How cool would it be if the therapist was Gordon Gordon Wyatt!
Is that the character that Stephen Fry played on Bones? If so, it would indeed be cool.

I would love it to death if Stephen guested on House, whether as Gordon Wyatt or any other character. Emma Thompson, too.
If House isn't in NY seeing his shrink, it has to have something to do with his biological father (or birth family if he was adopted).
I knew it was Kutner getting killed off at the end of the season. At least it'll be one episode where Foreteen isn't front and center. It's why I'm hoping that the wedding in question is Chase and Cameron's, as awkward as it might be for Jesse & Jennifer.

I'm not counting on it. Shore will find a way to make that all about Foreteen and Thirteen's death sentence.
I think that clip from Locked In where Foreman is angsting about the diamond whatever he bought Thirteen is more time than the show spent on Chase's relationship with Cameron over the past two seasons with the exception of The Itch when their relationship was used as a Huddy prop).
 at how bored the patient is listening to Foreman go on and on.

Do we actually know it's Kutner or is it still speculation?

Chase actually gets to be in the Locked In ep? Wow! I wasn't expecting him to get to make an appearance at all in this "special ep".
If it really is Chase's bachelor party in ep. 22 I wonder if it's Cameron that proposes to him. They've reversed the traditional gender roles of that relationship from the beginning, why stop now?

I think the death is going to be Stacy... 'major' doesn't necessarily mean 'starring' and her death would be emotionally traumatic to House, for whom she's a major figure in his life (even if she's not of interest to the audience anymore). Also could lead to Huddy finally happening and being 'complicated' because of that.
fffaw- 03-24-2009
Ooooh, nice one, ether_bunny (and welcome, by the way)!
Good theory - it would definitely be interesting to see the consequences of that. The comment about the cast being "pretty much the same" could be a red herring to get us off the scent.
I love hearing alternative theories!
ether_bunny- 03-24-2009
Thanks for the welcome! I've been watching House since it started but I've never really been involved in fandom, then I stumbled across the spoiler and I was talking about it with one of my friends and I had to share our conclusions ^_^
Also, I really don't want Kutner to get offed :< We hardly know anything about him! I'm also not sure why that would be so traumatic to House... unless he was somehow directly involved in it. But he's pretty good at separating himself from the blame for it, even when Wilson was blaming him for Amber's death for needing to be picked up because he was drunk, House didn't put it onto himself. I have a hard time thinking he would blame himself over a suicide even if it was "because" of him, because suicide is still the direct choice of the person doing it. So if Kutner did do that, even if it was related to House somehow, I don't know that it would be a really traumatic event for House (as regrettable as he'd probably find it). Aside from Wilson and Cuddy, Stacy is the only one I can think of who has any real access to his emotions and one of the few people that he really loves...
fffaw- 03-24-2009
Well, we have the Kristin spoiler that says that the death "just happens" with no lead up to it and she specifies that it is on House.
The Ausiello spoiler says that someone kills themselves but doesn't specify the show. So there is a chance that they may be about 2 different shows.
I think if it was Stacy, it would be really interesting and it wouldn't be the second season in a row that they killed off one of House's employees, which would be nice, right? ;-)
Stacy is/was close with House, Cuddy & Wilson - it would be very shocking to them.
ether_bunny- 03-24-2009
That's true, I guess I just wanted to include the suicide bit just in case it IS for House. The thing about Stacy is that I can imagine it working for the spoiler whether it's suicide or not... either way it would be very dramatic for those three and probably the other members of the team by seeing how it is affecting their bosses/people they respect. Also, I'm pretty sure the old team met Stacy a few times and it might be shocking for them too, because she is one of those people who seems invincible for actually being able to deal with House in an effective way xD
And it might be very strange for them to see House deal with actual grief for once, too. He's pretty good at hiding everything but irritation from them.
BooBooKitty12- 03-24-2009
I agree that Stacy's death would hit House the hardest but supposedly this death affects everyone in someway. I think her death would only have a great impact on House.
Also, didn't either KJ or DS say a couple of months ago that someone on House's team may be leaving at the end of the season?
This leads me to believe it's either Foreman, Taub, Kutner or (I can only dream) Thirteen.
reckless- 03-24-2009
Stacy dying would be like friend you haven't seen for 3 years dying, it would affect House, Wilson and Cuddy will be sad for a day but would hardly touch the rest.
I still feel Taub will be the one. I know it's expected and the whole shocking thing doesn't apply but do keep in mind, off the few million people that watch House every week only a tiny minority is involved in fandom and speculation and sites like this. For most Taub (or Kutner) offing himself will be a huge shock.
ether_bunny- 03-24-2009
Depending on House deals with it, it could impact everyone. House could end up taking a leave of absence or something like that... which would be pretty rocky for all involved I'd think. But it might be someone more close to all of them, I just think Stacy is a good prospect for it because of House's emotional distance from most of the other people he works with.
I actually like Thirteen so I hope it isn't her (but I know that's an unpopular opinion lol so I can't begrudge other people for wanting her out). I would be less bothered by losing Taub but I really don't want it to be Kutner because I feel like that would end up cheating his character out of having any meaningful development in the show :< I'm not sure how I'd feel if it was Foreman, my opinion of him has always been pretty neutral, but he doesn't seem likely to me, not least because I think the writers would get a lot of bad media for killing off the black guy >.>
DOB1234- 03-24-2009
The Stacey speculation is great, but I do think they've said someone on the team would leave. On the other hand, I don't think the death has to touch all of the characters on a personal basis in order to cause an uproar at PPTH. It's not even necessary for the members of the new team to know the person who dies. If the death deeply affects House, and he goes off the deep end, then that will affect everyone.
BTW, if you've watched the Letterman appearance you'll see that HL's beard seems much fuller than usual. We've had clean shaven House this season. Now it looks like we may get fully bearded House.
travin1- 03-24-2009
Well, it seems Mos Def's character has a virtual beach experience, so it doesn't look like it's a hallucination, but rather something to keep his brain active.
And yes, DOB1234 I noticed the fuller beard too. I'm looking forward to House going off the deep end.
