PS What's a B-Roll and why are they suddenly (to me) showing up for different shows?
It's just secondary footage of scenes. It's frequently used on electronic press kits that are given out to the media. I would assume that they have done one for "House" every year, but they just haven't made it into the fandom. I haven't seen them, at least, but I've seen them for other shows on the network. "House" and FOX seem very good at keeping stuff related to this show out of our hands. {g} That's where entertainment shows get most of their little behind the scenes stuff that they use in little packages about the show. All of these interviews and scenes are for that kind of thing.
And yeah...I assume that that's the same diner. Looks like it and both shows film on that same lot.

Houserocket7 - I moved your post from the B-roll thread you started and it's a bit upthread here. I had left a note in the B-roll thread telling you this, but one of the other mods erroneously erased it. Sorry about that.
Here's something on B-roll for your reading pleasure. :-)

There is one reason why Wilson would be relaxed instead of anxious this season...Last season House had just been shot...Remember? I know, TPTB didn't remember, but it would explain why Wilson made some weird moves there for a while. I would be slightly freaked if my best friend/boyfriend/whatever had been shot and in a coma only a couple of weeks before. I'be overprotective, just like Wilson. Now however, there's not really much going on except for the Ducklings leaving, which is minor compared to the mess in the 2nd season finale/3rd season premiere. I could totally understand Wilson's reaction, because they've been through worse.
vitawash99- 09-15-2007
Good point - it's a change, but it's not a crisis. He's not trying to snap House out of a long slog, he's heading off any downward slide at the pass.
LightMyCandle- 09-15-2007
I didn't consider that, it's a good point. The levels of stress on Wilson between House being shot and House losing his team would be very different. That could factor into it. The S2 finale was literally House's life at stake, the S3 finale probably seems a little more managable. Plus, Wilson was there when Stacy left, which I'm sure had to have been worse than this, based on everything, it does make sense that Wilson would take a more relaxed role in the situation.

I am the first to admit that I suck at math, but in looking at the classroom clip, I don't get how many will be hired.....
House says something like, "at the end of 6 weeks, one of you will be gone as will 28 more."
If he started with 40, that would leave 11, right?
Maybe I'm being too literal when they say he hired 40....
saara_zaara- 09-16-2007
Yeah, houserocket7, my head hurts when I try to do the math. It wouldn't surprise me if he starts with 40, but IIRC he then fires the entire back row right off the bat, & that's when this clip occurs, plus then he picks up stray candidates along the way. But who really knows!!
I wonder if Wilson is more laid back & its (partly?) because he's still on the ADs. BTW, marykir posted last nights promo from the House marathon last night, I saw this during the shows & there's a shot of House breaking a window. It looks like that might be how he gets into Wilson's room.
Jouse- 09-16-2007
How did he climb up there? doesn't it make more sense that it's the B&E to the POTW's place?
saara_zaara- 09-16-2007
Jouse, you may well be right, he's not wearing the leather jacket & it looks like its light (not night) behind him.
That said, I'm not sure why breaking a window would be needed for the PotW, he can usually break-in the front door or has a key. Wilson on the other hand, how's he going to get past the electronic system of the room door? Window seems more likely, particularly if there's fire escape handy. I may, of course, be completely wrong!!

Well, why does it not surprise me that shipping is the focus of Ausiello's interview? Though what DS says doesn't really surprise me.
nomad1328- 09-18-2007
there does seem to be a trend there... but then again, a lot of fanshipping goes on too. Hmm... And 3somes? Geesh.
Everyone should go look at the tv guide article mentioned in the spoiler thread. Hugh is hilarious. Seriously. No really. I feel like buying the hardcopy and posting it all over my walls like a teenage fangirl.

*groans in pain*
Watching KJ talk about House is like watching a very bad babysitter with my unexisting kid. And DS seems totally wipped :(
"Yes yes yes" Huddy, not given up on Hameron.. :? Excuse me while I'm jumping out the window.
fffaw- 09-18-2007
I love how Ausiello was completely and utterly wrong "House is going to win best drama. Trust me"
Erm, not so much. Just goes to show how shit he is. ;-)
Perhaps KJ & DS were being charmingly patronizing? I mean all the gushing about "Oh Ausiello, you know so much you must be in the writers room" is kinda hilarious considering how off base he usually is on stuff.
As for the shipping parts, oh well. Threesomes gives me hope though. Perhaps that will give me the OT3 experience (H/Cu/W) I've wanted. (Also could imply a BGW theme). Who knows? I'm looking forward to finding out.
LightMyCandle- 09-18-2007
I don't mind them harping on about Huddy but why can't they just shut up about HAM? We get it, you're not giving up, it's still a possibility, you're not saying no, blah, blah, bla, sing me a new Hamless one please.
Ausiello is such a tool. Maybe if people would stop humoring him he'd go away.
extra_cat- 09-18-2007
That interview made me ill. Does Ausiello's ego really need any stroking? Could the three of them have been any more fake?
