I don't know why you'd dislike her POV, since she's been pro HoYay in interviews
As an entertainment tool, sure. She likes to "play" with it. But from what I've read, she doesn't view House nor Wilson as anything other than conveniently hetero.
If it ever turns out I'm off beam, I'll be throwing a banquet in her honour.
But her strictly straight POV aside though it usually goes together I dislike her soap-operaish perspective of the show&characters in general.
We should really move this to the PTB thread. Do we have one?

I'll respond since I started the "me too" KJ hate train. I'm going to censor myself right now cause I want to keep it civil. I appreciate you bringing it to my attention that how I speak my truth offends you. I am happy to accomodate you because well ... I can. I'm just that good. I read many things here that could offend me but I figure that people have different ways of speaking their truth and I'd rather read what they really think than the watered version. I tend to have strong opinions that are not easily dissauded by what others think. I'm just that old Smile I just hope this place doesn't become that Other Place. Mod Note: To quote Nigel Barker, Noted Fashion Photographer in this week's episode of America's Next Top Model (What? I'm not allowed a guilty pleasure now and then?): "Ooooo, the sarcasm is rich"
We're getting into some nasty territory here a la the Michael Michele Hate!Fest 2007, etc. and it's inappropriate.
We do have rules here and here's one that y'all should bear in mind:
You can disagree with someone all you want - it's healthy, even - but no personal attacks on anyone. I mean anyone - this includes other members, other communities on the web, members/moderators on said boards and critics. Personal attacks can result in instant suspension, or even banning. You have been warned. So even though KJ may not be a favorite of many of us, let's try to keep things civil. And I agree maybe we do need a thread about the producers. This discussion really doesn't belong here. You are absolutely right and ...
ETA: Namaste has made you one because SHE'S just that good! ;-)
http://houseofwhining.com/viewtopic.php?t=353
So go forth and discuss and by "discuss", I mean something substantive, some dialogue back and forth, respectful sharing of opinions (you know the drill), not a vitriolic "me too" bitch-a-thon.
Who loves ya, babies?

Yes, January. This might go better in the scheduling thread, though (we do have one, right?)
By the way, are you trying to link to something? I've noticed the "believe:////" thing in your posts before.

The same way everyone else here will, I suppose. Just imagine the fans of "24." They might not get any episodes this year, because the network wants to run all 24 episodes continuously, so without a full slate of 24, they won't run any. (I don't recall if "Lost" is also on hold indefinitely for the same reason.)
But it's won't be just a month. IIRC, the next new one will air at the end of January.

The original plan for Lost was a 16 episode run in '08. They've finished shooting 8; depending on the length of the strike, that could be all for this season.
shemett, you may need a tranquilizer. We'll get 2 (?) more new episodes - one around the Superbowl, and the other probably for Feb sweeps.. Unless the strike ends fairly soon, it's going to be a long, dry spell after that.
filex1410- 12-01-2007
My understanding from the schedule that Fox released on 11/07, right after the strike began, is that there are three new episodes left and this is the planned airing:
22 Jan - #410 or a rerun
29 Jan - #411 or a rerun
Post Super-bowl episode 3 Feb - #412 or whatever the last finished episode is
According to interviews with House folks from the picket line 412 was in fact the last completed episode.
Now if the strike continues and no new episodes go into production between now and January FOX could skip January completely for new episodes and wait to air 410 & 411 in February w/410 being the Super Bowl episode. This would give them 3 new shows in an all important Sweep month before they run dry.
Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

You know, I think they're actually going somewhere with Wilson (which would make me mad if the one arc that got jipped was a Wilson one). With the "I love you", Wilson's reaction reminded me of "yeah, whatever" House's trying to help Wilson last episode only made Wilson think House was trying to control him, maybe for his money (which sounds corny but hey, you never know) and House knowing Wilson's blood type to which Wilson only assumed House had taken some of Wilson's blood to satisfy some curiosity of House's, not that House had just remembered it (i know, a naive thought but Wilson is the eternal optimist, right?)...There seems to be a thread of a connection in that each of these situations House is showing some kind of care/concern for Wilson and each time Wilson has essentially shrugged it off.
Also, in Resignation Wilson loudly exclaims "You don't care!" so maybe it's some resolution arc to perhaps the idea that Wilson doen't think House cares about him anymore. Perhaps they'll get a patient to ask Wilson if House cares about him and this time his answer will be in complete contrast to his last answer...?
I don't know, just speculating (and therefore thought this thread might be appropriate  )

I really hope so. I agree that each time House has tried to show some sort of concern this year towards Wilson, Wilson has just kind of ignored it. I can't say that I blame him, after everything that happened last year, I would be extremely reluctant to believe that House cared about me. Maybe (hopefully) something will happen to prove to Wilson that House really cares. He has seemed more confident and playful with House this year but perhaps it's still hard for him to believe that his friend really does love him. Of course, with the strike, it could take a long while for it to get resolved. (Not that I don't completely support the writers. I do.) I'm willing to wait.

Bridgi, I found your post interesting, but as it's not spoiler related I'm going to post my reply in the Wilson chracter thread...

...based on my chat last week with exec producer Katie Jacobs, I suspect the original two-parter would've advanced either the Huddy or Hameron storylines in a big way.

Question: Do you have any scoop on the post-Super Bowl episode of House? — Suzanne
Ausiello: Yes, but it's a little bit of a bummer. As I first scooped in this week's Ausiello Report vodcast, a planned two-part episode that was going to air after the big game and then continue the following Tuesday was scrapped due to the strike. Instead, a regular eppy guest-starring Oscar winner Mira Sorvino will take its place. Not to rub salt in the wound or anything, but I am obliged to add that, based on my chat last week with exec producer Katie Jacobs, I suspect the original two-parter would've advanced either the Huddy or Hameron storylines in a big way. Speaking of which, as promised, here's what Ms. Jacobs had to say about how Chase and Cameron might fold back into House's team in '08. "The question is not really when, it's how, insofar as they're now each in their own domain doing really well. But is it bugging Cameron that she's not really in on all of House's business? And how is it for Chase to be head of a department? And when those things become clearer, then I think we'll know what the hospital is going to look like." Meaning that in the end, the new doctors and the old doctors will end up working together, right? Right? "That I can't say for sure," she demurs. "Right now, we're just exploring how Cameron and Chase running different departments either helps or hinders House. And how much they like being away from him and having their own space, or how much they don't like being away from them."
Okay so we knew Cameron had gone from fellow to "senior attending," but were we supposed to assume that Chase had gone from fellow to running the surgery department? WTF?
I hope he's saying either/or for HAM just because that's his ship. I can deal with Huddy going forward, but HAM on top of the rest of this season? :thumb down:
loreliah- 12-05-2007
What bugs me the most is that Chase and Cameron are apparently running departments... since when? We have never seen them really giving orders and such. And why would they leave a job as a department head to go work under (or with) House?
Eh, I'm more Ham than Huddy (sorry guys  ) so I would have liked that, actually. But I can wait it out.
LightMyCandle- 12-05-2007
...based on my chat last week with exec producer Katie Jacobs, I suspect the original two-parter would've advanced either the Huddy or Hameron storylines in a big way.
First off, he said "suspect." Secondly, I'm almost positive it would be Huddy, they are (or at least they were) supposed to wind up in bed together at some point this season, were they not? And it has just seemed to me that DS and KJ are more enthusiastic this year about Huddy and they just kind of mention HAM every now and then to keep the fans of that pairing happy, YMMV.
