Clip summary - House playing the white guitar in his office; Cuddy in a rather nice cream suit talking about a patient, young woman (26 yrs old) who was injured in the building collapse, wants House to see her - she has temperature of 104 degrees despite antibiotic treatment.
He refuses, no patients as no team. Cuddy asks if he's even interviewed anyone.
House says you test drive a car before you buy, have sex before get married. Can't hire a team based on a 10 minute interview. I think the last line is
"what if I feel like having sex with them?"

Thanks so much! Sounds awesome... can't wait.... only 20 days now!

People have sex before they get married? what?! I can hear the family values people writing letters already.

Welcome,
Also this, I just posted on the spoilers thread also. CIA? Okay?
Also, from Ausiello
Michael Michele has just been tapped to scrub in as a guest on the show - she isn't coming in as a series regular so far. House meets the "CIA medicine woman when he's called to the agency to care for a patient. She wows him with her bedside manner, and wham, bam, thank-you-ma'am, he invites her to come work for him at PP." (yes, Ausiello has a lovely turn of phrase.)
I gotta get some sleep now. 8)

I heard "what if I don't like having sex with them". Not entirely sure, though.

How does that man get paid to play the guitar all day? I mean tenure is one thing, but this is ridiculous.
For the 'dang it FOX clips never work for me' crowd:
House is playing rifts on his little white ukele looking guitar - with a very large loud amp and Cuddy has to try to get a sentence in inbetween his musical ecstasy.
He is wearing his finger tee so this must also be the day he enlists 'Doctor Bumper's' help and Wilson and his teddy bear scold him.
...
And everyone knows we are moving to houseofwhining.com right?

House tried to get Foreman to stay. I think he knew Foreman wasn't ready to go on his own.
That's canon, actually. House doesn't mince words; he comes right out and says to Foreman, "You're not ready." and "You still trust my judgment more than your own."
In fact, it's those lines that convinced me that House firing Chase was, in fact, a (rare) compliment to Chase.

*bangs head against the wall* Why do I smell a ship? Why does Ausiello suck so much? I shall ponder these things today. *continues to bang head against the wall*

Jesse's interview with Merrick & Roscoe makes me want to cry. :(
saara_zaara- 09-05-2007
So folks know what E_C is referring to, tineey, tiny spoiler from JS in this interview that was posted on the JS thread -
JS did an interview this week with a couple of Aussie DJs who are on a trip to LA for their radioshow. You can download the show plus a pic at this link on the radiostations website. Note there are 3 audio clips to be downloaded.

He mentions he's not working a lot right now because of the focus on the new characters.
Also - are a lot of folks having problems with the fox clip? - if you're a mac user, it works fine with firefox & quicktime 7.2 which is what I am using. Also, make sure you click the "play this clip" button, don't launch the whole video central at the bottom, it takes up a load more memory.

I finally got the video to work thanks to saara_zaara's advice.
Who else thinks that, during that scene, all Cuddy really wanted was to jump House. Ahhh, but for the glass walls...
I'm a little bit leery of this Michael Michele buisiness. Does anyone here remeber her from ER? I always found her acting to be incredibly emotionless. G-d! I hope she doesn't 'intrigue' House. Enough of that, already!

OMG. Michael Michele is...not a good actress. Gorgeous, yes, but, oh, really not great. Actually, I say that, but I think she might have been okay in Kevin Hill, so maybe she's improved. But I do remember her inhaling voraciously on Homicide while she tried to be tough and it was painful to watch. Please, oh please, let that be a one-shot.

awwwww... extra_cat, I thought of you when I listened to that interview. Jesse sounded upbeat and busy, but I'm sure you're more concerned with his "all this free time" and "right now we're hardly working at all" comments. I believe this interview was done last week, right? I have no idea what episode they were working on at that time, but they must have at least four of them completed, I would think. It's not very encouraging for Ducklings fans to know they are practically non-existent in at least the first four episodes, possibly more. If Omar is coming back last, he really must be looking at some serious free time right now. It would be nice if TPTB would show some glimpses of the Ducklings in one of their promos, if only to reassure their fans. The only glimpses we've seen so far are from old clips, nothing new.
And where the heck are they going to squeeze in Michael Michele?
How does that man get paid to play the guitar all day? I mean tenure is one thing, but this is ridiculous. DIY Sheep, that was my reaction as well. As much as I appreciate House playing the guitar, this clip irritated me, probably because I was hoping that Cuddy would finally resume her role as House's boss and *tell* him what to do for a change. I kept wondering why she didn't unplug the damn guitar instead of meekly waiting for opportunities to entice him to actually do his job. I want KickAss!Cuddy back. I liked and admired her.

KickAss!Cuddy is dead and gone. Completely killed off in season three. I have a bad feeling that SuckAss!Cuddy is here to stay. I tried watching a bit of Fetal Position last night and just had to change the channel. LE was simply awful in that episode. It freaked me out that I turned the channel from "House" but there you have it.
The preview clips bother me a little bit, too. I wonder if they're not trying to make House too "cool." I think I prefer the House that is a little bit socially awkward; the guy that plays piano only for himself and thinks corsages are still what people give each other. House the rock star is every bit as discomforting as Hugh the international rock star.
Or maybe I'm just jonesing for new episodes and looking for something to pick apart.

Well, I'm assuming we do get KickAss!Cuddy back because at some point after House tells her he doesn't want or need a team, he has over forty fellowship applicants following him around.
edited because I just got back from the dentist and can't type properly :?

Ahh, don't say that. I finally catch a Cam break but now I fear the dealing with Olivia Wilde (or as I call her Cameron Jr.) and this Michael Michele (whoever she is) and now Suck!Cuddy. I can't take it, I tell you I can't. I want Strong!Cuddy back. She was cool.

I know. Painful FP memories resurfacing...I still hold a grudge over that ep. and everyone involved, unfair and irrational I know, but they made me sit through an hour of Whiny!Pathetic!Cuddy so whatever. :x
