Since House had no problem walking around naked in Wilson's apartment, I don't have an issue with him being naked in a bedroom.
What worries me about the summary of "Selfish" is Wilson's role in it. If I remember one of promos correctly, this must be the episode where Wilson is sitting in on the DDX, so terminally ill perhaps=cancer, which could mean once again Wilson gets to misdiagnosed cancer. Hopefully, it'll be more like Autopsy than like Family.

Maybe he's consulting with his team/checking out some x-rays they sent him or something like that? Although he's said to be avoiding his team, so maybe not. Perhaps he's checking for places he wants to take Cuddy to during their roadtrip? (if that roadtrip even happens, that is)
oooh, I like that interpretation. Maybe he's ordering concert tickets?

Or tickets to a play? :D

It is intimate and comfortable. I think that's the point. Are people not allowed to be naked in their own bedrooms, in their own beds, after they pass a certain age? If so, let me know, because I'd hate to break some international law.
As to the use of the laptop, I'd like to say "Bravo" for avoiding that damn L-shaped sheet cliche to avoid exposing certain parts. Very clever of them, I think.
Actually, I think it's the laptop that's bothering me the most, to me it looks awkward or a little silly, I think it ruins the aesthetics of the whole setting. It makes the "covering certain parts" a lot more obvious than a sheet carelessly wrapped around the hip, because it's such an eye-catcher. Makes it look like they went for the obvious joke rather than intimacy.
And I'm certainly not saying that they (or anyone else) are not allowed to be naked because of their age (citing my parents as an example wasn't just a metaphore, mind you). I meant that, while most people went "hm, yummy" when they saw that pic, looking at such an intimate and familiar scene felt like I'm intruding on someone else's privacy, because it doesn't look as staged as the making out scenes for instance (except for the laptop, obviously). I don't know, maybe its just the angle of that shot.

I had a problem with House walking around naked, I just could not picture him doing so. What was, the point, except having us giggle? I'd rather see less of him if it is not necessary. Same with the "wanna make out" moment in Private Lives, I had a WTF? moment. I don't like these random bits which just seem to happen like in fanfiction.
For the bedroom scene, I'm OK. It has a meaning showing us comfort, intimacy with Cuddy.
And I honestly have no clue about the laptop use, but, hey, it 's my laptop!! :D

I think House walking around naked in Wilson's place was just to annoy Sam as much as he could. This happened at the very beginning of Wilson's hooking up with his ex. House is a very jealous guy, as we've seen numerous times before and is not above playing very dirty.
I'm anxious to see how all these promos and photos actually play out. It seems they are from at least two different episodes, maybe more.

I don't think he was walking around naked to annoy Sam, since he didn't know Sam was even there.
I think House was just walking around naked, because he thought he was alone.
As for the laptop picture. It doesn't bother me. I like how intimate and comfortable House and Cuddy look in the shot.

What I love about that shot where we see House/Cuddy in front of Wilson is the fact that for once it's House and Cuddy against Wilson. Usually House is on his own with Cuddy and Wilson collaborating against him, or House is alone because Wilson has found a new love interest, be it Amber or Sam. I'm so happy for House that he finally got some support, too.
It is interesting to see House & Cuddy facing off at Wilson -- I can't recall us ever seeing that before -- but there have been plenty of times when it's House & Wilson vs. Cuddy. Not necessarily standing in her office together, but conspiring together about something she's done. When she tripped House, Wilson came to the Clinic and gleefully/playfully asked what they were going to do to get back at her. In "All In" (the poker tournament ep), Wilson helped House sneak behind Cuddy's back to treat Cuddy's patient. Wilson spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on a condo to show support for House when Cuddy "hurt my friend."

You're right, I don't know why I was under the impression that House is usually on his own, maybe because 'Baggage' was still fresh and on my mind?
Based on promo I just saw, there is a scene where Cuddy whispers to House that she thinks someone is breaking in. Next scene, House is in kitchen in his robe while Wilson is breakin in through the window.
Another scene, Cuddy is telling House he is blowing the case.
Are you sure she's talking about the case? Maybe she's referring to their relationship? Either way, I'm very intrigued, I can't wait to see some angst and conflict at work ;).
And doesn't Wilson own a key/isn't there a spare key hidden on the frame anymore? Anyway, it's sweet he's so concerned about House that he goes to this much trouble to look after him.
I love the promo, it's a great compilation of scenes. And looks like House lays Cuddy down on the bed (I'm gonna ignore the fact that realistically he probably wouldn't be able to lift her with his disability...) and I actually pictured him doing that, or rather I hoped for it, because it would be so sweet and sort of gallantly, but I didn't dare to hope for it, so I'm extremely happy with this ;).

See, that's what I was saying : we wanted to see that, so we are given it, even if 10 mn earlier he was not able to stand up on his own (Cuddy's still wearing her scrubs). What is sad is that I, too, am happy to see that. I am turning in a teenage girl. :?
And I love Taub's line. And I love that Chase is calling House. And Hugh looks hot in his robe. I think I missed them all.
ruthless- 09-12-2010
Maybe Cuddy has the spare key now. Cuddy is pretty small, and House, despite his disability, is quite strong. My guess is that he doesn't have to carry her far. It 's a terrific scene, which I hope we actually get to see. I also love the "let's go bowling", lifting up the covers, and then "let's stay here". Man doesn't need the little blue pills yet!
It makes sense to me that she is talking about blowing the "case". I think this is in episode 2 (based on her outfit) which concerns the two kids in a family, and they obviously disagree on how to handle it

Oh, and I forgot how much I love Cuddy's expression, just the hint of a smile, when House says "stay here". It just says "like I don't know".

Yeah, in season two, according to Stacy, carrying a backpack was a challenge for him and now this ;). Any chance it can be explained by adrenaline rushing through his system? Or maybe Cuddy is just that light...she does look tiny next to him.
Hey, are you calling me a teenage girl? ;)
ETA: Oh, and I forgot how much I love Cuddy's expression, just the hint of a smile, when House says "stay here". It just says "like I don't know".
Yeah, me too. I love that she enjoys his humour and probably can't help feeling flattered.

I've always assumed that Stacy's reference was to the "walk and carry" over a longer distance -- like an airport terminal -- and that it was more of a balancing issue since we've seen House carrying his backpack on an almost weekly basis.
And of course during "Forever," we also saw House run when he realized something was wrong with his patient and baby Mikey. So he can do things via adrenaline when the moment is right.

When Stacy left, he was still in a very bad shape, I think, and improved after (no way he is not exercising somehow, even if he denies it).
And yes, this is a huge adrenaline rush. Maybe he just lifts her upon the bed. Or kissing and hugging (since he is barechested) already brought him endorphins.
Oh, I like it, anyway.
