Congrats on the new job! The biggest question a lot of us have is when will Chase--er, I mean, the Ducklings--come back? So if you get wind of that, please put us out of our misery. Contrary to what David Shore might believe some of us are not watching for just House or just House, Wilson, and Cuddy. I get a bad feeling that I'm going to hate Huddy almost as much as Ham a month into the new season. I don't have the answer for that, sorry. They're def. not in the first episode, but everyone already knows that. No signs of Huddy either, so you can sleep peacefully. Thanks on the congrats for the job. The people I'm dealing with are not to be believed! Cannot believe people like this actually exist! Hilarious!

Is the B&E entertaining at all? I'm hanging a lot of hopes on this ep. on House and Wilson going to the B&E.

My two cents: At first I was kind of bummed out when I realised I'd read such detailed spoilers, but I figure it's still just words on a screen. The way those words are performed matters a lot, especially when it comes to HoYay. I saw a little clip from the ep and it completely confirmed this. I'm still definitely looking forward to the new season. I like that they're willing to do something brave that might lose them viewers. (Btw, what was that clip everyone was talking about? I'm both a House and a TWW fan, so I'd love to see it)

Thanks for the clip Lully! I was really curious and had no idea how to go about finding it. The clip itself was a bit underwhelming though...How a person can take two great things and come up with something lame, I don't know.

If this has been posted already, sorry - I've been working 12 hour shifts and my brain hurts  But, at the Site That Shall Not Be Named, the poster who brought the original detailed spoilers for Alone has included a few other tidbits. The most interesting one, to me, is that the 'kidnapping game' between House and Wilson has a bit of a mean edge to it, rather than a playful one, but that's apparently mostly due to House not having fun like Wilson expected him to. That's also reflected in one of the clips.

That's also reflected in one of the clips. It's almost as if they've changed roles since the Odd Couple arc. House pulled the prank war on Wilson to get him to admit his marriage was over and he needed to move on. Wilson certainly wasn't having fun in the beginning. Wilson is giving House a taste of his own medicine to get him to admit his team is gone and he has to move on. He's trying to get House to react, fight back, make something happen (I think Wilson is thinking about House's depression here too). Of course House is the type of guy who can dish it out and not take it. But the fact that he's giving up so easily shows how this is affecting him. YMMV.

I'm actually not very surprised that House wouldn't have as much fun with this as, say, the old prank war. Not because he's the "victim" per se, but because there are few things that House seems to take real pleasure from and music is one of those things. I'm not surprised that he would take it more seriously than something less significant to him. Not to mention that the guitar in question is, according to Wilson, $12,000. That's an expensive guitar. I wouldn't take its kidnapping lightly either.

House might destroy a $12K object of Wilson's, but Wilson would never do something like that. Based on one clip, in particular, it is clearly being played for fun. PS how do I put spoiler bars?

shutterbug12- 09-14-2007

Yeah, but House knows that Wilson has it, so he knows it is safe. Ah, very true.

LightMyCandle- 09-14-2007

I kind of like the role reversal scenerio. I'm glad that Wilson's trying a tactic that House once tried on him, even if it doesn't work, I'm glad he's taking this approach as opposed to something like that nasty incident last year. I don't expect any lasting damage from this. Doesn't Wilson even say in the last clip that he thought it would be fun? To me, that implies that he eventually gets that House just isn't in the mood and backs off. Some people on other sites have been complaining that Wilson is just back to manipulating House but I don't see it that way. It's not as if House doesn't know exactly what Wilson's doing and Wilson wants him to know what he's doing. I think that Wilson's just trying to have fun with House, it doesn't work, but I still give him points for trying it this way as opposed to...other things he's tried in the past that weren't quite so playful.

Jouse- 09-14-2007

There are other ways to have fun  I wonder how House gets his guitar back.

LightMyCandle- 09-14-2007

I just want to say about the new thing in the spoiler thread...THANK GOD HE'S NOT HALLUCINATING!!! I really can't stand those bizarre dreaming/hallucinating episodes.

Ranee- 09-14-2007

ITA, LightMyCandle - fyi, for all, from the la-*test*-('") tvguide issue, "House thinks his mind is playing tricks when he begins seeing his former collegues around the hospital. It turns out Cameron has been re-assigned to the ER and Chase now works in surgery." So technically he's not hallucinating, just thinks he is, which actually, knowing House, is a very logical leap  I just realized that Peter Blake who wrote this ep, also wrote Safe & the prank war previously (sorry, me dumb). So House can dish it, but not take it? Apart from the cost of the guitar, I know musicians get very attached to their instruments, so presumably that's part of what's making House cranky, even though the guitar is pretty new. And I suppose we're to take that part of why House is cranky is also that he's missing his team, & not just the bodies, but the specific people.
