I don't want to accuse anyone of being paranoid. Just that there's, from what I can tell, so little to go on with the little comment about Thirteen being mysterious to assume a ship is on the horizon. If other people see a pattern, I guess they would be expecting it. I'm just happily blind to any of it.

I'm just happily blind to any of it. Its a healthy attitude! Teach me

I don't want to accuse anyone of being paranoid. Just that there's, from what I can tell, so little to go on with the little comment about Thirteen being mysterious to assume a ship is on the horizon. If other people see a pattern, I guess they would be expecting it. I'm just happily blind to any of it. Well, I'm blind to it as well and not in the "I'm turning a blind eye on it" sense, either. Everything doesn't equal ship. Frankly, even though I saw the clear House/Cameron from the beginning of the series (where they set it up) I find it very difficult to see much of the House/Cameron that is evidently present to some folks on both the pro and con side. In fact, it's very much like the far left and the far right, I guess: the people who want it the most and dread it the most see it far more than the folks in the middle who accept it's existence, but don't think that it is present 100% of the time. Every female that's written on the show, every female that House is intrigued by and every female that manages to become his equal in some way isn't written as someone who wants to have sex with House. At this point, how many women *have* wanted to have sex with House (for free and without the aid of disease)? Three? Stacy gets "longtime, true love" status, Cuddy gets the "longtime friend with complicated backstory" status and Cameron gets the "girl with questionable crush" status. Beyond that, I don't really see the "every woman House meets wants him" conspiracy that others do. Just because he flirts and they flirt back or there is chemistry or they're set up as equal to him in some way doesn't equal them wanting to rip each others' clothes off, no matter what Michael Ausiello might try to imply. Honey was a flirty girl who thought she was applying for a job. Poor, stupid Alli could even be seen as kind of an in joke about that argument. She didn't want House, she was sick. I'm at a loss for any other potential House sex partners at the moment. On the flipside, though, I also don't get the argument that there's no way all of these women (whether they exist or not) want House. I mean...why not? He's handsome, charismatic, smart, funny, in a position of power, a little dangerous...he's a good time to a lot of people even if he's not husband material. Given the number of fans of this show who'd fuck him in a second if he was real (and who go into sometimes unnecessarily graphic detail about such things on their livejournals), I'm usually lost when it comes to the argument that it's unlikely that too many women out there want him. They probably wouldn't want him forever because he's a gigantic pain in the ass, but short term he's intriguing. I have no idea if CIA doctor is going to be the recipient of House's flirting or if she's even going to have any potential to return (given that she's being played by the model doctor, I vote a great big "no" on that one), but Ausiello saying it makes me pretty much believe the opposite. Ditto on anything that he or Kristin might say about Thirteen. Honestly, even though I have no problem believing that OW said what Kristin says she did, exactly as Kristin says she did, I'm still skeptical about anything she (Kristin) reports. For someone who is paid to watch and (allegedly) be critical of television, she seems to be a very literal person.

Okay, basically everything that amysusanne just said is why I don't see ship. Plus, I really define ship as two people having romantic feelings for each other or at least want to pursue a relationship. So someone finding House intriguing or even finding him sexy isn't ship to me. Or, vice versa.

New promo pics be here http://community.livejournal.com/house_daily/217265.html for ep 2 (psst, Chase!)

407- 09-26-2007

Chase with facial hair. And looking quite yummy, if I do say so myself. Pity there's no Wilson. Always an ominous sign...

407- 09-26-2007

Ok, Wilson in the newest episode clip? Unbelievably adorable. I want to hug him plz.

Ranee- 09-26-2007

Pity there's no Wilson. Always an ominous sign... I wouldn't worry about that too much, there have always been episodes were characters had a large role that wasn't reflected in the promo shots. What's interesting is what they chose to emphasize - & Chase really doesn't look happy. I love the scruff (hah! mini-House) & that looks like House assisting Taub? (the Peter Jacobsen character) & possibly Mason in the surgery setting. We know from the spoilers that this is the ep with Wilson pplaying head games about House's possible hallucinations of CCF, so even if its only a few scenes, they are likely to be a lot of fun (remember, this is the Doris Egan ep!!). And where are the Chasers, btw?

saara_zaara- 09-26-2007

Very, very yummy! marykir, thanks for the links & yes, that video of JS, JMo & OE was up last week & then disappeared. Nice its back, I know some folks missed seeing it before it got taken down.

407- 09-26-2007

Oh, wow - this is the Doris Egan episode. Damn, I totally forgot. Also gotta say that I'm still looking forward to the n00bs - what with the clip of them doing a hallway!DDX and House's strange Bunsen burner ceremony, I have a feeling that this should be good. Don't forget that the first three scripts have also been pimped out to be some of the best in House history. Considering my love for Alone, this seems good... And the Chasers should totally be going mad. Although I hear that CCF don't appear all that much in the next ep at all. At least we know that Chase has, at least, lines in episode 3 (what with his confrontation with House)... Still...

extra_cat- 09-26-2007

And where are the Chasers, btw? Working for a living! LOL I'm SOOOOOO HAPPY to see Chase in the preview pictures. That makes my day. I know it doesn't necessarily mean he has a significant part, but at least they're throwing us a bone.

merlin7- 09-26-2007

As a Chaser, other than YAY CHASE looks cool in the spoiler pic, there's really nothing to get excited about. Does he even have lines in ep 2? I don't think so. I feel the way Wilson fans feel about him barely being in an ep. Disappointed. Ten seconds of Chase isn't anything to squee about. Not when the rest of the ep is scene after scene of newbies I already hate and have zero interest in. Don't forget that the first three scripts have also been pimped out to be some of the best in House history. Considering my love for Alone, this seems good... Have to say, for me, the first 3 eps are probably the worst ever. Right up there with ODOR. The first I didn't even watch. Maybe, by the end of the year, there will be an ep I can squee over like you guys. Twould be nice. Course, won't hold my breath.

I know it doesn't necessarily mean he has a significant part, but at least they're throwing us a bone. It does the opposite to me. It's like an IN YOUR FACE that we'll be teased with a glimpse of Chase before suffering the stinking newbies. So...yeah. Doesn't make me happy. I don't want a bone. I want meat. ::pouts::

Ranee- 09-26-2007

Does he even have lines in ep 2? I don't think so. He does & he also has a last minute assist to House in a proceedure in place of the candidates, its on the spoilers thread. There's also an implication House asks Chase to come back after this & he indicates no.
