Doogie Howser was two decades ago? Oh fuck. I'm old. Doogie Howser is doing Old Spice commercials? Oh fuck. He's old.

NPH can be as arrogant as he wants. He's Neil Patrick fuckin' Harris! He can cut me off in traffic, spit on my dog and insult my cooking for all I care! As long as he keeps doing that Neil Patrick Harris thing he does he will be A-OK with me! amysusanne, your story reminds me of a guy my sister graduated with. He got all the leads in the HS plays, went off to a snotty private university and my sister (who was always typecast in 'character' roles) went to a state school. He spoke with great pity about how Sis would never get to "live her dreams" and how a state school was such a waste of talent. Two years later, she's earning her living in theatre. He's flunked out of that private university, and is a drunk with at least 1, but I'm pretty sure 2, knocked up girlfriends. Ha HA! Your dreams were shattered!

As long as he keeps doing that Neil Patrick Harris thing he does he will be A-OK with me! These are definitely my thoughts on the matter. Hey, NPH? You wanna trip me in the middle of a busy street while pointing and laughing? Bring it. Ha HA! Your dreams were shattered! My favorite brand of schadenfreund. The funny thing was that we were sort of in this black hole between middle school and high school because the 8th grade had just been moved into the high school buildings, but wasn't considered a part of high school. It was like we didn't exist and that this older guy was paying any attention to us at all made many an invisible girl *and* boy swoon. The saddest part of being a tween and early teen is probably the douchebag blinders you wear before you realize that you don't actually *need* that kind of attention. And I'd have to consult friends (assuming any of them remember the stupid things about those years that I remember...which is sort of doubtful) to be sure, but it seems like he made us all work for it before he came right out and said NPH was a jerk. I think he went all "blind item" on us and made us do some leg work.

Doogie Howser was two decades ago? Oh fuck. I'm old. Doogie Howser is doing Old Spice commercials? Oh fuck. He's old. Yikes! That means I'm old too. I'd sit on the couch watching Doogie Howser (wow, hard to not type House there) and wishing I could be a doctor. It was a formative time of my life, a time when I transitioned from childhood playtime to adolescent forms of entertainment (mainly, Doogie Howser). The NPH is an ICON!!!!!!!

NPH is awesome. It's a fact. And I'm convinced in it more than ever after watching this.

NPH is the "Out" coverboy this month and it's an excellent, excellent article. Not to mention a photoshoot that will prove most distracting.

Bernie Mac died of sarcoidosis.

March301- 08-09-2008

Bernie Mac died of sarcoidosis. I saw that. How awful. :( I was shocked. Seems like we're losing just far too many good people this year. Hey, NPH? You wanna trip me in the middle of a busy street while pointing and laughing? Bring it. I think my NPH love has some limits. If that happened to me, I'd probably trip him right back and then go, "Freeze frame high five! What up!" And then, as I'm dragged away by security I'd go, "I'm awesome!" But I can't imagine him being that much of a jerk. I mean, he does magic, for heaven's sake. Like for real. And who has ever heard of a jerk magician?

Bernie Mac died of sarcoidosis. I saw that. How awful. I was shocked. Seems like we're losing just far too many good people this year. Is it official the scarcoidosis had anything to do with it. Both Fox and CNN reported it was pneumonia.

Is it official the scarcoidosis had anything to do with it. Both Fox and CNN reported it was pneumonia. Yeah, they said it was pneumonia in the report I read, although sounds like the sarcoidosis wasn't helping matters.

amysusanne- 08-10-2008

Yeah, I think the cause of death in this case is being ruled as pneumonia. I'd read in several places that the sarcoidosis had been in remission for several years, but I imagine that such an illness makes you more prone to things like pneumonia. Bad deal all around. he always seemed like such a great guy. eta: and another one goes. THR is reporting that Isaac Hayes was found dead in his home. No cause of death released yet. He was 65.

This forum is like the Mall of America - you can find EVERYTHING you want here! I've just discovered the "Talk About Your Favorite Comedy" store. I love Seinfeld. My favorite episode is the one where Kramer discovers the Merv Griffin set in a dumpster and sets it up in his living room. All four stories are woven together with perfection. It took me awhile to get interested in Arrested Development, but I got hooked in the second season. It's so quirky that some people are completely turned off, but I'm glad I stuck with it. Perfect casting. My current favorite is "The Office." While I love Jim and Pam, the romance that fascinates me is Dwight and Angela. There have been a very few episodes that I haven't liked, and they've all been over-the-top selfish Michael episodes, such as when Phyllis got married.

How I Met My First Wife? Any thoughts or ideas about this? Does anyone really care how Ted met those mute kids' mother? Aren't we like way more concerned about Barney and Robin? Where are the Barney spoilers? America demands more NPH publicity!

amysusanne- 08-15-2008

I think LAT finally got wind of the fact that I hate their blogs, so it won't load. But, yeah...I *do* care about Ted and, hopefully, Stella (and to be honest, bringing Sarah on definitely upped my interest because I *didn't* care) to a certain extent, but I care far more about this latest, long expected development. I'm not generally a shipper. I'm especially not a sitcom shipper. But, I need more of this. I finally saw the television version of NPH's OS commercial yesterday. Love it.

March301- 08-15-2008

I like Stella a lot--I really like Sarah Chalke. I'm trying to see how her kid she's got now fits into the larger picture if she really is Mom, although I guess her kid could be living away from home. (If she was born in, say, 2003 she'd be about the gang's age in 2030.) However, I feel like once you introduce the mother, they'd have to do some quick thinking, as she'd be immediately recognizable to the kids. Even if Stella isn't the mother, I think she's a major part of the puzzle, 'cause she was at the St. Patrick's Day party. Okay, so obviously I care. Now, on to Barney/Robin-- the one everyone cares about. Here are some spoilers I found on how the first episode picks up. Sounds iiiinteresting.
