Rules and Such [ALL MEMBERS MUST READ]
Hey there, Whiners. If you don't know who I am yet, I'm your webmaster and one of the administrators here. I hope you guys are all enjoying this place - we're doing our best. Well, this forum has been open for about 6 months and everything is coming along pretty smoothly, if I do say so myself. I honestly can't believe we've got over 500 MEMBERS and almost 48000 POSTS. Seriously. You guys rule. Anyway, as well as this appears to be going, there are a few things that I need you all to know: All members should read through the RULES, GUIDELINES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS section. Over the past few months, it's become obvious that not everyone reads them - it is necessary that you do so. The most important posts, that you all must read are: The Important Junk Frequently Asked Questions Spoiler Policy Like I said, all members must read. It's pretty simple, but make sure you know it. The second point I have to address here is extremely important. I am aware of the fact that there is a lot of board-bashing going around. For a while now I've let it go on without a word, but I think that really, this should be stopped. Unfortunately, I've decided that on House's House of Whining, the only board you are allowed to bash is this one. From here on out, there should be no attacks on any other online community under any circumstances. This isn't to say that you can't talk about other boards, but serious attacks are not acceptable. My reasoning here is that it is a very slippery slope from attacking a board to personal attacks, which is most definitely against the rules. I honestly don't want to try and stifle or censor members, I just don't want to let this board become overrun with negativity and bitterness. Sunshine and rainbows is what we're all about  In the words of the immortal radiosweetheart, "This is a new day and a new gathering place. Let's shed our old frustrations, drop the past and move on. Talking about things doesn't make them better. Doesn't change anything. It just keeps the wound open and liable to become infected." Read it, learn it, accept it. Lastly, for your ease I'm going to list the wonderful and friendly moderators here. You should really know that anyone with the rank 'Dean of Medicine' or 'Department Head' is a mod, but I'm making a list anyway 8) Administrators 407 fffaw Poeia Moderators Hail the Random galaxygirl sautomne radiosweetheart arizonamyrie extra_cat Beware.
