I didn't even know ER was still on. I completely lost interest when Mark Greene died, but was already on my way out after Doug Ross left. Dr. Ross is still my favorite tv doctor ever.
I would find it awesome though if they manage to bring back Doug for the series finale.

Well, next season is supposed to be the last season, and Noah Wyle is supposed to be back, so that's good. But honestly, I haven't paid attention since Dr. Green died. What's that been...almost 10 years now?
Not yet six. Ten years ago Doug was still around.
I'm just glad they're actually going into the season with the knowledge that this will be it. It wouldn't *shock* me to see Doug and Carol show up in a cameo, but it also wouldn't shock me if they didn't. Clooney definitely hasn't been shy in pointing out that it's more likely to come off silly than anything else if they attempted it and says he doesn't expect to be asked. Honestly, while I know that his appearance in "Such Sweet Sorrow" was for Juliana more than anything, I'm still a little annoyed that they didn't at least *try* to get them both to make cameos at Mark's funeral.
I still expect lots of guest appearances sprinkled throughout the final season, though, and some recurrers that we haven't seen in awhile showing back up for one last appearance.
Over at TvGuide they are comparing him leaving the show in the way that was planned with how Glenn Quinn left Angel and look how that turned out.
:crying: :crying: :crying:
The whole Glenn Quinn thing still makes me sad. I adore Doyle so much.
JW has always denied that Glenn Quinn was fired. He maintains that Doyle's death was planned from the very beginning.
In fact, the last episode was the first time I really felt something for the Doyle character. He had been so full of potential, but underused.
And talk about an actor speaking in flawless American (as Becky's boyfriend/husband, Mark, in Roseanne).

Between Bones and House tonight, I'm sensing something of a recurring theme here...
amysusanne- 05-13-2008
Seriously. And both were big dramatic moments leading into *another* episode. Don't they usually reserve that shit for season finales? I was actually kind of happy after last week's "Gossip Girl" and last night's episodes of "House" and "Bones" to find that the best moments in the *latest* GG were somewhere in the middle. It was a nice change of pace. {g}
Line of the night out of the three shows I watched:
"I'm Chuck Bass."
Awesome.
Emily shooting the crazy bitch and that truck hitting the bus were awesome visuals, but I only rewound those moments a couple of times. I had Chuck on a loop.

I couldn't agree with you more. My love of Chuck Bass increases with each week.
Oh the drama! ITA, amysusanne - there was enough there for a season finale and we still have a week to go. And to see Chuck, Blair, Nate (and even Vanessa) band together to attempt to vanquish Georgina and stick up for S.
And the Lily & Rufus liplock on the eve of the Van der Woodsen/Bass nuptials! Amazing. I thought Lily was mad cool when she found out about Serena's secret.
amysusanne- 05-13-2008
It's a very strange and complicated thing, my love for Chuck Bass.
Oh, Lily and Rufus. Awesome. Ultimately doomed, but it made my heart all warm and fuzzy just the same. And Lily just made herself a spot on the great TV Mom list, imo. The way she took care of Serena was great.
I enjoyed the little brigade of Georgina fighters, though I did wonder what took them so damn long to get there. It was frustrating to watch Vanessa's confrontation with her because as cool as she was I was thinking, "this is TV Land, you're giving her time to regroup before they can get here and bitch slap her around the theater!". Still, everyone from my favorites to the total black hole time suckers were great last night and I loved them all. I'm just happy Jenny wasn't involved because the tiny bit of goodwill I gained towards her last week is enough for me. She's getting no more.
I'm thinking that this episode is going to get a second viewing tonight. I was almost 100% spoiled on "House" and a tiny bit spoiled on GG and "Bones", but I'm going into next Monday night only spoiled by adverts. I think it's gonna be a good night for me because it could turn out great or be a big ol' mess and I won't know until it's all over.

When Dan said Jenny was with her mom, I was so pleased. She was the last thing this episode needed.
I'm going into the GG finale unspoiled except for adverts as well. House, not so much due to modly duties. ;-)
GG was the surprise hit of the season for me. I had no idea I would like it as much as I do.
amysusanne- 05-13-2008
Jenny being at Mom's also gave me another reason to call Dan a douche when he skipped out with G. I mean, yeah...he can watch it on youtube all he wants, but he was supposed to call his *sister*. So, I guess Jenny did do one good thing for me. Now if she can do everything off camera from her mother's house, that'd be great.

Lots of singing on "Bones" last night. Who knew Zack could sing? Adorable in his own geeky way. And Emily really sings well. Loved Booth's reaction!
Total shock at the ending and loved that she was a great shot. Booth and Bones have great chemistry.
Episode did have a feeling of trying the throw a lot of different things in, but i liked it.

Her sister sings pretty well too! :-)
amysusanne- 05-13-2008
I love Zooey's voice!
I can't remember where I read it (probably TVG) but Hart was talking about Emily getting to sing and pointed out that Emily's a great singer while Bones isn't. I thought Bones actually sounded pretty good. She wasn't supposed to be *Zack* good, but I thought she was okay. I guess in Hart's world they were showing us that Mrs. Brennan really did lie to her as a child, but in my world Bones sings well enough to entertain me on karaoke night!

Me too. I really like the She & Him album.
Now all I have to do is check out Ed Westwick's band. There's probably no point in hoping that they're Chuck Bass-good, right?
Damn. I really do love me some Chuck Bass. amysusanne, we may have to start a support group for Chuck-aholics (not that I want a cure or anything) ;-)
amysusanne- 05-13-2008
But, don't half of those support groups really only act as enablers anyway? {g}
