There is a pretty detailed description of the relevant scenes with Franka's character on huddy-online now... Wow. I'm sure it has some deeper meaning but right now I don't know what to think of it.

To quote Cuddy "everyone expects that this is going somewhere", only like Foreman and Thirteen leaving, it never does.
If the storyline with Chase ends up with him and Cameron closer together, then the story IS going somewhere. I can see Chase thinking that he could handle euthanasia because "every doctor Ive ever worked with has done it," but then having real issues with guilt, especially with his Catholic background. No matter where his faith is now, at one point he took the doctrines of the Church pretty seriously, so they could still influence him. If it does turn into a story of faith, that could be one reason he doesn't share his feelings with Cameron because he knows she has no faith. This is a big difference in their personalities so seeing them confront those differences and come out stronger would definitely be a story worth watching IMO. I hope his lapsed faith does play a part in the story because the faithful, praying in hopes that someone is listening part of him sets him apart from the other characters and it would be a nice change of pace for the show.

Does anyone who has read the whole description of 6 x01 know if Wilson has anything more than the one phone call scene? I would really appreciate finally knowing the truth about that.
Manu- 09-03-2009
No, that's his only scene.

Thanks Manu :) I had hoped that wasn't the case, but thanks for letting me know that.

Is nothing sacred??? A House/Wilson roadtrip with CUDDY? Nooooooooooooo. I'm smelling a major contrivance or two in this episode.
That was immediately my thought. Why, why, oh why does Cuddy have to be there? The first time I read this spoiler I thought contrivance. It really doesn't make sense for Cuddy to be there. I also smell fan manipulation. If it involves Wilson, I will definitely watch. House and Cuddy - not so much.
The House has sex with Franka spoiler is so awesome. Imagine a 50 year old man making a connection with a woman he's attracted to and doing the do with her. Hello!! totally normal and mature. This reminds me of House's connection with Stacy. When he sees a woman he wants, he knows how to put the moves on and handle his business. I don't care if it lasts. It's just nice to know House can act like a grown-up when he chooses to.

Given the way Huddy's been written, I'll be glad to see House with another woman... maybe they'll have a less juvenile relationship. No broken toilets or trip wires. I hope that the trip doesn't make it come across like Cuddy is really friends with House and Wilson because I've never gotten that impression from the show. She's obsessed with House and would throw Wilson under a bus for House's benefit, so I don't expect to see them as buddies.

In the history of this show, there have been 3 trips that have kept House away from PPTH -- one with Stacy (Failure to Communicate), one with Cuddy (Airborne), and one with Wilson (Birthmarks -- not professionally related). It's been established IN CANON that Cuddy attends conferences, occasionally with House. It seems to me that Wilson is the one invading this time (not that I mind one little bit).

Tell me about it. I'll be glad to see him (hopefully) acting like an adult about a relationship. It's really just nice to know he'll be connecting with someone on a romantic level and that he is capable of going for it. Of course Cuddy's a lot of the problem in Huddy too, so maybe she could learn a thing or two from this woman.

I think this is what the show is (and has been) trying to sell. I used to have hope for it being this way too, but "Simple Explanation" was the last straw that broke that hope and now I don't believe Cuddy and Wilson are really friends. And I don't know what to call House and Cuddy, friends seems to be the closest, but that no longer sounds right either. Saying all that to say, I agree with you, Cuddy is not what I would call a friend to either House or Wilson.

What about Son of a Coma Guy?

This is true. I was talking about trips that had taken House out of the medical story at the hospital, and this trip had everything (at least on paper) to do with the medical story, but you're right.

Sorry. That doesn't make sense. House and Wilson are best friends. When House leaves Mayfield, he goes to live with Wilson. The trip House and Cuddy took in the Airborne episode was business-related. It has been established IN CANON that House and Cuddy went to one conference together. House first laid eyes on Wilson at a conference and found him so NOT BORING that he bailed him out of jail and IN CANON they are best friends.
I do mind that Cuddy will be there. I would prefer for it to be just House and Wilson but it's not. My only consolation is that there will be more Wilson than either House or Cuddy. And I am hoping that Wilson's stuff relates back in some way to the tender moment guy. I still don't get why the guy playing the song over and over again would piss Wilson off so bad, that he would throw something. I just feel like there's more to that story.

I think House and Cuddy are friends. They have shown that they care more for each other than just boss/employee. Their relationship has been shown to be more than that and I'm not just talking about S5. Granted it isn't the same type of relationship/friendship he has with Wilson but it is a friendship, IMO.
This should be a fun episode. Maybe we will get some good angst out of it. Who knows what will be revealed about their relationships with each other? I'm talking about the relationship of all three of them. Not a particular ship.
