Well, this Wilson/Amber thing must be great since I don't remember this Ausiello guy talking about anything else except his "ship" of choice... It's unusual for him to be this excited about something that doesn't involve House/Cameron spoilers.

Yeah I think its just the idea of Amber coming back at all being a big surprise and that's what he thinks is great. I don't think he knows anymore than that. Heck he was way behind us on this one. Also a girlfriend for Wilson increases the likelihood of Huddy or Ham and so in a sense it works for Ausiello.

Lully- 01-16-2008

And didn't he imply this when he talked about his interview with KJ? Something about the Superbowl episode leading to Ham our Huddy for some mysterious reason? I just love the idea that Wilson is an obstacle for whatever other ship he likes...

This W/A thing was a gift to him. It's about the ONLY time Arseiello has gotten a pairing correct on the show. Remember House and Julie Whitner? House and the race car driver? Yeah, those romantic interests TOTALLY happened.

Remember House and Julie Whitner? House and the race car driver? You mean the two most epic love stories since Scarlett kissed Rhett? How could I forget? Okay, I the more I think about it the more I am loving the idea of Wilson and Amber (so naturally it will be a huge letdown) but the name Wilber just makes me think of Charlotte's Web and I just can't say it, er type it.

galaxygirl- 01-16-2008

We can change it to Jamber though(three letters of both names, much more fair) ;) I prefer to just stick to Wilson/Amber.

I have a minor freak out whenever I read one of those ridiculous portmanteaus. Those of you who love me and care about my mental health should please cease and desist from using them. 'Cause it's all about me, babes! 8)

LightMyCandle- 01-16-2008

(three letters of both names, much more fair) More fair, certainly but no other ship name does that. Huddy (one letter for House and four for Cuddy. Hameron (again one for House and six for Cameron. Hilson (same deal.) It's no big deal I'll just stick to W/A. It's what I usually do for House and Wilson (I hate resorting to saying Hilson.)

Makes me think of Mr. Ed. "Ohhh, Wiiilbuuurr!" I'm sort of partial to Witch (Wilson + B!tch, tm someone brilliant upthread) -- if the voyage is long enough to merit even christening the ship. edited by GG to remove extra tag

Mr. Ed's Wilbur was the first thing that hit my mind when I first saw the name Wilber pop up

And didn't he imply this when he talked about his interview with KJ? Something about the Superbowl episode leading to Ham our Huddy for some mysterious reason? It was the original Superbowl episode which was going to start a two-parter and supposedly have some sort of Huddy connection. But it was vague and those episodes' plotlines were apparently scrapped due to the strike. A lot of fans concluded that House and Cuddy were going to have a one night stand in one of those episodes, but I've never seen any actually confirmation that was actually a concrete spoiler. Notice portmanteau names don't really work for the real life couples either. HughJo? Raby? Gobert? K-Paul? Patie? (Paul and Katie). Sounds like a demented children's show (though Gobert is oddly endearing).

Sadly our faves are not gifted with smooshable names like Bennifer, Brangelina, and the obscenely brilliant Filliam H. Muffman (come on, you HAVE to give it up for that one).

Are you saying we jump to conclusions? Sadly our faves are not gifted with smooshable names I think Raby is kind of fun to say.

DrSpaceman- 01-16-2008

"Hey, my dog, HughJo, it got the Raby."
