And you don't even have to be in a bed to do any of that! :D ETA, I could see H/W in a bed together provided their relationship is still platonic at that point. But that still wouldn’t make it anything like Martin/Candy playing two strangers who are thrown together by an escalating scale of absurd circumstances. H/W are instead each other’s best and only friend for decades who have already briefly shared an apartment together, where it was established that neither of them snore, and who’s relationship has recently raised discussions about them being interested in each other romantically and sexually. The scene could be fun but it would also crackle.

The scene could be fun but it would also crackle. Yes, I can see a scene similar to the one in Boston Legal where Denny Crane and Alan Shore, who are buddies like H/W, share a bed. But DC & AS aren't as pretty. Back to House/Cuddy, I think their scene will be similar to the way LE described it would be. I had to go grab the TV Guide so I could quote her , "they're not romantic so it wouldn't be romantic. But they're both very intense. I think it would be like everything else in their relationship: supercharged, maybe a little angry and definitely explosive". That's the way I visualize it will be. I just don't see angst anywhere in that-before, during or after.

I don't think it would make Cuddy pathetic either, there have been plenty of things over the last two seasons that screamed "pathetic" to me but her sleeping with House in a moment of weakness would not be one of them. I think the risk, though, is the linking of those pathetic incidents, with something that isn't necessarily pathetic but could easily turn out that way. It all depends on how it plays out, really. This is all, of course, presuming something like this is happening, and not just Cuddy trying to break her enabling cycle or whatever. Attraction is hardly their biggest unresolved issue, it's just one of them.

I am always up for House/Wilson sweet platonic lovemaking! Good times. I have read too many fics where a trip is the reason that "long-standing, underlying thing between Wilson and House" finally gets addressed and turns into hot men!sex, so keeping my hopes low is practically impossible. I know ain’t gonna happen (this is FOX after all not HBO) but I am hoping for an almost kiss here, and I think even that is too much to ask for :?

I am hoping for an almost kiss here, and I think even that is too much to ask for Well, I'll be pretty happy with a hug. A strong, long, affectionate hug. Even Fox can't be against hugs, right?

The ones from Chase and Cameron he merely endured.)

Lully- 03-29-2008

Since I don't think none of them are actually the hugger type, the act would be even more significant. I don't expect a social, polite, meaningless hug, but something more powerful. It would depend of what took them to that point. House hugged Stacy and his mom because they are people he cares about (he also hugged Cuddy, but I think he was just wanting to take some advantage there) and I think Wilson is someone who he deeply cares about too. So I guess is more reasonable to hope for a hug than for a kiss...

I was surprised (delighted and amused, too) that they got away with the "long weekend in the Poconos could clear up a lot of things" Not the actual quote, but sort of that with Wilson thinking for a moment that House was inviting him for a long weekend....

Taiga- 03-29-2008

don't think Fox has anything against hugs, but House? He's not much of a hugger. Neither's Wilson. Besides, they're both guys. A hug between them would involve lots of back-slapping.

LightMyCandle- 03-29-2008

Neither's Wilson. Besides, they're both guys. A hug between them would involve lots of back-slapping. Good point. I think it's hilarious when guys hug, it's like they want to but they don't want to, hence the back-slapping. But yeah, House and Wilson seem to be mostly 'hands off' people, I actually think that a kiss is more likely than a hug and I'm not really expecting that either. I just can't see circumstances where they would hug, but I can see circumstances where they could kiss. (he also hugged Cuddy, but I think he was just wanting to take some advantage there) Oh, yeah. I don't count that, he didn't really hug back, so much as grab her butt.

Sister Trixi- 03-29-2008

I've never bought the argument that FOX won't show two men in a romantic embrace or in bed together "because well, it FOX afterall". FOX is the same network that has subjected it's viewers to watching women compete for the chance to marry some millionare (who, iirc was some sort of abuser--and not a millionare) and let's not forget the abomination that was My Big Fat Obnoxius Boss. Does FOX really believe that showing two men who are in love with one another kiss and hug is worse than two strangers actually getting married or quite literally the most obnoxius boss in the US? That said, I've never been one to see the HoYay between H and W. I just don't think that the writers will take us to a place where either House or Wilson acknowledge more than platonic feelings for one another.

I can imagine some scenarios where they would hug each other - and some others where they would kiss too, but I don't expect to see any of those happening... Like I said it would depend on the circumstances, but the back-slapping thing is exactly what I can't see them doing, though.

Chipmunk_love- 03-29-2008

Like I said it would depend on the circumstances, but the back-slapping thing is exactly what I can't see them doing, though. I can see House embracing Wilson's shoulder as he did Cameron's in Informed Consent. But, depending on the circumstances, that could become a hug...

LightMyCandle- 03-29-2008

I can see House embracing Wilson's shoulder Yeah, I can see that pretty easily but a full-blown hug...I don't know, those would have to be some pretty intense circumstances like a death or something.

The soap opera star is the one before the two-parter season finale, right? So we already know he has hematomachrosis. It's tradition!
