Is anyone watching Canterbury's Law? Is it any good?
I saved the pilot and finally got around to watching it today, and the recording is so jerky (as if half the frames were dropped) I can't watch it :( So is it worth watching online?

:crying: No more Breaking Bad, No more The wire  When will The Shield come back :?
As for New Amsterdam, I let this show a chance. The second episode was ok. I have also the impression to watch Life sometimes...
I haven't watched Canterbury's Law, sorry. This didn't sounded very good but maybe I will let it a chance.

The Riches is back tonight! And if I remember, I'm totally going to watch it! Eddie! I do so love Eddie! Even with a bad American accent, it's impossible to not love him.
If anyone saw the last 3 episodes of last season and wants to fill me in-that might be helpful.

So is now the time to brag that I just got tickets to see his show this summer? He's on tour across America, if anyone's interested.

Well, if you're going to brag, bailey. I will too. Front row, just stage right of center. Where are yours?

Uhhh....not that close, unfortunately. But I'm glad you got tickets, too! I'm not sure what to expect. Now that he's made much more of a break into film/tv, I'm curious as to what his stand up is currently like.

Interview with Eddie Izzard from the front page of Sunday's NY Times Arts & Leisure section.

Reowr! I appreciate his drive, but I do love a bloke in a dress. So I'm torn.

How was The Riches? I meant to watch. I really did. But i have this project that I'm working on...I got so absorbed that I completely forgot about the time.
Whether doing comedy or drama, Eddie Izzard is leaving his skirts and fishnets in the closet
radiosweetheart- 03-19-2008
I don't know! I missed it! Due to how I was having a truly fascinating conversation about...Obama? touring? TGIFridays? Obviously important enough stuff to go on until past my bedtime.
And apparently The Riches is never airing again.

Has anyone been watching HBO's "In Treatment"?
I checked it out after reading a piece in the NY Times about it. Based on successful Israeli TV show. Features Gabriel Byrne (with his delightful Irish accent) as Paul, a therapist. Of course, he is compellingly human.
Unusual format. Half-hour episodes on each week night. One of the four clients has the same day for each of the 9 weeks. Friday is devoted to Paul's sessions with his own therapist, beautifully played by Dianne Wiest. Nicely cast--has included Blair Underwood, Melissa George, Michelle Forbes, Mae Whitman.
The first 9-week series ends next week, but I would imagine there will be repeats.
I just realized that there are several related forums, including one at tv.com.
Maybe I'm just late coming to the party!
eta: He recently was on Charlie Rose's show. http://www.charlierose.com/shows/2008/03/05/1/a-conversation-with-actor-gabriel-byrne

The Bones people will be at the paley center in Beverly Hills on Wednesday.
Make No Bones About It
Wednesday, April 9, 2008; 7:00 pm
It's Moonlighting meets Law & Order and CSI. Forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan and FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth solve murders that involve victims in states of advanced decomposition, backed by a colorful staff of scientists at the Jeffersonian. Brennan and Booth's investigations engross the viewer both intellectually and emotionally as their contrasting, yet complimentary, personalities and world views are further explored and revealed with each new case. Join the cast and creative team of Bones for a conversation about one of TV's most thoughtful crime dramas.
In Person: David Boreanaz, "Special Agent Seeley Booth"; Emily Deschanel, "Dr. Temperance 'Bones' Brennan"; Cast and creative team

I fear that seeing David Boreanaz in person would be too much for me. It's hard enough to keep up with the storylines of the show when he's in the frame, but in the flesh? I'd pass out from all of the hotness.
I finally watched "Enchanted" this past weekend (very cute and Amy Adams is adorable) and Michaela Conlin (whose name I think I just mispelled) showed up for two seconds without a bit of dialogue. I figure that she was probably on hand for more than that, but it just got cut. Still, it was a little surprising seeing such a familiar face at the end of the movie and then having her gone in the blink of an eye. I sent it back to netflix without watching the extras (assuming there were extras of substance), so I didn't check for deleted scenes. I probably should have.

So, you're saying this is the wrong summer to be in Japan? Sheesh! ;)
bailey- 04-08-2008
Is anyone else watching John Adams on HBO? Anyone? Anyone? OMG, It's fantastic. And I'm a little disturbed by the fact that I'm finding Thomas Jefferson to be really hot! (I'm not sure there's a therapist alive that can handle that kind of revelation.)
I also really liked Enchanted. Just checked out the IMDB board and it is full of comments about Michaela Conlin and wondering why it is that she's just barely in the movie--the group concensus being that yes, her role must have been severely cut. :-)
