Sorry, I didn't mean to make anyone's head hurt and I was exaggerating when I said I couldn't tell them apart. All I meant was that OW's general look really mirror's Cameron's in S1, to me at least. And from the admittedly little we've heard about 13 she sounds like Cameron, again to me. And from the way DS already seems hooked on her, like he always seemed hooked on Cam, I just can't help feeling like she'll be Cameron Jr. I don't think it's a conspiracy against Cam haters, it just seems to be the type of woman DS is interested in and a lot of people do hate Cam and I'm sure he knows that so maybe this is like his second chance or something. I could be completely wrong though, I could wind up loving 13, but I'm just stating my impressions based off the info. I have so far.

vitawash99- 09-08-2007

but, it's not a conspiracy against people who like cameron and david shore really never promised us anything. gah. my head hurts. Well, you know, I'm sure 13 and Cameron are totally alike. They both have brown hair. They're under 30. I'm sure 13 is also from the Midwest, married a dying man, offers her moral opinion at every opportunity, owns stock in a vest company, has a rather wicked sense of humor, etc. But really, there's no reason to think they'd be the same kind of personality, even if some of the same descriptors might apply. I mean, "enigmatic" doesn't exactly say much. My uncle who was in the NSA certainly qualifies as "enigmatic", but I can tell ya right now he doesn't have much in common with Cameron. (And now I sound like I'm being a hideous bitch to LightMyCandle, good grief. But I actually wrote this before she posted... ) I think I have to stop using tequila as a cough suppressant. Or share my stash, at least. On an utterly different note? 13 and that Sadowski guy seem to be the only ones wearing dosimeters.

Sorry, I didn't mean to make anyone's head hurt oh, i promise that you haven't come close to making my head hurt. i fully admit to only having read the last five or so pages (please don't ban me!!!) before commenting in this thread, but based on those five or so pages no one on this message board has played any role in my future cerebral hemmorage. other corners of the fandom, otoh, with their tunnel vision and total tendency to lose their shit over the very smallest thing (most of which never pan out the way they think they will) make me want to drive spikes into my eyeballs sometimes. (And now I sound like I'm being a hideous bitch to LightMyCandle, good grief. But I actually wrote this before she posted... ) seriously. in my head it's all different, but when it comes out on the page sometimes it's like, "no, i know that it sounds like i'm talking about you but really i'm being a bitch to someone else entirely!!!". {g} I think I have to stop using tequila as a cough suppressant. Or share my stash, at least. i vote for sharing. i've recently decided that i'm going to start drinking during the day just to see if it'll speed the work day up at all. On an utterly different note? 13 and that Sadowski guy seem to be the only ones wearing dosimeters. hey, i didn't even notice that! i can't be sure, but i think #2 might have one as well. it's tough to tell. random fashion hate: i'm not a fan of house's tshirt with the red stripe across it and, wtf...is 13 wearing suspenders? is it 1987 again and nobody told me? because i have this high waisted plaid poof skirt that i'm dying to wear with my pink high top chuck taylors...

DIY Sheep- 09-08-2007

At least it is slightly better then that pink shirt.

On the 13/Cam alike or not thing, Can't you people see that suspenders are just another version of vests???? But seriously folks, I hope 13 won't be Cameron parte deux but writing women characters is one of the very few areas in which I don't trust tptb as far as I could swing a cat so it wouldn't surprise me in the least if it played out that way. And since they are both human and are therefore bound to be alike in many ways, we can spend 13's entire stint on the show (short my it be if my wishes are granted) determining whether every single thing she does is/is not like Cameron. And since just about every other female who walks into PPTH does fall for House, my hopes are pretty grim in this area as well. Aaargh.

Vests, suspenders... is there no end to these odd clothing accessories?

LightMyCandle- 09-09-2007

I will admit to liking the vests. *hangs head in shame* But suspenders? Seriously? That's just...ugh.

saara_zaara- 09-09-2007

I totally love Mason's waistcoat - its a higher class of vest!

hry- 09-09-2007

Vests, suspenders... is there no end to these odd clothing accessories? IAWTC. Sorry, but RSL looking like a young Tom Harkin just does not do it for me.

melly- 09-09-2007

And since just about every other female who walks into PPTH does fall for House, my hopes are pretty grim in this area as well. Aaargh. If this "mysterious " #13 woman can refrain from drooling all over House she will automatically be my favorite female character on the show. I'm not holding my breath for it, since apparently every woman wants an aging, sarcastic, drug addict with a limp. But I can dream, can't I?

saara_zaara- 09-09-2007

Lord, yes melly. that would be nice & also have her not turn into House's sec & do his mail either. I recall there was a old interview earlier this summer (can't recall where) which suggested one of the newbies, maybe the Peter Jacobsen character Taub might be a single father. Anyone remember this & if there's been any confirmation?

vitawash99- 09-09-2007

I think Peter Jacobsen's character is supposed to be a plastic surgeon and a single father. (No word on whether that means widowed, divorced, etc. Or if he is a single father to a cute moppet or a sarcastic teenager.) Out of curiosity, has anything been said about Anne Dudek's character at all? I've seen the twins mentioned more often.

bailey- 09-09-2007

I've seen the twins mentioned more often. And by "twins" I assume you are referring not to Cuddy's breasts (which also gets a ridiculous amount of mentions) but to #s 15A & B? I'm going to be lame and admit that, aside from Kal Penn, I've never heard of any of these people joining the show. Apparently I do not watch nearly enough television.

Ranee- 09-09-2007

Vitawash, not really. This is a really old snippet from Ausiello from before the new cast additions were announced so I would take it wit ha grain of salt in terms of matching up cast with descriptions http://www.tvguide.com/Ask-Ausiello/house/070627-05 Of the two women, one is described as being in her thirties and "mysterious," while the other is in her twenties and a "real go-getter." The dudes, meanwhile, consist of a plastic surgeon in his thirties and a possibly single dad in his early forties. Also, two of the characters will be on for multi-episode arcs, and the other two will stick around as series regulars. So have the roles switched, been mashed up or is 13 the go-getter & intriguing & Amber (Ann Dudek) the mysterious one?? Peter Jacobsen's older than his 30s I thought, so did they amalgamate the characters & make him the single Dad & the plastics surgeon as well?

It's ok, I watch a ridiculous amount of television and don't know any of the people mentioned in the last few pages with the exception of Michael Michele. I guess I don't watch the right shows.
