Going through the promo frame-by-frame, I couldn't tell who was stabbing who with the huge needle. My first thought was "oh, another lumbar puncture" but now I can't remember if that's really the needle they use for LPs. I want to know why CTB is trying to set off a smoke alarm, who made the wallet? the patient is holding flame, and why House's shirt is buttoned all the way up (except the neck button?) when he collapses. I really have no idea how much of the preview I saw. There could easily be 4-5 seconds missing, as they are usually that much longer and we had several seconds of blank screen. Also, maybe the preview in Canada is different because it would be silly to tell you about full episodes on fox.com when you can't watch them.

Okay so it's possibly House stabbing himself to see if the guy really is sick or the guy stabbing him to prove that he really is sick? Do I have that right? I just cannot imagine anyone in the cast (even though Foreman actually did, the situation was entirely different) deliberately stabbing each other, least of all House. I just can't believe it, it has to be himself or the POTW.

I'm not convinced the needle and the reaction from House are from the same scene. It's not a smooth cut between the two shots. The needle part looks like a regular medical procedure though - just with a huge needle-like device (which you can also see in the next screencap).

The thing that made me think it's House is that the stabee is wearing a gray-ish t-shirt. So, it doesn't seem likely it's the patient, who'd be wearing a gown. Of course, thanks to the other thing you mentioned, marykir - House's buttoned up all the way shirt - I can't see what color t-shirt he's wearing underneath the button-down. LMC, I'm pretty sure that Kutner would volunteer to stab House, but it doesn't look like his watch in the scene.

I just assumed the gray fabric was a blanket :)

I'm fairly pathetic, so I went back and looked again. House is definitely wearing a dark gray t-shirt under both the pink button-down and blue button-down. Now, if only I could figure out who owns that watch with the metal strap... Ooh, forgot to add... Does anyone have a link or know the source of the interview in which tptb said they hadn't decided yet who they were keeping as the new fellows?

*smiles* Well, do we know that House is even really hurt? It's possible he has a magician's prop, and he has Wilson stab him with it, and then sinks to the floor to play a prank on Wilson. ~ Nightdog, grabbing at straws :wink:

Oh, you guys :wink: It looks like it effing hurts! And then he's poor sick!House later. Plus, it's House experimenting with his body again (and not in a fun way!) so I seriously doubt Wilson would approve.

It's probably Wilson stabbing him with the antidote.

The hands don't look right for it to be 13. Too big and meaty.
