I just read in the spoiler thread the list of guest stars for the epi "Ugly" (Nov. 13). Michael Michelle is there again. Is she going to be in more than one epi? Is it a mistake?
oh no :<
what if she's the new "love candidate". or maybe it was just a mistake :>

From what I understand from previous spoilers, House will invite MM to join his team. I don't see the CIA giving up one of their doctors but it will be interesting to see everyone's reaction to her presence - if you know what I mean :)

All I can hope for is that she won't be a regular.

All I can hope for is that a mistake!

The following was posted at http://www.housemd-guide.com/spoilers.php on
September 6, 2007: David Lomazoff sent us a link to The Ausiello Report - Exclusive: ER Doc to Make a House Call "... former ER M.D. Michael Michele" will play a part on a future episode where "Doc Crankypants meets the CIA medicine woman when he's called to the agency to care for a patient. She wows him with her bedside manner, and wham, bam, thank-you-ma'am, he invites her to come work for him at PP."

Oh yeah, because there are not enough people around PPTH already, and everything we need is a another "smart, mysterious, witty" woman to fall for House... How original and unexpected...

I don't think she's going to be mysterious or witty. I think she's going to act like a grown-up sans the Cuddy sexwear, the instrusive and judgmentalness of Cameron, and the "I've got a secret antics" of 13.
Namaste- 10-27-2007
I wouldn't worry about Michaell Michelle. Oddly enough she's listed with the "guest cast." The regulars vying for the positions are. That would imply that she's only there for one or two shots, not long term.

The contenders aren't listed anywhere on the press release. Maybe they are trying to avoid giving away who (if anyone) is eliminated in the previous episode.

Do we know if all or any of the 3 new fellows will stay for the whole season, or more?
I seem to remember they're on for 7-8-9 eppies arc, but that just might be wishful thinking.

There is no such kind of woman in Houseverse!
That's ok, I'm not really worried about that, but a little less people around would be nice...

Hey I'm okay with it because it will mean H/W scenes and that's always a good thing.

I think it was supposed to be a 8 episode arc. Does it end Nov 27th or the first week in December? I'm confused. :(

Or just distancing himself because faced with House's attitude towards his own death, his lack of caring, he decides to try and ease the hurt of the potential loss of House by putting some distance between them? maybe the knife incident increased the distance
Sometimes it's so hard to keep straight (ahem) which thread I am in. Is this spoiler spec or the hoyay thread (not that the two are mutually exclusive)? Bear with me, I'm not just trying to be rude--I have a point. To someone who does not ride the House/Wilson train, what occurs to me is this: House sticks the knife in the electrical socket, wakes up and tells Wilson he loves him. Then Wilson starts avoiding House. Hmm. Could be the complicated mental gymnastics of Wilson deciding to distance himself from House so it won't hurt so much when House finally goes too far and kills himself (how does that work? out of sight out of mind or absence makes the heart grow fonder?) or it could be that House actually saying right out loud that he loves Wilson really spooked him so he's keeping his distance from House. I'm prepared to be stoned for this but it seems just as likely to me that Wilson doesn't want House to love him that way and that's why he's backed off their friendship. Go ahead, aim those slingshots!!!!

Well, you failed!
I don't think it's a spoiler. This is just speculation and it's not only about hoyay.
Personally I don't think the supposed distance is because of the "I love you". I guess Wilson is still angry about the knife thing and the new obsession House seems to have with the after life. Can you blame him?
sasmom- 10-27-2007
As one who doesn't see House/Wilson as a "ship," I also wonder whether if all the threads aren't hoyay threads in disguise (or drag).
I saw the "i love you" as a colloquiolism much like if someone brought me a ginger ice cream from my favorite ice cream shop just when I was hankerin' for something spicy, sweet and cold to eat. I would likely say to them: I love you. It wouldn't mean I want to jump their bones (unless it was sasdad, whose bones I always like to jump.)
To get my post back on topic (spoiler speculaton, right? ;)
I think the CIA doc will get to House in some way that other women in his orbit may not. Maybe she has a dimension that he respects and longs for; maybe she has a matter-of-fact bedside manner that he appreciates or is similar to his style. Maybe she's learned to work with minimal information (like he often has to); or maybe she's learned to distance herself from patients without sacrificing any humanity--something that House hasn't learned to do.
