For us who like Cameron and Chase his comments are like a slap in the face.

DS uses the word follow-up, "The character fun will come from the followup between House & Wilson and how House reacts to this new relationship of Wilson's."
I'm sure C&C fans will be disappointed but Shore says that the characters are more impowered despite having less screen time since they no longer have to answer to House and he finds that interesting.

Yes, I'm disappointed because for me that's not interesting, have Cameron playing games with House is fun but not interesting, have Chase wearing scrubs and no lines is not interesting. Being part of the ddx, playing a doctor, discussing a case that's interesting.

David Shore should consult a dictionary. I'm not sure the word "interesting" means what he thinks it means.

Should I borrow him one?

More empowered and more interesting? Yeah, with that combined 11 minutes of screentime this season, they've really been empowered!

The two parter is on as is additional fallout from W/A re. H&W. So much for C&C coming back to fold soon though, Shore is happy with where they are and how their functioning (with more power) so I guess that will remain the same.
Okay, I can't listen to the interview (my computer has decided it no longer likes me) but there's going to be more W/A fallout? And no big CC coming back arc? *Sighs with relief*
If the two-parter is still on, I'm willing to bet money that it's going to bring the Huddy as a result of W/A. Read into that what you want, but I really, really think that's what's going to happen.
I went back five pages and can't find the DS interview that folks referencing. Could the poster repost it?

Idon - it's linked in the media thread, I think.

ETA - I'm still at work, & haven't had a chance to listen (:grumble, grumble:) but WARNING, apparently minor potential spoilers being discussed in the spoilers thread.
Yes, I'm still at work....

DS also mentioned one upcoming patient as a guy who is the nicest person ever and House's predictable reaction to that. It makes me wonder if it will be linked to Wilson and Cate's recent conversation that House is nicer than he seems while Wilson is not as nice as he comes off.
ETA, I forgot earlier to say Thanks very much to Ranee for posting the link in the Media thread and here!

In the case of Chase, I agree with DS, and I love the character and would love to see more of him. This season, I think every scene we've had with him has carried weight and JS hits it out of the park. His part has always been sparse but well developed nonethess, out of a wonderful synergy between writing and actor. I loved Chase in the last episode, where he had a little more screen time and room to show his stuff. If that's an example of what we can expect in the future, I think Chase will continue to have a significant presence on the show.
I think Cameron has been much less successful, but then I also think there is much less of a synergy between writing and actor there, and the character suffered in her previous development due to her arc being subsumed into the Crush. She doesn't seem so much empowered now as rudderless. Hopefully, the writers can start writing Cameron as a woman with flaws and issues that go beyond her crush on her boss, so she can get a direction on the show.

If the Huddy thing is true (and it was so vague and came from KJ filtered through Ausiello, so I think there's a HUGE probability it isn't) my biggest concern is that I hope, hope, hope Cuddy is the one who realizes it was a mistake and puts the kibosh on it. We need Cuddy to have the upper hand with House again! Because we've spent at least a season with it the other way around, and I don't like that. She's just now getting her mojo back, in being intelligent and acting like Savvy!Cuddy, someone who knows what the deal is and how to handle House: so please writers do not make the mistake of turning her into a weepy, pining girl with a crush on House.
If they do have a fling and she rejects him, that will rock so hard. I'm not saying break his heart, but I don't think either Cuddy or House believe they're destined to be together forever and have the white picket fence. I think they'd both quickly realize it was a mistake (again) and want back to their old relationship, just it would be nice if Cuddy was the one to take control (perhaps House erroneously thinking Cuddy was pining after him and Cuddy laying the smackdown).

Is he kidding? Obviously he and I have different ideas as to the meaning of functioning. They're barely on screen at all!
I'm not particularly attached to CCF. But I think it's ridiculous that he hasn't acknowledged how much their roles have been diminished.
I agree with jair that most of Chase's interactions with House and Co. have been meaningful. But the fact that they have more "power" hasn't come into play all that much. Certainly not enough to seem interesting.

Agreed. I'm starting to think he has a completely different dictionary than the ones I have.

Heck yes, I don't care about them and I'm offended on your behalf. What's he thinking?? Either give them something to do or cut them from the show.

Word, DrS, especially since Cuddy should realize she shouldn't schtupp her employees (probably a vain hope since she's had no problem with that kind of thing in the past).
More House&Wilson fallout from Wilber? Maybe House and Amber will be competing for Wilson's attention. Maybe the nicest guy in the world storyline will tie in where Wilson the nice guy breaks Amber's heart.
