Its not weird, I suspect a lot of folks feel the same way - I certainly do. The sexcapades did positive nothing for either of them, though it certainly confirmed what I had long suspected about both of their characters, but post-AYA with Chase being more assertive it works in a strange way. And that scene really does make logical sense based on what's gone before.
I saw a reference that Garrett Lerner wrote this ep. I have mixed feelings about this - he wrote Meaning (which I didn't care for), & Euphoria II both of which have some gapping medical holes, but Euphoria offered bloody-minded Foreman (needle stick), which could be interesting if he makes a repeat appearance at Mercy.

I just read through all the eps he's written and I'm suddenly very afraid. Meaning, Cane and Able, and Fetel Position? Three of my most hated episodes? Shoot me now. :sweatdrop:
The only decent thing I could find was Skin Deep.

Meaning sucked IMO, but Cane & Able & FP, whatever their faults, both had awesome Chase, particularly FP so I'm happy on that score! (come on, this is the guy who came up with "glowing" Chase!).
He also wrote Acceptance, which I really liked. (purty Chase & Foreman being bloody minded with Clarence - I'm sensing a theme here).

I must have missed that he wrote Acceptance, that calms me down some. I really loved that episode.

Thank you!!! I'm sitting here in a hotel room in beautiful Copenhagen, ready to go to bed on a Tuesday night without having seen tonight's House episode; as a tide me over, I watched the Fox clip about 20-30 times (such a chore!) and never could make out that one line Chase said. I too occasionally have trouble with his accent. Sometimes my husband can figure it out, but he couldn't decipher it either this time, although I didn't make him watch it that many times, or he'd likely catch on to my addiction.
I was thinking they were refering to Scooter in the scene, but we'll see. I am anxious to wake up tomorrow and read all your comments about the episode. I'm sure I can count on my fellow Chasers for any pertinent details re Chase, too.
As SZ said, finally there's something Cameron and I can agree on.

Well, all's right with the world, the Fox voiceover guy just said tonight's House episode would be "shocking". No false advertising this week!

Regarding the RSL interview, what tone of voice is RSL using when describing the Super Bowl episodes (I dropped my laptop, and the sound isn't working)? I'm having a difficult time believing that he's serious. Using two techniques like b & w cinematography and backwards storytelling does not seem like the best way to appeal to a mainstream audience, even if both techniques are implemented brilliantly. Now my curiosity is piqued. Are they thinking about something like Memento or does "backward" mean something as traditional as a flashback, which often features b & w cinematography? The second option makes more sense. Personally, I wouldn't be averse to a more risky episode. I just doubt that Fox would greenlight it.
I'd also like to express my love for the new House t-shirt in the promo. 'Guerrilla' is emblazoned across the front. Very fitting.

I don't think he was serious at all, and the interviewer was chuckling.

They could have some real fun with the fellow whitling. They are all so likeable (except the one who has only had two lines - don't know about him).
And who is Walter!?
Jouse- 10-10-2007
THE TALMUD!! Oh RSL, you make me toothache with laughing.
AND AGAIN he says he doesn't enjoy working. I wonder if all the castmates and PTB are taking this in good spirits.
idonmatrix- 10-10-2007
RSL hates celebrity not his fans or the show. He's obviously a very private person so if he misdirects, says off-the-wall things about the show people won't pry into his personal life. I ABSOLUTELY love the things that he says.
He says that he doesn't like to work much but we've seen him more in S4 then all of S1 and S2 combined. I think it will exceed S3 by mid-season.
And by the way, who the hell likes to work. I know I don't. I do but I don't like it. I 'd rather spend my time pondering the mysteries of the universe and H/W of course. But there's a house note to pay, food and clothig to buy, a car to drive, medical insurance, etc.
I think the TPTB and hsi co-workers are fine with what he says. And does it matter when he's got a huge fan base that love him?

You just have to be Debbie Downer, don't you
Two weeks, I have two weeks to bask in this glow and then I'll go in bitching mode over Wilson's one scene.

Do we know anything about that one scene, 407?
I'm still hoping that Wilson visits Psychic!Lady for some reason and she sees his Long Lost Brother. Or maybe House drags him in, thinking that if she sees the LLB it might prove she's legit.

If that happens, I shall have to come onto this board screaming 'I TOLD YOU SO' an annoying amount of times. I still believe that TRS contained a shout-out to LLB. I stand by my theory.
And all I know of the Wilson scene is that it's confusing (bear in mind that my source had not scene episodes 2 and 3 when they watched this episode, so I don't know if that'll change...)
Actually, thinking about that we're probably not going to get another LLB shout out (yes, another!), but I live in hope.
I am looking forward to old Grandpa Walter though...
Not looking forward to the 2 week wait.
