Stupid, Screwed-Up Friendship: The House & Wilson Thread
So, this is for anything and everything to do with House and Wilson, although it's primarily for discussion about their friendship within the show. And let's face it, there's enough wrong with these two to keep us talking 'till the cows come home.

perspicacious- 08-10-2007

Which is why I'm surprised there's not more discussion here! I have been rewatching some season 1 eppies, and Mob Rules has some fantastic friendshippy moments. The bit where they find the convertible? Priceless. And the ride: "The '66 came with a shut-up button." What are some of YOUR favorite friendshippy moments from the show?

galaxygirl- 08-10-2007

I have an headache so my mind is completely blanking out on me right now. Unfortunately I don't have time to rewatch House at the moment, first finish my Homicide dvd's and then I have this huge craving for some Buffy dvd's. Friendship moments usually make me think of hoyay-tastic moments most of the time. I'm very fond of House erasing the message on his answering machine at the end of (insert title, mind not co-operating), I love the conversation between House and Wilson at the end off DIYD, just before the montage. I can go on and on, but I doubt there is enough room to write them all down lol.

Lully- 08-10-2007

I guess people are talking about H/W in the Hoyay thread and in the H/W shipper thread, so this one is so lonely... I love their season 1 friendship. Specially: the opening scene from DIYD, Histories (all the episode), from Heavy the separate/together conversation, the car scene from Mob Rules, Wilson went to meet House at the bar in Honeymoon... pretty much every scene they had together, really!

galaxygirl- 08-10-2007

Histories is made of so much H/W awesome, I love the end scene so much. I'm one of those who wishes that LLB is brought up again, so we can find out more about Wilson himself that way.

Lully- 08-10-2007

I forgot Babies and Bathwater (unforgivable!), such a wonderful episode. The LLB intrigues me because what would be the point to bring that information and expect the audience would forget about it? And am I supose to beleive that House forgot about him too?

galaxygirl- 08-10-2007

I know, what's the point of bringing it up once and never mention him again. If my best friend manages to hide something that big from me, I would be filled with questions about the whole thing. I sometimes wonder how much LLB affects Wilson's personality, I wonder how he's dealing with it, I'm willing to bet it's easier to deal with death than missing and not knowing anything.

Lully- 08-10-2007

Yes, not to know if someone you love is death or alive is devastating. There's hope, but it's an empty hope. You can't move on, you can't heal the pain. You can do pretty much nothing. But I can see Wilson pretending that everything is fine and he is a rock. What I can not see is a man, curious like House doing nothing.

Jouse- 08-10-2007

Maybe House deducted from Wilson's behaviour it's dangerous territory for their friendship, something that unlike Wilson's love life, is better left untouched. Just speculating here.

Lully- 08-10-2007

But since when House is careful about Wilson sensibility? He stole the Stacy files, because he need to know. Curiosity is a compulsive behavior for him. Maybe he avoid the topic because he's afraid that somehow it could affect Wilson's devotion to him. It's an idea that I don't like very much, because again, it'd be just all about House.

Taiga- 08-11-2007

I like to imagine that House has secretly been looking for LLB since 'Histories'. Since there's been no mention of LLB since and it's inexplicable to me that Tritter wouldn't have found out about him and used him against Wilson, however, I reluctantly believe that TPTB have forgotten about him. perspi asked what our favourite House-Wilson friendship moments are. Mine is the scene in 'Safe' where Wilson tricks Cuddy into letting House take the patient onto the elevator so House can examine her for ticks, and they do the secret headnod thing as House realizes what he's done. Wilson helping House do something unorthodox because he trusts his medical skills so much, House knowing Wilson has his back, those are the boys I love.

Lully- 08-11-2007

At the end of Histories I thought that House would try and find some information about the LLB too. Maybe he could hire a PI or something (we wouldn't need to see this happen, we could just have some hints). But then they started with the "arcs": Vogler, Stacy, Tritter, even the supid Cameron's crush took precedence and a much more interesting development (IMO) didn't happen. I just hope that one day they'll remember about LLB. But I'm not be surprised if they won't.

RNwannabe- 08-11-2007

Wilson helping House do something unorthodox because he trusts his medical skills so much, House knowing Wilson has his back, those are the boys I love. Oh, yes. That scene ratcheted up my love for them another notch. I like the way you put it Taiga, about Wilson only doing the unorthodox thing because he trusts House so much.

sautomne- 08-11-2007

I sometimes wonder how much LLB affects Wilson's personality Hmm...I'm sorely tempted to give LLB his own thread just so I could name it 'That's Relevant: The Long Lost Wilson Brother.' I mean, the WNJWWHPB has his own thread and we've never seen him. But I'll control myself. One imaginary character thread is enough.

DIY Sheep- 08-14-2007

I have been thinking - in relation to ff mostly - exactly what House and Wilson's relationship is and how peoples perceptions of it have changed over the seasons. Of course I'm not really coherent right now, but what are peoples' opinions of the relationship when they write ff. I've seen them as 1000th Man types, as naughty schoolboys, as very separate and self determinate individuals. The problem is with every episode their relationship dynamic changes. I think this is okay for this thread because it is more about opinions of H/W rather than ff.
