I think what this episode will serve to illustrate is that while House may find a person to fill the Wilson-hole who on the surface would actually be a better fit for House -- just as curious, just as musical, just as socially awkward -- there still won't be that click, that chemistry that makes H/W so awesome. So, even if Wilson isn't in the episode, it will do amazing things towards solidifying the H/W love.

That is a great point Chipper and I think what they will be going after. The PI and House will be surface and don't forget the guy is still getting paid to be there. For H/W that element of opposites attract is a vital presence to them both. They compliment rather than replicate each other while still sharing some similar if not obvious traits.

I just had a thought (forgive me if I'm slow) HL and RSL are supposed to be on the TV Guide cover in Oct. right? Will that be right around the time of their big reunion? Because we have that three week break with no episodes? Interesting, you're probably right, either you click with someone or you don't and since he's only around for three episodes, I'm guessing they don't, at least not to the extent that House and Wilson do, but I still don't think I can watch it. A duet with House? Sitting on the couch with him? WILSON SHOULD BE THERE INSTEAD. (OK, it's not canon that Wilson plays music but RSL knows enough to strum a guitar so the possibility was there!) Yes, I'd always hoped that they'd make it canon that Wilson plays guitar too so we could get sexy duets with House. But my feeling now is that if we're seeing duets with the PI but never did with Wilson, then Wilson can't play. Which means no sexy duets in future. That makes me sad. Maybe House can teach Wilson to play guitar.

Another thought on the PI, we've often said it would be interesting to see House or Wilson try to have another male friend, so here it is and I think the point is going to be that it's as difficult as it looks to accomplish that. I really hope you are right but it does feel wrong to look at those pictures and see the PI instead of Wilson. Although in a weird way the fact that the PI is at the piano somehow "hurts" less that having the PI in House's kitchen (as that feels more like Wilson's domain). But Ouch! on sharing the couch with the PI. We really need official word on whether RSL is on Ep3 or not, so I can wait until November to watch it and only have to get down the first two. Wilson's family: If we are going with the fanon that Wilson is the middle child, I am on board with Peter Gallagher as LLB, nonmissing I am still thinking about it. Since we are making fanon real, I totally want NMB to be like "Peter" not "Jonathan" and as for LLB probably more a "David" than a "Michael. In the name of research I am spending part of my holiday weekend reading WilsonFamily fics ':P'

My vote for Wilson's LLB is Scott Bakula. I think his looks would make him a passable Wilson but, more importantly, he's as good of an actor as you'll ever find.

I'm a huge Scott Backula fan but I still think there is too big of an age gap (14 years). But maybe. If this is the brother still around it could be a factor in them not being close. If it's the LLB it could be why it was possible for Wilson to never mention him. ETA, I guess any further musings on this might belong in Wilson's thread. We're just speculating. BUT I like your spec LMC and never say never.

This actor certainly resemble's RSL but he also looks at least 10 years younger so he would have been almost a child when he vanished 13 years ago. Re. Peter Gallagher he's quite a bit older (14 years) not impossible to be but still I think we want more than just similar looks and thick eyebrows if we ever get either of Wilson's brothers. My solution to the age thing is Ethan Hawke. Sorry, that is my dream casting, no matter how nonexistent the chances of it happening are. But Ouch! on sharing the couch with the PI. I know. When House and Wilson make up, I need Wilson to be at House's apartment very soon so I can feel like it is rid of PI germs.
