Latest Ausiello item be damned (see spoilers only thread), I do not want a Huddy wedding. Or any wedding on House, ever again. (But another bachelor party might be okay.)
I highly doubt that Ausiello's scoop is about House, but I'd actually be ok with a House/Cuddy wedding, as long as it's not your classical standard ceremony, and more of an impulsive, somehow screwed up, maybe even secretly done (and maybe even kept undisclosed) thing.
What I don't want to see is House moving in with Cuddy and abandoning his own apartment once again. I'm not saying TPTB can't make it work, but right now, thinking about it hypothetically, I'm not too keen on the idea.
So yeah, I could see them marrying as some sort of symbol for their commitment to each other, but deciding that they need their own space from time to time and don't want to be living together permanently.

I don't want a Huddy wedding either. I don't especially want Huddy at all because I think it's going to be a big distraction from the medical mysteries. While I wouldn't mind another wedding, I don't want to see House get married. I've never believed he was the kind of guy who would go for he binds of marriage.

I can see a "live close by, visit often"- type long-term relationship with separate residences, with or without marriage. I can even see that happening with matching gold bands and a quiet disclosure to the hospital's board and HR department that the dean has married a department head, with all the ensuing complications. What I cannot see, and do not wish to see, HL's gorgeousness in a tuxedo notwithstanding, is a wedding.
Personally I'm hoping that the Ausiello item refers to the long-overdue (IMO) series finale of "How I Met Your Mother."

As most of us are expecting this kind of "really close, but not together all the time" long term relationship, I bet it is exactly what we are not going to get, where would be the fun, from the writers point of view?
After all, House wanted to move in after their supposed one-night together, so maybe it's Cuddy who has to keep him at bay ; maybe he will want to commit.
And I agree with HL hotness in a tux. Poeia, you once said you wanted to jump him when House is wearing it.
Maybe we should run a poll... :P

I don't believe that Ausiello is writing about "House." I think the marriage blind rumor is for another show, perhaps "Bones."
As for House and Cuddy getting married, I don't think it will happen because I don't think it is necessary to this twisty, intriguing relationship. I have a few more comments on this which I will take to the House/Cuddy relationship thread.

I'm hoping the rumor is about Bones. I don't think it's about Huddy. I just don't see Huddy working out in the long term.

Yeah, I meant something along these lines.
But if you ask me, House in a tux does nothing for me, House covered in dust and debris (as seen in 'Help me' or 'House's head') or House wearing nothing at all (let's get down to the real business) is much more like it ;).

I don't for one minute think that spoiler applies to House and Cuddy. I don't see TPTB letting House get married.
In regards to Ausiello's latest spoiler: By psychiatric resident, do they mean resident/intern in a psych hospital or a patient/resident in a psych hospital?
What could be the catch?
kalliemanx- 07-22-2010
Good point about whether this person works at a psych facility or received treatment there. When I saw this all together I immediately thought ex-model, psych hospital, eating disorder. I also suspect that the "big catch" is that they are looking for a plus-size hire.
On the other hand, I wonder if this is a short term thing like with Amber Tamblyn, or if the "too spoilery" catch is that she is replacing someone other than AT?
Cuddyclothes- 07-22-2010
A psychiatristic resident is someone who works at a psych hospital, not a patient. I would be delighted with a plus-size hire, except for the inevitable fat jokes.
It might also be a man.
filmlover- 07-22-2010
True, there are male models. Since we have enough males on this show, I'm hoping it is female.
Ok, so it is a psychiatric resident in the resident/employee category.
If she was a former patient, she and House could have bonded over that shared experience.
Well, suffice it to say, I am curious as to this catch and the reason for hiring her or him.
Namaste- 07-22-2010
Just pure speculation here, but OW's got a lot happening in the film world right now. (Filming of "Cowboys and Aliens" now, for instance.) Maybe she's going to end up being gone for longer than first expected.
travin1- 07-23-2010
Maybe it's a hand model! lol Sorry, guess that should be in the crack thread. :)
And can I just say yay for Amber Tamblyn?
What_Box?- 07-24-2010
Curious. I've long maintained that PPTH does not have a person on its staff who wouldn't benefit from therapy, but honestly, what purpose would a psychiatrist serve as a replacement on the cast for Thirteen? I hope they aren't planning on that much action outside the diagnostics dept.

Wooot for the first promo!! House's jacket, Cuddy's shoes on the floor and are those her scrubs!!!?? Dies..
