As far as House not noticing the difference, I really don't think he looks at the pills that closely (looking for the "Watson 387" imprint for instance). And unless he is in a great deal of pain he probably doesn't suck/chew on them all that often. House probably swallows (that's for all the maligned Ho Yayers!!) That said, the pills could be replaced successfully with the antibiotics Ceftin or ciprofloxacin, both of which can cause diarrhea (same dif as a laxative, right?) Or the gout med colchicine which can have the same effect. Vytorin looks kinda like a Vicodin, too. I think that any switch that deprives House of his pain meds, while giving him the trots, is incredibly mean. I also believe he likely did something to earn it. That's our House!!

I think after taking one false pill House would notice it not working the way it should and the consequenses should be minimal. Yeah, but what's minimal? Every walk to the toilet (or wherever) is one too many when your leg hurts. Especially when you're forced to walk faster than you really can/should. House must also look to everyone like walking actually helps his leg pain, as much as he is running up and down the corridors. True, To21be, but then it's his own choice. Sometimes walking does help, sometimes it makes things much worse.

Ok, a way TMI post coming up, but everytime I have diarrhea, I barely make it to the bathroom. And I have two good working, painfree legs. I cannot imagine going through that with chronic pain in my leg, and not on painkillers.

Oh, I think he'll figure out the switch pretty quickly. Took meds, leg still hurts, go to take more and pay more attention this time. Sees it's not Vicodin and heads for the Lupus book to get the real deal. Of course, there's still that other little matter.......

Yeah, but since there's a long delay before the laxatives take effect, maybe once he realizes that's what he took, he takes something to counteract them before they do any damage.

Thank you GG! :D And I agree, Cuddy or whoever is doing this is way off line. I hope House smacks them with his cane, and not in that good, kinky way. House probably swallows (that's for all the maligned Ho Yayers!!) And thank you too Nursy! *giggling sillily* About the guitar - Wilson began with a harmless prank, and damaged the guitar only after House threw his phone out the window (not to mention erasing his telenovela! Bastard.) It remains to be seen if House will do something to deserve this. Like replacing Cuddy's fertility meds with tick-tacks.

Eww...I don't like this spoiler. Potty humor is never amusing to me - I find it juvenile, and it makes me uncomfortable. It's an old gag, and I just find it cruel. I'm really unhappy about this - potty humor is the only thing that I never find amusing - it just makes me turn off the TV. This isn't Two and a Half Men or some other crappy sitcom.

RNwannabe- 10-28-2007

some other crappy sitcom. Intentional pun?

Jouse- 10-28-2007

some other crappy sitcom. Intentional pun? I was going to write earlier that it's a shitty thing to do, but I kept myself in check. Not enough, though, apparently.

Namaste- 10-28-2007

Two things: One, do we know that this is an actual spoiler? It's not in EW (at least it wasn't in the past few weeks' issues, though I haven't finished this week's issue yet) and US isn't noted for its spoilers. Anyone recall an actual spoiler from US? (And "some Canadian poster says she saw something about a Cuddy/House prank war" sounds a lot like the poster on TWoP last year absolutely convinced she'd seen multiple previews with House and Cameron having sex.) Two: Since a common side effect of Vicodin is constipation, I would guess that House is familiar with or has used laxatives before. Heck, I've used laxatives before and from my experience it's never had the effect that has been used in fiction for dramatic/comedic effect.

Thanks for the promo marykir! But.. but.. WHY is there a clip from GA in there?

LightMyCandle- 10-28-2007

Yeah, I don't know why they were using clips from old episodes but oh, well. On a related note, Wilson in scrubs is hot. That is all. No, wait, it's not all, Foreman was watching that surgery right? So does House get into a "power struggle" (or whatever you want to call it) with Cuddy and Wilson (only Wilson unknowingly) to prove something to Foreman? To sum up, Wilson in scrubs is hot.

vitawash99- 10-28-2007

Seriously, rantiness aside...have any Canadians seen this alleged promo? The only place I've seen that mentioned was on the FOX board, and no one seemed to be able to support the report. This wasn't in Entertainment Weekly. US Weekly hasn't arrived yet, stupid postman. Who's going to take one for the team and go down to 7-Eleven and flip through the TV section? And ta, Marykir, for the new promo. I'm glad you can't remember that guy's name, either.

cindylouwho- 10-28-2007

To sum up, Wilson in scrubs is hot. That is all I need to know. :)
