I'm sure House will think he's finished with treatment as soon as he's not hallucinating anymore and he's detoxed from the Vicodin. The psychiatrists will want to get at the behavioral and thought patterns that got him to that point in the first place, but he'll be more interested in showing off that he's perfectly competent in the one area that matters to him, which is medicine. Makes sense. Since many actions in House-verse serve multiple purposes, a small part of it may also be his way of playfully getting back at Dr. Beasley for her “This is going to be fun” remark by disrupting her group sessions and so on. One of the promo pics for the episode shows him looking on intrigued as Franka conducts an activity session for the patients and I am thinking he’s going to have a grudging respect and attraction for her. Dr. Beasley + Franka (and the way he responds to them) = Cuddy (and the way he responds to her), I think. I also suspect that the Lin Manuel Miranda character may be a bit of a stand in for Wilson. Not boring, intrigued by House and so on. don't you think that they'll mention stacy in the first episode?she has been, after all,an important factor of house's breakdown IMO. Realistically many things and people could and would come up in the therapy sessions – his childhood, his infarction, parents, Stacy, Wilson, Cuddy and so on. Not sure if they will show us all of them but look forward to seeing what they choose to focus on.

One of the promo shots shows Lin Manuel Miranda's character and House both lying in bed. Check out their respective sides of the room. Drawers closed in an orderly manner on LMM's side of the room, drawers all ajar with stuff hanging out on House's. Hee.

I don't know if anyone else noticed this (and of course maybe I'm just seeing things) but on the larger version of the episode photos it shows House sitting on the bench outside. If you look at his sneakers, there are no laces in them but in his room and in the group therapy scene when they show his shoes; it looks like the laces are in them. I wonder if he is on sucide watch for awhile?

Question: Give us a House spoiler, please! —Zachary Ausiello: Cuddy knows that House made imaginary love to her last May. “It’s referenced in an upcoming episode,” House boss David Shore tells me. “She’s aware of it and she confronts him. She wants to know where all that stands.” That makes two of us. I am thrilled to know that Cuddy learns of this. I was afraid she wouldn't find out. I hope the way it is handled between them is similar to some of the lovely talks we know they have the potential of and have seen and not one in which Cuddy treats it in the same fashion of "I think we are suppose to kiss now". Perhaps with House trying to change, he will be more open to talking with her and Cuddy will be a little more gentle and open with her feelings, too. My ultimate wish is for somewhere Cuddy tells House he is more than a hospital asset to her. I could then make peace with the finale.

I was also afraid that Cuddy wouldn't find out. This should be a good scene/conversation between them. Hopefully, it won't be like the boob grab scene, but that a real conversation comes forth and leads to some understanding and growth in their relationship. So, House will become obsessive about cooking. I can't wait to see this. He may end up driving poor Wilson crazy

I'd love to see House preparing a recipe in Wilson's kitchen as he follows along with Julia Child instructing him via his laptop computer screen.

Apparently, the scene from the season opener being shown in the Fox Fall Preview may be on Hulu. I'm at work and can't check it just now (so didn't want to put in the spoilers only thread) but someone else may want to look.

I saw it and it is the House that we have come to know and love. Wonder when he will become humbled at this place? He did admit himself to Mayfield so I hope he does try a little bit to let his guard down. Otherwise, why would he go? I suspect we are seeing the typical House in previews and when the episode actually airs, we will see a more subdued and humbled and broken man. And based on the name of the episode, I think that will have to come into play. They are saving the best for Sept 21st?

For the longest time, I didn't want to watch House because every promo I saw looked like it was just a gimicky-show, full of witty one liners and goofy things that just made me roll my eyes. (its hard to admit, being that I'm a fangirl now) But Seriously I remember NOT liking House because of what image it put off in promos... I do enjoy the more dramatic promos now (the non-romance dramatic ones!) and wonder why they focus on comedy so much when the show is more serious. (IMO..) I mean, I know there are lots of funny parts to it, and now, I LOVE the grumpy-House one liners and 'funny things,' but I think its because I've come to love the character and learned he's more of an angsty tortured guy than what the promos first led me to believe.. anyway, just wanted to share my thoughts. Also, cooking yay!! Funny I was just thinking about how one day I should buy a cook book and learn to cook, but then I would need to get over the common sense beginner cooking things books prob don't tell you! It just seems like a big endevour. Maybe watching a 50 year old guy obsess over learning to cook for the first time will motivate this failure 21 year old girl to learn to not be intimidated by cooking lol. So yes, I am looking forward to his cooking storyline!

I am thrilled to know that Cuddy learns of this. I was afraid she wouldn't find out. I must say I am rather surprised. I had no doubt Cuddy would figure out what happened based on the clues but I never expected her to confront House about it. I assume it will happen in either episode 6 or 7 since DS said it was in an upcoming episode and Hugh mentioned in the chat that they are currently wrapping up shooting for 5. Doris Egan tweeted about being at work with Matt Lewis on Aug 16th and about being in the Notes Waiting Room with him on Aug 17th. Perhaps they were working on the 6th or 7th episode? It would make sense for her to write the scene since she wrote “BSN”. Anyway, I really hope she does because I love her dialog and how she writes Cuddy. I'd love to see House preparing a recipe in Wilson's kitchen as he follows along with Julia Child instructing him via his laptop computer screen. And crowd the kitchen with all sorts of unnecessary equipment much to Wilson’s dismay. :)

I really love the idea of House taking up cooking. How a person cooks says so much about their personality. Is House the kind of cook who follows a recipe to the letter with no deviation or is he the kind of cook who likes to improvise and experiment? While there is lots of potential for comedy gold in this particular storyline I think it will be interesting to see if the writers use it as a way to explore House's personality and his mental health issues. On another note, do we know for sure that House will be detoxing from the vicodin? I can't wait to see how his doctors handle his pain problem. I'm really looking forward to the season.

Lisa Partypants- 08-27-2009

Perhaps they were working on the 6th or 7th episode Omar Epps tweeted that they were doing a read through for ep. 7. I believe they typically work on more than one episode at a time, right? So maybe they're now filming 6 but doing the read through for 7? (Glad I'm not an actor because that would confuse me greatly! :p )

extra_cat- 08-27-2009

I don't follow twitters, but someone told me that there are tweets that say Chase and Cam disappear again after a couple of episodes. Does anyone know if that's true?

Gobblin- 08-27-2009

From what we know E_C they are still heavily featured in the episodes that have been shot i.e Ep 6

vitawash99- 08-27-2009

I think there was something about the storyline focus shifting around sweeps month. But no hints about if that meant they were no longer working on House's team, etc., or if that just meant that the marital angst situation was receding in favor of splashier stuff.
