I totally loved Kristy telling Simon that he said she wouldn't go further than top 10. Kristy wasn't the worst by far last night. Melinda sat down, Taylor refused to pick, Bo refused to pick and George from season 3 picked the wrong group *hehe*

I think that asking the contestants to pick is kind of mean-spirited. How do you face your friend who was in the bottom three if you picked the other group and were right? I loved it when David Cook went and sat down by David A. I wonder what was going on with David Cook this week that made him so emotional? I'm sure the ones put with David Cook thought they were safe and the ones on the other side thought they were the bottom three. That "too many Cooks in the kitchen" remark probably came as a shock. And was it a clue that Kristy Lee was going home? I actually thought she was better than Brooke and Syesha last night. I think she'll probably get a contract and do well in country music. Kellie Pickler is doing pretty well.

I wonder what was going on with David Cook this week that made him so emotional? Having his terminally ill brother in the audience made him so emotional.

The studio version of "Always Be My Baby" is incredible! I liked the live version of Billie Jean better than the studio, but I like the studio of this one just as much as the live!

Am I the only one who's a wee bit worried about ALW week? From the interviews I've read with ALW the last few days, he sounds like a giganormous asswipe, who doesn't like his babies being abused by people. Also, most of his songs are either too long and hard to narrow down to a 2 minute song, or they are part of the story of the musical and might turn people off because they don;t get the context of the songs. Mommy, I'm scared.

radiosweetheart- 04-22-2008

The shorter some of the songs from Cats & Phantom are, the better, IMO. If they didn't exist at all that would be a plus. But I will be a little cranky if someone messes with Jesus Christ Superstar. but seriously folks-ALW does seem like someone I wouldn't want in my kitchen. Does anyone have any spoilers on song choice? My Google-fu is failing me.

galaxygirl- 04-22-2008

You want to keep an eye out on TMZ, they have been right about song choice every week. edited to add song choices, will spoiler font, in case some people don't want to know. I'm still worried... -->Syesha: One Rock & Roll Too Many (Starlight Express) David C: Music of the Night (Phantom) Carly: Jesus Christ Superstar (JCS) Brooke: You Must Love Me (Evita) Jason: Memory (Cats) David A: Think of Me (Phantom) <----

There's a David Cook album called Analog Heart that you can download from amazon.com. I bought it this weekend.

galaxygirl- 04-22-2008

Looks like you were right on time, it been pulled from Amazon. Rumor has it that AI is behind it, but that doesn't explain why Carly's, Kristy's and Brooke's albums are still available there. I think it had more to do with him outselling everyone on Amazon. Oh, and FauxNews ran this story about it. The article is wrong on many fact and it's writer is a buddy of recently 'demoted' Clive Davis btw. As I've posted elsewhere, I'm hoping that they have a chandelier and that it falls on Randy during one of the Phantom songs.

I'm surprised it took them this long to pull the records. They do it every year, but usually they do it early on. The rest will probably be gone by week's end...at least legally. As for tonight's song choices...predictable, but random. Like, the songs themselves are obvious, but I thought they'd go to different people. I wish someone had done *something* out of left field. I'd give anything to hear Brooke go all bitter and sing "Take That Look Off Your Face" while scowling. Then again, that's probably more suited to KLC. She should have stuck around one more week.

galaxygirl- 04-22-2008

KLC said in her exit interview that she was going to perform 'Don't Cry For Me Argentina'. I'm not sure about that song choice, so it might be for the best that she's gone. I was hoping that Cookie would go for 'Sunset Boulevard' or 'Oh, What a Circus'.

David Cook sounded fantastic. I didn't miss the "other" side of him. I quite enjoyed this performance for what it was. I thought Syesha was great--I'd go see her if she were headlining a production. I'm going to shamelessly admit that I LOVE the song "Memory." I didn't think Jason was that bad. But it's one of those songs that if you don't sing the hell out of it, you might as well not even attempt it. Bottom three: Carly, Brooke, and Jason. ETA: David A bored me as always. Nice kid. Nice voice. No pizazz.

galaxygirl- 04-22-2008

I didn't hate Carly as much as I usually do. Bottom two, without a doubt were Brooke and Jason, I fear Jason might be leaving. Syesha was fun, I still don't get Archie and Cook totally pulled it off.

radiosweetheart- 04-22-2008

Le sigh. Guess I'll have to catch these tomorrow at work. Had to catch up on the Daily Show/Colbert Report eps that I missed yesterday. Who should I skip? And (other than Jason and Cookie, natch) who should I definitely check out? Define my lunch hour YouTube viewing! I'm counting on you!

galaxygirl- 04-22-2008

If you like Jason, you might want to skip him, Brooke was a total trainwreck.
