I love House's facial expression in the first picture.
is he asleep on his feet in that promo picture?
Perhaps House has developed narcolepsy?
Or he's in pain. Or deep in thought. Not sure if he's asleep.

I get hyped up for Frozen with each new clip I see. I'm in no way put off by the fact that House seems to be connecting with another person, even if she is a patient. It's illuminating more of his willingness to try to change and grow, but it's also a little sad, since he only seems willing to take that step in such a low-risk situation--the woman is thousands of miles away and a more involved relationship beyond their webcams seems highly unlikely. It speaks to his level of self-confidence and the underlying fear of abandonment that seems to have a place in all of the major relationships in his life, platonic or not. I think it's fascinating, and I am very excited for it. :)

I'm wondering if for some reason he's introduced Wilson to Cate as Bob. That would explain why he emphasized the name like that.
ETA: It would also explain why Wilson called him on using Cate's real name. Perhaps this whole thing is supposed to be kept super-quiet, with everyone using "anonymous" names.
Ah, that would make the most sense to me, IMO. We'll have to see. Either way it's a bit meta to use RSL's real name for his "fake name" and I'll over meta jokes!

Other than 'Bob' being RSL's real name, my take on it would be: House rarely remembers names of his patients. Someone always has to correct him. Maybe Wilson is surprised that House knows his patient's name and is also concerned about her.

Two of those promo pics are from Frozen, I'm sure of it.

Kristin has a new interview with The Numbers here
I think this
Spoilers! The new kids were all perfectly tight-lipped about what's coming down the pike for the show, but I did get one little tease out of Jacobson: "There's nothing I can tell you, well, except the fact that I depose House and become the head of the department. I can't think of anything other than that." Princeton-Plainsboro coup d'état? Awesome.
is a joke, because guess what, Foreman redux, but it might be legit.
misere- 01-30-2008
I'm inclined to think it's a joke as well because Jacobsen was charmingly insincere in his other statement.

(stumbles into thread) Thanks for the concern about my head exploding, guys! My take on Thirteen's sizzling love life is that she's dating 1) Wilson or Cuddy or 2) someone on House's current team. That's the only way I see him caring about who she dates, since he's never cared about who the original ducks dated.
I can't see it being Cuddy, since she's supposed to be all hot for House. And Wilson, well, I'm on record as predicting he'll break Amber's heart and he's an adulterer but it's hard to see how he could go from being hopeless with women for 3.5 years to bedding two young babes in a row.
ETA Of course, you're right! Wilson waggled his antler at Thirteen and she was his. It's so obvious!

Did you see him in the reindeer hat?

Forgot to add that with this new spoiler snippet of dialogue where Cate says that everyone tells House that he needs to change but she doesn't think he does, the title of the following episode is even more intriguing.

And as distasteful as yet another swooning babe might be, someone - the only one - who accepts him exactly as he is would be like gold to House. Doesn't even necessarily have to mean romance. He would value and protect such a person, just as he values and protects the less-accepting Wilson.
I wonder if the "Are you alright?" dialog comes before or after she reveals that. I could see his openly caring making more sense (and being more acceptable) if it's in reaction to her attitude. Which Wilson would not be aware of if it takes place during the apartment scene, hence his WTF? reaction.
Re: calling Wilson "Bob" - Bob the Builder is what I thought of right away - Wilson is always trying to build a new and improved House - she isn't.
ETA: I tried to keep them from exploding your head as long as possible, Taiga! :)

And why wouldn't she accept him? She doesn't know him! She has no emotional connection with him! She can care less if he is self-destructive or not, as long as he saves her life. She doesn't want "to improve or build a new House" because this one is the only one she needs.
Wilson, Cuddy and even CC&F know better and that's why they are less-accepting. Most of the time they are worried about House, the human being, not House the genius doctor.
Back to the spoilers... 13 as a lesbian (or bi) would be fantastic. I know the actress already did that role, but if they want her to be unpredictable and interesting they need to make her less boring and, well... predictable!

The context is important. She's a shrink. He makes a statement to her after she reads off a litany of his emotional issues. He say. "So now I suppose you'll tell me I need to be fixed" (like everyone else does, e.g.). She answers: "I never said you have to be fixed." It's important because a psychaitrist (A REAL one) validates him in a way that all the amateurs around him haven't.
Lully- 01-31-2008
As long as I know any shrink would want "to fix" their patient with one consult - in fact I don't think that to fix the patient is the objective of therapy. And if she thinks that all his emotional issues are perfect reasonable, she may not be a very good one.
His friends are not psychaitrists but they care about him and there's nothing to stop House to go out and find better friends or a better shrink.

This is what I picked up and, and on what I based my comments. The people closest to a person often don't really understand him, or how to help him. (The loved ones of suicides often say this.) And no one close to House has the professional skills and objectivity that Cate has.
Just as House sees emotion as an obstacle to clear and rapid physical diagnosis, it's entirely possible that this is what enables Cate to quickly and effectively understand House.
And we don't yet know what he reveals to her that he may not have revealed to anyone else, even Wilson - exactly because there is no risk, no emotional entanglement, no fallout - and she is physically removed from his world.
As a psychiatrist, her validation might mean even more to him than the well-meaning, but unschooled people he loves.
