OW's job is to make assholes like Kristin pay attention to the show That's a really good way to put it. Perhaps Thirteen did not actually finish medical school but is a skilled medical practitioner all the same, would House keep her on in that case? IIRC that's the newbie character Carmen Argenziano plays (Henry Dobson) & House keeps him around as his assistant at least through part of the arc after he finds out. ETA - a particularly funny review of the end of s3 & preview of s4, which even brings in some Holmes/Watson parallels. http://www.popmatters.com/pm/tv/reviews/48955/house/ by a reviewer of the opinion that bringing back CCF is a creative cop-out & some suitably snarky comments about the newbies "numbers 13 (Olivia Wilde), 6 (Kal Penn), 26 (Carmen Argenziano as a man with a secret), 39 (Peter Jacobson playing Steve Carrell doing a plastic surgeon), and 24 (Anne Dudek as a Cameron who’s read Il Principe and knows exactly where to stick a knife). My money’s on Number 24 taking out the original Cameron before the fourth episode, but that may just be wishful thinking."

oh she has a secret, what is this, Lost?

saara_zaara- 09-25-2007

Meh, everyone's got a secret, Henry, Amber, 13, that should be the new tee-shirt slogan.

extra_cat- 09-25-2007

Hmmm... mysterious woman. Oh great, another ship is on the horizon. I sure wish I could have some enthusiasm about the show returning tonight. Eight to nine episodes of newbies sounds like torture.

My money’s on Number 24 taking out the original Cameron before the fourth episode, but that may just be wishful thinking." *Joins in wishful thinking* What? If they're going to be there, they might as well make themselves useful...well useful to me, it is afterall all about me.

by a reviewer of the opinion that bringing back CCF is a creative cop-out & some suitably snarky comments about the newbies Pfft. I don't trust the opinion of anybody who believes that Chase has "limp hair". :P

Bessie Mae- 09-25-2007

Why does mysterious woman equal ship? But, I'm coming from the perspective of someone who doesn't see half (more like any) of the ships that people see on the show.

houserocket7- 09-25-2007

Anyway, the whole "Thirteen has a big secret" thing - anyone else find it leaves them cold? I mean, if its something stupid (Tritter's lovechild, House's daughter) DS is really going to get mocked or its going to turn out to be nothing. Maybe she has a kid. IDK. Maybe she is a kid. Maybe she is 13, really

Hail the Random- 09-25-2007

Are you mocking 13-year-olds? ;)

vitawash99- 09-25-2007

Pfft. I don't trust the opinion of anybody who believes that Chase has "limp hair". Hilariously, in my head, the opposite of "limp hair" is like, Flock of Seagulls hair, which is quite the image to have floating through one's mind.

extra_cat- 09-25-2007

Why does mysterious woman equal ship? Because history shows us that they seem to think that no woman can refuse House's, er, charm.

saara_zaara- 09-25-2007

Because history shows us that DS is incapable of writing a female character on this show who isn't somehow mysterious or intriguing or interesting to House. IMO the only time they really pulled it off was with Anika. Okay, so...Thirteen is gay (that would be different), has a kid, PDH's baby sister, Wilson's lost brother's daughter....come on, people, work with me here!!

bailey- 09-25-2007

Okay, so...Thirteen is gay (that would be different), has a kid, PDH's baby sister, Wilson's lost brother's daughter....come on, people, work with me here!! Ummm...all of the above? She's Wilson's brother's daughter, Wilson's brother having been, ironically enough, Cameron's PDH. Except Wilson doesn't know that long lost = dead but briefly married to Cameron. And she's gay. 13 that is, not Cameron.

Bessie Mae- 09-25-2007

I guess it's in the definition. Intriguing or interesting to House doesn't equal ship in my book. I haven't seen the ships that other people see, so the history isn't there for me. Other people might (and obviously do) but there's no precedence for me to make me assume that they're trying to ship Thirteen.

saara_zaara- 09-25-2007

You're right, Bessie Mae, we unfortunately are all being really paranoid about it.
