Okay so based on the Global promo I know how Cameron, Chase, and Foreman will return to House's team.
And Wilson's "that's the kind of crap that happens when you mess with people's heads" and Cuddy's "you already fired the ones you just hired" is for the win.
Don't care about the 3 former ducks coming back but it's good to know how they come back. I can see Cuddy saying to House either keep what you have or bring your old team back.

So you think the three newbs are literally on the scrap heap already?
No worries then about billing.
If that's so then the heads they're messing with are ours.

Did you hear what House says to Cuddy before she replies "you already fired the ones you just hired"? I can't hear it too well. The sound is weird.

He said he wanted to hire 40 more fellows. Then Cuddy ASKED (didn't state) if he had already fired the ones he just hired. Oh, if only it had been a definitive statement. :(

Thanks, and what does it have to do with hiring back Cameron and Chase? He's willing to go over 40 new candidates again not bringing the old ones back.

Going on the recent JM and OW interviews, I really doubt the newbies are already gone. If they were then what does JM have to complain about? My preference for the new team aside, I think it would be a giant step back for Chase and Cameron (especially Chase) to go back to House's team. Chase was ready to move one, he's good enough. Cameron coming back would just prove to me once and for all that she is completely incapable of moving on which will just lead to me banging my head against the wall. Ideally, I think Chase should get his own Diagnostic team and if Cameron really misses that kind of job, then she can be on it. Maybe Foreman too but only because I would enjoy Foreman having to answer to Chase.
Guest Starring: Robert Sean Leonard, Jennifer Morrison, Jesse Spencer
...This leaves me shaken and disturbed.

I suppose it could be seen as his way of looking for what he had before. Chase refused what looked like an offer to come back. Cameron said she didn't want her old job back. Since they've both said no and he hasn't been able to find them in the numbers, he's still looking? I guess the idea of him having MORE fellows could open the door for Cuddy and House bringing back Chase and Cameron as attendings in the department, so they'd all be working for House. But it really doesn't make a whole lot of sense for Cameron to leave her position in the ER for a lower one and it especially makes no sense for Chase to leave "department head" (according to KJ) to be an attending under someone else. It's all so convoluted anyway. And if we're to believe what the actors have to say, they don't have a clue 12 episodes in how they're going to be brought back yet anyway.

What I don't get is if Chase and Cameron come back, House will go from having three fellows to having six. Are they still going to treat only one patient a week? Isn't it, oh, OVERKILL to have seven doctors treating one freakin' patient at a time? Even Taub said so with five doctors in 'Games'.

According to House "At least Chase's move is only one step down", so being House's attendings or former fellows rank a higher position than the one they're now. If I had to choose who to believe, House or Katie Jacobs I'd choose House, I can't trust KJ.

That's what I thought.

I think House meant compared to a position like Foreman's, which is what his fellowships should be preparing them for. A fellowship does not compare to a senior attending position, even one of House's fellowships. :D They are temporary positions meant to teach a specialty which the person will leave the fellowship to practice. Neither Cameron nor Chase did that, which is what House is commenting on.
I think House and Chase's first scene together this season put paid to Chase coming back. House's look up to Chase looked very much to me like him silently asking if Chase would come back if he asked. Chase evidently thought so, too, and he gave a very definite head shake back. I can't imagine that the writers spent the first half of the season with a hiring arc they will dump in the next episode. And I wouldn't want them to. Chase is ready to move on and Cameron needs to find out how to. I'm hoping their next arcs focus on how House establishes a new relationship with them.

I don't know about that... they spent a long time on Tritter and everything went right back to normal. I would LOVE for them to dump the newbies. At the very least, they should keep their word and bring Chase and Cameron back to House's inner realm. If we are to believe David Shore and Katie Jacobs, whatever this arc was, the long-term result was still going to be having Chase, Cameron, and Foreman "back." Even Hugh Laurie said they'd be back, comparing them to teenagers returning home after leaving the nest and comparing House to an "abusive" father. So either they were just lying to the audience or it's part of their vision.
The doubt and skepticism comes from the fact that C&C have barely been around all season and the actors don't sound too confident about their positions twelve episodes in, and KJ doesn't sound like she has a freaking clue in the press she's done. It's like the arc that never ends! I'm eager for it to get back to status quo like it did post-Vogler, post-Stacy, and post-Tritter.
galaxygirl- 01-27-2008
But why would they want to come back. They both have better jobs now.
Lost dumped a storyline mid-season(the Nikki/Paulo one) after the audience reaction on it, so it's possible though I have to admit that I have more faith in the Lost TPTB than in the House TPTB at this point.

Because, deep down, they're both in love with House? LOL

I for one, would do happy dance on the (figurative) graves of the new ducks.
