they were not able to pursue this season. Zach, as a murderer, makes no sense.

About Gossip Girl - thanks for leaving us up in the air for the whole summer (yeah, it's what finales are all about but...). A total shakeup of all the couples. Yeah, that was a little weird. More strike fallout, I guess. If there had been a couple more episodes then things would have fallen into place a little better because as it is, that wasn't very satisfying. Most everything leading up to that point was, though. That's someting. I loved Chuck/Nate (wtf with liking Nate???) and I loved Blair/Dan. And Blair/Georgina was great too, even if it seemed a bit too tidy. Didn't like jump seat guy. I have no issue with Blair cheating on Chuck or dumping Chuck for somebody (especially since it's clear that he was at least *planning* to cheat on her), but not *that* guy. Please. Also, Lily and Rufus? Not really sure what's going on there either. I'm going to guess that TPTB don't either. I wasn't crazy about how quickly Chuck reverted, but I enjoyed watching the wheels turn. And I'm a big fan of the show's abrupt music cues. I loved it with Serena's "I killed someone" moment and I really enjoyed it with Chuck's rose moment. Okay, they might be able to redeem themselves if we find out that Zach was brainwashed into confessing to the murder. It could be a part of the PTSD story that they were not able to pursue this season. Zach, as a murderer, makes no sense. I think they made it clear that Zach's not a murderer, he just killed someone. And that's not to diminish the fact that Zach *killed* someone, but I think they were trying to be clear in that Zach's not a murderer, he was manipulated. Not that I don't agree that it was a BS way to wrap up the storyline. Unfortunately, even though I avoided spoilers I still knew that someone was leaving and it was clear early on it was Zach. Which sort of sucked. I did find the morphine moment to be really touching, though. The friendship between those two was always great and that's really what I'll miss. I will never be able to watch the first seasons the same way knowing what I know now I don't really get that, though. Zach in the first two seasons and up until, apparently, three months ago, wasn't a "bad guy". He was Zach. He got sucked into this thing very recently, so it really doesn't cloud the earlier seasons. If it was going on the entire time then it would put everything in a new light, but it doesn't really ruin anything prior to the second half of this season for me. I still don't get it. I know that there was a throwaway line about how they staged his death for the good of a federal investigation, but that's like making the hero of the story wake up out of a dream and realize that none of it happened. Lame. Was there something else? They didn't actually fake anything but the death though, right? It all happened save for his actually dying, which we didn't actually see. So, everything until we opened this show actually happened. When he got shot the Feds took advatage of the situation. It didn't really feel forced to me so much as it felt rushed. But, that's how two out of three shows I watched last night felt, not to mention a couple last week. The strike made things weird.

TrooperCam- 05-20-2008

I will never be able to watch the first seasons the same way knowing what I know now I didn't even know anyone was leaving. I knew when they were throwing aspersions on Hodgins that it wasn't him. My husband wanted it to be Cam but I pointed out the apprentice had to be male. I am really very upset by this. this came out of left field. At least with House I had some idea what was going to happen, but I had not seen or read any promos or spoilers. I really really did not know he wanted to leave the show.
