I'm not for or against potty humor, it all depends on the situation.
The whole laxatives thing is...worse, I think than what Wilson's done. Because Wilson never humiliated House (I really don't think the cane snapping thing was humiliating) but this has the potential to be so.
ITA, I really can't believe Cuddy's resorting to this, he had better do something really, really horrible to her for this to be in any way justified in my mind.
I tend to think it was something really horrible and hurtful. Of course I'm still trying to figure out how it could possibly rise to the level of the unnecessary death of his patient and the patient's dog in 97 secs.

Well, I don't know which promo this was in, it might've been the one shown in Aus, but I seem to recall House saying to Foreman that he's going to humiliate Cuddy because she humiliated him by hiring Foreman back so, maybe he does deserve what she does to him? Who knows, but she really is taking advantage of his weak spot here, he need for pain relief so maybe he takes advantage of her weak spot, her struggle to have a child?

Still, whatever it is he did to her (and if he's out to get her I'm sure he did something awful), she should find another way to get back at him. This is just downright wrong/cruel (especially for a doctor to do it, but then again, she's never been above cutting him off from pain relief) and also cheap, an easy way to go.

Oh I agree, I think either the writers didn't really think this through or they really are trying to assassinate Cuddy's character. Though I don't think she's cutting him off from pain relief, as the impression I got from the description of the preview in Canada (gees, it's like Chinese whispers, "Purple-monkey-dishwasher") was that she's mixing it in with his pain medication which is a)good because he still getting pain meds b) bad because he's probably gonna seriously overload on the laxatives.
I think this is...weird. Cuddy used to have much better ways to get back at House, like with student teaching etc. Much more productive ways, anyway.
But, I'm that was just me hoping that House must've done something really horrendous to her before she'd turn to this option. I'm going to go with that because otherwise, I'll get sad.
And that is not good.

I agree, sad = bad.

ITA Hibernia. And as far as whatever it is he does to humiliate Cuddy, I feel certain it's not in regard to her trying to having a baby since after it being brought up in how many episodes, it seems to be a forgotten storyline.

Getting back to the promo for a moment, I think the new clips of Wilson in the OR and then House talking about the patient's blood turning to sludge with Foreman watching are two seperate scenes. I could be wrong but they just don't feel like the same scene.

Oh, it'll be back, though. We can bank on it

I told a friend of mine about the laxative thing today and she thought it was funny and this is a girl who doesn't even like Cuddy. I couldn't believe it. She says she thinks House exxagerates his pain anyway, I dropped the subject because it was ticking me off.

It is my grave belief that KJ won't relent until Cuddy will be spurting that baby.

Let's see -- so far this season the promos have had the following provocative spoiler scenes:
-- Cuddy trying to get a word in edgewise with House strumming away on his guitar. Fans ranted that this showed how whipped Cuddy was, she couldn't even stop him from disturbing the hospital. When we got the entire broadcast scene after the edit, we see that Cuddy does indeed unplug House and get him back on the job. Promo monkeys : 1
-- Cuddy meeting Foreman for a restaurant meal and practically begs him to come back to work at PPTH. Fans rant that this demonstrates how cowed Cuddy is, what an administrative dunderhead she is. When we see the entire episode we get the great final Foreman-Cuddy scene in which she softly and emphatically puts him in his place. Promo monkeys: 2
-- House is stunned when the POTW names the ghost she sees as his Grandpa Walt. He exits the room with a gobsmacked look on his face, prompting fans to complain that now we have House believing in the supernatural and sabotaging the realistic basis of the show. When we see the whole broadcast scene without editing, we find out that in fact House was playing the POTW in order to get information. Promo monkeys: 3
Delivering half-truths through clever editing and omissions is the stock-in-trade of the Fox promotional enterprise. I am happy to suspend concerns about the meaning of spoilers about Cuddy switching Vicodin for laxatives until we see the entire story as told in the episode.

Word, blacktop.
For all we know Cuddy 1) has a good reason for this 2) doesn't carry through with it or 3) its really Foreman's idea j/k
Now, please someone convince me that the lack of Chase in the promos is just another promo monkey trick & we're going to get lots & lots of Chase all of a sudden.

I definitely agree with you, blacktop - until we see how things play out in the episode, it's premature to judge it inappropriate, or to get terribly upset by it either way.
Whether one feels that the pill-switching is too far or not, I have to disagree with whoever said House would think this was "over the line," as it seems to me to be exactly the kind of thing House would respect: the person he's messing with firing back in kind. He'll also be pissed, and retaliate in some horribly over-the-top way, but he'll still respect the effort. *Plus,* this way, he'll have a great response the next time she gives him crap (um, pun not intended) about how he should be more mature, and gloat that she sank to his level - that's gotta be a plus.

Let me add a Word to Blacktop as well. Cuddy has never been cruel to House. Whatever her reason, I'm sure it's justified cause you know we're talking about House here.
Re: Chase. Well since we got four Cam scenes  last episode, it seems only fair that we should get at least two Chase scenes :D this episode.
