I didn't know David Cook had a brother who had cancer. :(
If you haven't read any of the articles about his trip to the hospital, they said he got bad news about his brother. I don't know if that's true or not. I just saw a little bit at work today, but I can't do too much random surfing at work.

That's the general gist per the infotainment shows. The basic story being reported at this point is that his brother has recently had a "set back" and he'd gotten himself pretty stressed out about it. They drove him to the hospital after the show (no ambulance, just a private car) and his blood pressure was sky high. Heart palpitations, too. If TMZ is to be believed, it started after his performance, but he didn't want to leave so he stuck it out until right after the show. At Cedars they gave him some medication and sent him home with an appointment to follow up.
Not nearly as serious as heart palpitations, obviously, but TMZ also says Ryan ran smack into a rail during a commercial break and screwed up his knee. The episode is still in the tivo and now I think I need to go ffwd through it to see if you can tell David wasn't feeling well and Ryan was recovering from a klutz moment.

Yeah, he's been battling it since 1998, he beat it but it came back about 2 years ago :( It's what the AC on David's guitar stands for: Adam Cook.

Boy howdy-Now I remember why I don't watch the first 2/3 of the results shows. This is sucktageous.
Alls I want is for Dolly to sing a few songs and for someone to get sent home (long as it's not any of my boys--any of the girls can go and I won't shed a tear). Why are they forcing me* to watch this craptacular crap from crap ville?
*Yes, forcing. I'm tied to this chair-only my hands free for typing.
Ummm...are all the 'hood 'hoops players in the Ford Pimp of the African American persuasion? Or am I drunk? Again.
ETA: Where the feck in Nashville are they? Sure as hell no part of Nashville I know. Bet the lot of 'em are in Hendersonville. Hendersonville ain't Nashville, yo.

Just wait until next week's Idols Gives Back extravaganza. We ff'd through it last year.

Now-why didn't someone tell Ramiele her kitten had been kidnapped by vicious ne'er do wells and that her hair stylist was down with the flu or something? Trauma seems to help her, she almost got the emotion right just now.
I liked Idol Gives Back. I laughed, I cried, I donated. I'm lame.

She was definitely better tonight than last night. I'm shocked that Syesha wasn't in the bottom three. She's usually last in the online polls I've seen--even lower than Kristy Lee. Speaking of, I think "Kristy Lee, you are safe" is the tagline for this season.

Initially I thought so, but I think they slipped a white guy in there to keep it from being completely racist. And then let a couple of girls dunk baskets to keep it from being just as sexist. I'm a big fan of the slo-mo walk off, though. {g}

Me too and I don't really give a shit. I thought they did a good job with it and it's the kind of thing I had really been wondering why American television stopped doing in the first place. And then, boom, I wonder and not only do they do it, but they bring Comic Relief back too. My only gripe is that the corporations were a little stingy in their "please let the world know that we're not actually raping the environment and taking advantage of everyone around us" money. And I'd like to think that the constant "last year we raised..." from Seacrest isn't so much to bully viewers into giving more but to bully big business into giving more.

To be honest, in spite of the fact that i still want her gone, I'm enjoying this new "I don't give a shit" KLC. I halfway expect her to show up next week drunk, smoking a cigarette and telling everybody to go fuck themselves. I'd vote for her...

Rami goes bye, bye. Excessive pouting is not attractive on anyone over the age of 2. I'm predicting that KLC is going next week, Syesha the week after that.
Cookie and Aussie rooming together is a match made in slash heaven.

What are the judges smoking? Jason's version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow was awful! Of course, I haven't had the opportunity to hear it three times like Simon. First time around... horrendous.
galaxygirl- 04-08-2008
I have been disagreeing with the judges on all of them.

Me too for the most part. I thought Syesha gave her best performance so far. None of them have really blown me away tonight though.
galaxygirl- 04-08-2008
Archie is on my shitlist for singing Robbie's song. No one sings it like Robbie.
I really really hated Carly tonight. HATED.
extra_cat- 04-08-2008
I've never heard that song before.
I am BORED TO TEARS tonight. I hope Idol Gives Back is more exciting than this.
galaxygirl- 04-08-2008
It's terrible. It's such a boring night. Nothing really outstanding. I might actually think that KLC was the best, that has to be a sign of the apocalypse.
I'm not planning to watch Idol gives back, not my thing.
