She's Scarier Than You Are: Chase/Cuddy

I could go for some Chuddy, aside from the fact that it would make the show seem incestuous somehow. :off topic: Of course I'm delusional because I wanted Harry/Hermione together. I LOATHE Ron/Hermione and Harry/Ginny. Absolutely LOATHE those couplings. Possibly even more than House/Cameron. I hate Ginny even more than I hate Cameron and Foreman at their combined worst.

I don't actually think Cuddy and Chase have gotten any screentime together, other than when it's Cuddy and House and the Ducklings.

Which is why it's so hard for me to believe that Chuddy is even possible. I mean, yes they'd make pretty babies, but they should at least meet up with eachother first! And off screen, some really important stuff - we know he went to her privately before Forever to arrange his NICU rotation & she was prepared to lie to House for him. Something intense going on there behind closed doors! /fanwank - and of course the reason why she beat up Cameron about sleeping with Chase was because she wants him herself ;D (and a lot less incestuous than H/Cam - less than 10 years difference in the ages, Cuddy's 39? Chase 30? ish)

If we can fanwank, I think she should have tended to his boo boo after House punched him. The missing scene: Cuddy: Thanks for coming to see me. Chase: I'm not going to file a complaint. Cuddy: You're a bigger man than he is. Chase: (silence) Cuddy: You saved all our asses with that diagnosis. Chase: (silence) Cuddy: We're lucky to have you. Chase: (unsure how to handle an actual compliment) Cuddy: Come here. Let me see. Chase: (obeys, what he does best) Cuddy: Let me make it better........

I actually find Chase/Older Female Character really interesting (although, yes, slightly incesty). I've read some truly excellent Chase/Cuddy, Chase/Stacy, and Chase/OFC, all of which dealt with the fact that Chase's ISSUES had something to do with the relationship. But, sadly, Canon-wise, I don't think that Cuddy thinks much of or about Chase. The writing for Chase is actually sort of interesting in that he has minimal on-screen contact with Wilson and Cuddy. (Cameron and Foreman are a lot more vocal and thus make themselves more visible.) I don't think that Cuddy has much respect for Chase and I don't think that she has ever paid attention to him except when attention has been brought to him in some way (e.g. HE, Mistake). So, yeah, Chase/Cuddy requires some sort of intermediate step where Cuddy would have to realize that he is not in House's shadow anymore (and also, how had she never noticed how *pretty* he was?). I think their personalities are definitely compatible. (And on the shallow end, Cuddy's Smoking Hotness with Chase's exceptional Man-Beauty is just, um...*fans self*)

Oh, Simply Myself, ITA. I actually have the tiniest notion in my head that it would be a good idea for the two of them to have a one night stand and end up with the prettiest baby evaaarr. I mean, the Cuddy baby arc is basically dependant on Lisa Edlestein's RL situation and if the show must do spawn, it might as well do super pretty spawn to feed the shallow, shallow blackhole that is my inner fangirl. That aside, Chase and Cuddy also just hapen to be the two people that I would hate for TPTB to end the series with alone. They've been alone. I want them to be happy. I'm actually pretty open to however they do it.

I'm still hesitant to wish for them to get together on the show because that's too much of everyone-sleeping-with-everyone-else. But say if Cam dumped Chase for a one night stand with House, I suppose seeing Cuddy pick up the pieces would be better than seeing 13 pick up the pieces.

Obviously the moment that Cam knows that 13 is dying and alone, she would have to do something! Because, you know, when a good person is dying someone must care! She would dump Chase because of 13 and then they would go to some place, faraway from Princeton, to be happy together! Poor Chase would be devastated and Cuddy's maternal instincts would kick in. They would have gorgeous babies and live happy ever after - as long as House never suspected! Yeah, I'm delusional... :roll:

Yeah, this is DEFINITELY the Ship of Pretty Babies. I guess it would be a little more interesting if Chase dumped Cameron because, who would see THAT coming? I think if I were Cuddy and I was looking for a Baby Daddy, I'd zoom right in on Chase. I had an idea for such a fan fic, but haven't gotten around to writing it.
