And now all the blanks of what I missed last night are full. And some of them are even on hulu!
Don Draper's guide to picking up women:
http://www.hulu.com/watch/40972/saturday-night-live-don-drapers-guideThroughout the entire opening of "House" last night, all I could think about was "The Pear Dream". If either of the POTW had said "we are lost"...I wouldn't have been surprised.

You know it's strange you should mention that, amy, but...I had the pear dream again last night. You were there.
I think I'm insane.
Some interesting spoilery casting news for my fellow 30 Rock fans (and for Mad Men fans):
Should this be in white? I'll put it in white just to be safe. I got it from
SpoilerTV.
~~~~~ SPOILER ~~~~~
TV's best comedy and drama are about to collide in the most spectacular of ways.
Sources confirm to me exclusively that Mad Men star Jon Hamm is in advanced talks to do a multi-episode arc on 30 Rock.
Cross your legs -- there's more!
I'm told Hamm, who presumably got bit by the 30 Rock bug last week while hosting Saturday Night Live, would be playing a potential love interest for Tina Fey. Word is he's Liz's neighbor.
Although Hamm's deal isn't done, my Rock-solid mole assures me that it's happening.
~~~~~ END OF SPOILER ~~~~~
Aaaaaah! NightOwl!
Although let's open this up for discussion....is it weird to have an actor that plays an iconic character to guest star on another show while their own is in production? I mean, do we want to see Hugh popping up on "How I Met Your Mother?"
I'd love to see Hugh show up anywhere! Especially on How I Met Your Mother! With NPH! Come on! It would be legen... wait for it... dary!
I think it's cool. I'm trying to think of other examples where this kind of thing happened... hmmm...
I've never watched Mad Men, but it's in my netflix queue. I never understood the love for Jon Hamm... he seemed kind of plain to me. Until I saw him on SNL last weekend. Wow. I get it now. (I still love Hugh and Damian way more, however, and will probably not develop an over-the-top interest in Jon.)

JH had me at "hello" in the Mad Men pilot. I should say that I technically have seen him in other projects but he didn't register with me. And, in retrospect, I love his girlfriend, Jennifer Westfeldt because I thought Kissing Jessica Stein was a wonderful, wonderful sleeper hit kind of movie. I barely remember JH in that and yet he was. Might have to watch that again.
But having said that, my love for him skyrocket up even higher after seeing the SNL stuff. I just hadn't realized he was that funny or could be that funny. Love, love, love. I recently watched his pre-Emmy interview on Jimmy Kimmel where Kimmel is assuring him that the Emmy is his, although JH is definitely not conceding that and says that he's sure Hugh will be the winner. Sniff. Makes me feel bad for both of them. :-(
Hugh and Damian both had me at hello.
Maybe Jon will in Mad Men too. We'll see.
I really loved his James Mason impression. Mygod, I was laughing so hard that I was crying. And the host photos that they show after commercials? Some of Jon's photos were absolutely smoldering.

Given that they're both middling shows, "iconic" probably doesn't fully apply, but we've got Sarah Chalke pulling double duty on "Scrubs" and HIMYM and I like it a lot. And, again, not the same situation at all, just a working actor, but you couldn't throw a rock without hitting Blair Underwood on television last season where he was a regular recurrer on at least three shows. Larroquette has done guest work on other things while keeping his day job on "Boston Legal" as well. It's not really the norm and I'd be hard pressed to find the star of a show who has pulled double duty on something, but I wouldn't really find it all that strange or distracting. And this particular show is such a special show. It's not really in the same universe as most other shows. It's like getting a guest spot on an episode of "The Simpsons".

I totally don't remember him in that one at all. It's been so long. I remember Michael Showalter, though I can't remember if I'm remembering his character in this or his character in "Better Than Chocolate" when I think about it, I only know that I take notice when people from "The State" show up in anything. And of course, Scott Cohen...and that's about it. I do remember liking it a lot, though. It wouldn't kill me to watch it again. I wanted to see her "Ira and Abby" as well, but never did for some reason.

That's a rhetorical question, right? :shock:
